The reason for this is because the better you understand the issue, the more you'll understand the use case of what cosmos provides and the value that we have yet to tap into.

So, as most you guys know, bitcoin was the first cryptocurrency release that really allowed users to optimize payments, introduce the blockchain and it really created the thousands of different cryptocurrencies that we know now and just as a quick reminder for any of my super new beginners, a Blockchain is simply just a digital ledger of transactions that is spread out among an entire network of computers. The blockchain is the foundation of crypto, because it's created a system of recording information that makes it almost impossible to change hack or cheat the system. When bitcoin was first created, it wasn't off the intention that it be used for hundreds of custom applications. However, it was created for the idea that it could disrupt the financial institutions between peer-to-peer lending that didn't rely on a third party sort of like venmo cash, app or paypal, some of the most popular ones that we know exist today.

What was created for the use of custom applications was ethereum which combines smart contracts with that blockchain and now opens up hundreds of new ideas and projects. How does this all relate to cosmos? Well, cosmo's focus is to create an internet of blockchains, where any blockchain is able to communicate.

The purpose of all this is to create an ecosystem that enables interaction and more compatibility of blockchains that are not yet there.

Cosmos is currently ranked number 33 out of all the cryptocurrencies listed on the market and currently sitting at 20.86. At the time of this recording they have a market cap right now of 4.4 billion dollars and a 24 hour volume of 950 million, with a circulating supply of 210 million adam in the past one year they have increased 814 percent. However, in the past week they have been in the red at a loss of 17. With that being said, i do believe we are seeing good pressure and constant support for another potential massive pump and rocket to the moon with the overall market being so green.

It's tough finding, fundamentally good projects to invest in that haven't already shot up too much, where it's a little too late to board the train. However, with the coin like cosmos, i highly recommend you to check it out, because i believe right now we're seeing a good buying opportunity for anyone looking to aboard a new project. Maybe i got way too many uh video streaming services and um yeah. No after this video, i'm definitely gon na have to uh reconsider unsubscribe for some of those, but the whole point of the reason i mentioned that it's because i think it's safe to say that video streaming services are continuing to grow. But there are many pain points when it comes to this market. Just like me, you may be paying hundreds every month to different networks, although you may really just enjoy one or two series within that company streaming.

Services can add up exponentially over time and even in the past month of may, netflix has been cracking down on password sharing for these services streaming. Services are expensive and they can also be very limiting, depending on what area of the world you live in, sometimes netflix will restrict certain movies and shows from being viewed on your account, it's clear to say that centralized streaming services has its own set of issues, and I'm hoping that as cryptocurrency continues to evolve, we may see more decentralized service platforms that unify all the networks and are built to solve the problem. So the question is, though, what does theta have to do with this? So theta is actually pretty interesting. The use case for theta benefits the cost operations for video streaming services, like all the ones i mentioned, by reducing the load of content distribution network by putting it into theta's peer-to-peer network.

So i know that could have been just a little confusing. Let me try to break that down where it's a little bit easier to digest. So this pretty much means when we normally stream a video that connection is coming directly from netflix or hulu or hbo. Whatever platform we're watching it's coming directly from them.

Now you could be plugged into the ethernet cable. You could have the best data connection in the entire world, but if these companies ever buffer or if they have any type of lag on their end, you would still experience delays as a viewer. So what theta does is they provide a new infrastructure for these businesses which allow it to be decentralized and cheaper for those companies by offering a service that we know now as theta network? The great thing about theta is that they're not trying to be the next netflix or the next youtube. They just want to be the backbone.

So it saves more money for these larger companies, where maybe we see a reduction in our subscription price, better, faster web speeds - or we just begin to see more tv shows added to the network because they have a bigger budget. So the theta network uses two tokens. They have t fuel which pays for the data being streamed and the second token theta, which is a governance token, that's designed to simply help manage the community of the theta blockchain and guide it towards its path of greatness in the future. Now the great thing about the theta token is that there is a fixed supply with no inflation and the theta blockchain is fast and optimized for smaller payments.
