Now she regrets this tweet right. She said nitza how many more people have to die behind the wheel of a test autopilot before you do your job? Look, i'm not making this up.

This lady just accused tesla of killing people not even kidding not saying tesla, is bad. That tesla is not fun. This is a whole new level. This lady, in 2017, before she used to get this job 2017.
She accused tesla of murder. Literally, look i'm not making this up look look killing people, i mean what the hell um. She was actually right about this, but my lab has been running controlled experiments on tesla autopilot and basically, she says garbage, but she says that my students on this project should get hazardous duty pay.
So, first of all, she tweeted this in 2020, not that long ago. But why would you put your students in risk if you actually thought that which is kind of weird for a professor, these are kids. What the hell are you doing, but she's again, accusing tesla of horrendous things and now she's the advisor to the investigation? To get this, i guess now here's what i want to show you here. I just googled this because i just saw her accused tesla of causing deaths and being a murderous vehicle. So so far, i just googled this right now: tesla had 11 11 11 deaths in since 2016., so 11 people died since 2016, driving a tesla car 11 people yeah, and just for the curiosity, i was like okay, how many? What's this standard right? Where do i compare this to, and that was basically okay, how many people die every day on the road and the accidents? I was like okay, so this is what i got so average number of car accidents in the us every year is six million. So six million accidents per year, more than 90 people die in accidents every day, so 90 people die in accidents every day in the u.s and every day, and we're talking about a company that had 11 deaths in their cars, not even insurance, their fault since 2016.. So in five years, 11 deaths so give or take 2.2 deaths per year and you're investigating them. What the hell.
This does not make Duke University look good either.
I'm still waiting for CNBC to drag Bob Lutz out again so he can tell us how TSLA will never make it and how GM's EV's are so much better and then watching every CNBC host/'reporter' be afraid to call him out on it, as usual.
The problem with your presentation is you failed to make allowance for the relative size difference between Tesla and the total data set. For example what is the total number of miles driven in the US per period compared to the Total number of miles driven by Tesla's.
To be totally non biased you have to account for every variable. Different locations, times, geography, age groups, gender mix etc.
My gut feeling is there is bias, but you can not prove bias with another bias. You need to be totally objective.
Got to remember Biden also tried appointing an ECO TERRORIST found guilty of tree spiking as the secretary of the interior…

but but but Tom… it's important to compare 90 deaths per day but from how many cars in total? I mean if I'm a Tesla contrarian (which I'm not) I'd say 'yeah it's a lot of deaths, but Tesla's on the road are a miniscule fraction of all the rest of the cars'.
So to have an unbeatable argument we need the number of deaths as a percentage of total cars!

So normalize it to TSLA accidents to day, but also weight it with like 95% of cars are from other manfacturer!!!
So my point is there are less TSLA on the streets now, so the numbers need to be weighted with this fact.
STILL!!! I am quite sure TSLA is making less accidents than other car manifacturers, but would be good to see distributions per companies like Volvo (called the safest so far) and others.. Keep up!

you cant compare deaths in tesla to total deaths on the road in the year. tesla is a relatively tiny market share so it would have to be deaths per year adjusted for market share. in sure you know that though.
Honestly all this crap and unfairness just confirms to me that Tesla is *the one*. Holding onto my shares for the long run
