All right welcome back everyone. I am lead trainer with stocks to trade tim bowen. Today we're going to be talking about the top three books that i am reading and particularly studying in spring and summer of 2022. So you know i'm getting into you know a little bit more of uh what i would call technical more advanced.

I guess i would say so as always. Take advantage of the channel. I've been doing videos for over five years now, we've got hundreds, maybe thousands, thousands of videos. I've done a lot of videos on books, you know, and a lot of them are the beginning books and - and i actually have one that is a continuation of a book that i often often mention.

But again i want to give you kind of this. I wouldn't say these are necessarily like advanced advanced but kind of middle tier books, and these are ultimately ones that i've been looking at studying quite some time. I mean i, i think whether i learn anything or not. You're always looking to be sharpening that sword and uh.

You know a lot of them are based on. Actually, all three of these are very heavily weighted on technical analysis, and you know the reason i bring that up is today um if you've been on uh stacks of trade advisory the last few days. Obviously this video you're, probably watching who knows weeks months, maybe maybe years maybe decades down the road but the the week i'm recording. We were talking about muln and these technical levels.

So i'm looking at a a one month chart here, so each dark, black or dark gray area is a day. So we're going back about two weeks here and i and i drew this two days ago and we're really fixating on this technical breakout over that 210 level. And then let me show you jump back to the notes from this morning, and you know this is from 8 30 this morning on march 17th. Actually you could always go back if you're on stocks of trade advisory you've got the entire archive there.

If you're not click the link below check it out, i'm still live 8. 30 every every morning, 8 30 eastern breaking down the day, but you could go to the march 17 2022 happy st paddy's day. Um and mulm was the number one watch for a technical breakout and again. This is this.

Drawing is from a couple days ago, and this is that area we were looking at or actually yesterday march 16th. I guess so the drawings from yesterday. The notes are from this morning and with that 210 area we were talking about, and then you can see fast forward to today when that level broke right this morning, basically right at the market open or you could even say into that 9 45 window held vwap Here we are 267 up 45 on the day, not looking back. So i just want to make that point in that's what we're looking to learn, how to spot those technical breakouts.

So speaking of that this one's a little bit thinner than the next two get ready holy cow is this book actually that much list price is 75 bucks anyway, i still think it's worth it. I didn't. If i bought it, i thought it was worth it. I'm guessing it's that's the list price on the back anyway, um the candlestick course by steve, neeson uh.
If you watch the past videos, you know, i am i've said it a million times. The bible of candlestick patterns is japanese candlestick patterns by steve, neeson um love that book and especially because he goes into a lot of history. Many of you may or may not know. Japanese candlesticks got their name from traders.

Um, i'm gon na misquote this, but i believe 500 ish years ago, but you know way before computers way before you know any any like modern technology and they were using it for trading of commodities, grains, metals, etc. And that's that's where japanese candlesticks came from and in that book he goes in a lot of history. I i'm kind of a history buff and i always want to know where stuff come from. So that being said, get that book past videos on it with the japanese candlestick course is exactly that it takes.

It builds on top of the book and gives you lessons as well as quizzes and homework, and you know i mean listen. I think. Obviously you know here you go here's a bunch of quizzes, you know, obviously, unless the entire western educational system has been broken for several hundred years. This works, okay, the idea of studying something taking a test reviewing going back to seeing what you did wrong, studying and learning from it, so the japanese candlestick course, or just the candlestick course by steve neeson.

Next one is geez. Oh, i hurt my back this guy. Definitely a little bit bigger, so this is the encyclopedia of chart patterns second edition by thomas n, bolkowski. Okay, so i have had this, for i don't know, i would guess i probably had this a couple of years was published in 2005.

I'm thinking i bought it. A couple years ago and i have used it as a reference, so i would use the index and i would go through and you know and look up. You know from the index trying to spot and like if someone would mention a pattern. Because, again i mean listen.

I've been in this game 15 years. I don't listen. If you've been in this game 50 years, you don't know it all always have that learner's mind or that beginner's mindset, as they say, another great book by the way uh beginner's mindset, but you know i'm always looking to learn, improve, etc. So if i see someone mention something that i don't know especially patterns wise, this is a book that i have gone back to and used as a reference.

Now again it is weighing in at 400 and i'm gon na guess. 450. Oh no, 2. 000.

geez! I was way off, so that's why it's so dang heavy thousand and eight pages. So again i said spring and summer. My goal is to kind of work my way through this in the spring and summer of 22 and quit using it as a reference and actually know it. Well, the encyclopedia of chart patterns by thomas balkowski, you ready for this.
Hopefully, the you know my floor's all right. Next one is um the art and science of technical analysis. You might know from podcasts from videos etc. One of my very favorite - and i cannot recommend enough - is technical analysis on multiple time frames by brian, shannon, please, before you get this book before you get any technical analysis book, please get technical analysis on multiple time frames by brian, shannon again i mentioned it many Times in videos, we actually did a steady trade podcast with brian great guy, by the way, very fun, podcast and uh check out that podcast.

It's free still on youtube, but as always as i mentioned, always trying to learn, advance get better, and this has been highly highly recommended to me and i bought it. I think last fall if i remember right a while ago, so it's been on the list. It's time it is time to study and read the art and science of technical analysis and again this book has come highly highly highly recommended to me. I think you should check it out as well.

All right drop me a comment. What are you doing? What are you studying? What are you reading below drop me below? Because i'm not done you ain't done. Warren buffett. Ain't done bill.

Ackman ain't done, okay, nobody is done and if you're like, i don't want to read, i don't want to do all this stuff. Enjoy your unsuccessful trading enjoy your life of mediocrity and enjoy being a failure, because you are imparting on one of the most difficult things you might ever. Do that? That's what makes trading so rewarding? Okay, i love it. Okay, if you watch my videos, if you're on social trade advisor, you can see my enthusiasm, maybe the most well, not maybe it is the most challenging thing i have ever done in my life, except maybe parenting, okay, but the rewards.

Intellectually, monetary are there, but you have to constantly working at it. Okay, you let it slip all of a sudden, you're obsolete and your account's blown up drop me a comment below what are you reading? What are you studying? I'm always especially books. I love books. Would love to see what you're reading and, as always, check out the stocks? Trade advisory live every morning? 8 30 eastern and we will see you next time.
