In this video we go over the rise and fall of the Chinese e-commerce giant Alibaba. Two years ago Alibaba had an $800 billion market cap and a near monopoly in the domestic e-commerce market. Since then it has lost 70% of its market value and come under increasing scrutiny from the Chinese government. So what happened?

It’s a Chinese junk site that sells trash. The fact they have any business outside of China is amazing to me.
The way China is going with the zero Covid policies they won’t survive much longer if their people keep revolting about no job or electricity
Isn't Alibaba behind most Amazon deals?
Aripaapaa !!!!
Dont launder money and tax dodge in a country that dont give special treatment to billionaires and celebrities. Shoulda done that in america instead. Woulda been hailed as a hero if he did it here.
when will baba get to $100 again what is the botom price
Anyone know if jack ma is still alive or not? If alive, what is he doing now?
Alibaba all the crappy lowest quality products of the world you can find in one place.
You left out the most critical issue which caused Alibaba to fall: political issues. Its mostly politics which caused Xi to crack down on Alibaba and the ANT group. There is an internal faction war between Xi's party and Jiang Zemin's party. The ANT group is tied closer to Jiang Zemin's group. Xi's faction has been concerned that the ANT group has been laundering the money for Jiang Zemin's side. This is one of the main reasons why Xi's faction has been cracking down on the ANT group and prevented them from issuing the IPO. Xi's faction wants to prevent Jiang Zemin's group from gaining more power and removing him from office. It all comes down to politics more than just simple business failure.
This is the one channel you never want to see cover your stocks haha
Not liking any of your videos until you bring back THE WSB LOSSES!!! Give the people what they want!
He three months to Tibet to smoke Chunghwa Cigarettes….
Alibaba is still overpriced at around $90. They should be priced more like $50-$60 in a communist country. Too many fools bought at significantly overpriced stock and did not recognize that they are dealing with company operating in a communist country….
Russia is a developed market, not an emerging one.
I know everyone is going to criticise CCP here but I'm actually happy that they did what they did even if the motivation was of ego boosting.
Anti competitive practices are plaguing the market and tech giants are getting indirect control over people's lives.
This is what should have happened ideally against Amazon as well if anti trust laws were applied properly
I miss jack ma.
Are the shares ; like the other Chinese companies listed a traded bond on the Cayman Islands?
Damn Pooh Xi!
Terrible video. The Chinese market is evolving and Alibaba now has to compete more fairly. Their short-term profitability has decreased while they search for new areas and trim some of their inefficient practices. They are still an absolute behemoth and occupy a massive place in a gigantic market. Sounds like regulators and the market working to make things better for consumers.
You are turning into my Cramer.
Still overpriced.
If you trust communists, they will eventually screw you too.
