Hey this is tom and for lack of a better word. What just happened, so the ceo of twitter posted last night and elon will not be joining the board of directors of twitter and he put out a very chronological description of the timeline of how this happened. But he didn't offer an explanation or any sort of a reason why elon decided to relinquish his seat and make no mistakes about it. He wasn't fired, he wasn't kicked off and they did not retract their offer.

He decided not to join, which was clearly stated in the post on twitter, so why does he not want to see it on the board? I mean it's a really good way to influence to get done to transform everything he basically wants to do with twitter. I don't think you guys are going to like my answer. Like any truth, it's nuanced and it has a bunch of different circumstances playing into this decision. So what i think happened again.

This is just my opinion, like everything it may be. Inaccurate might be the ramblings of a madman, it's just my opinion, so here's my opinion and before i share my opinion, of course, as always, don't click? Nothing, don't smash, nothing don't buy nothing. We ain't got no courses, no paywall. No nothing! You have paper tom and people pay five dollars per month on your patent yeah.

They pay for a zoom call where we make fun of old russian movies, my guy blacks, so listen what happened with twitter? I just i impersonated myself. I don't know what that was. Anyways, i'm not gon na edit. Anything out, i can't be bothered have a long day, not interested in editing.

Today, look okay, so i think ellen started engaging with the members of the board of directors of twitter and the ceo and the current management, because obviously we all know for a fact that negotiations were taking place so they're going back and forth back and forth. Talking about it, trying to figure out the best formula to do it. Obviously their play was to keep him as close to them as possible and to prevent him that is from taking over the entire company, and that was clear stated because they basically said hey, we'll give you this board seat voluntarily. All you got to do is sign a little piece of paper that says that you're not going to go about 15 as long as you're a board member and for three months after you leave the board, which is reasonable.

I mean it's kind of a you know: cards are on the table, no problem with that and elon in principle agreed to this term, obviously because he went along with this nomination to the board now what happened? Next, i think, is quite alarming, because what happened next is something changed elon's mind. Now you may read the notice from the twitter ceo, where he makes it sound as if they put up requirements out of eland, which he didn't want to accept and that's why he slammed the door in them. That's kind of what's insinuated in the twitter post and i hope i don't lose. My twitter account over this, but i might with their history, who knows they might take my blue check mark away.
Oh i'll have one now that i care about my twitter profile and if they want to shut me up, it's fine. So here's what i think happened. So he went along with this and he basically said hey if i ever want to take over this company hey. I can always leave the board in three months, buy whatever i want right.

Also, you can pretty much control the company with 10 percent, it's being the biggest shareholder. I think when he got exposed to the actual people on the board of directors and the people on the management, he basically said these are a bunch of buffoons in bozos that are not good enough to turn this company into what i want it to be. It's basically it's a no bundle, no bueno, no bueno, no bueno. All of these guys got ta go and if you look at his uh twitter back and forth with carl icahn about firing 12 floors of people, i mean that seems to be the rationale.

He basically said well, these are clowns. I mean can't work with these people, i mean they all got to go, so it means that he understood that the current management and board directors of twitter is not good enough, and i can only support that look. They have the platform for a long ass time. They still haven't figured out monetization, it's still not really making any money.

The freedom of speech issues are staggering, not even gon na begin, so they're, basically playing god as far as censorship of what the truth is and what it isn't, and i find it weird anyways. So twitter has been screwing up for a long ass time. They haven't been innovating in anything i mean what have they done lately right, so i think he thought hey, i'm going to come in. I'm gon na teach these guys how to turn this thing from twitter to a new tesla, the tesla of freedom of speech and social media, and he basically said.

Oh me, i mean these guys are clowns, can do it, they all got ta go and that's why he basically said i'm not gon na be joining the board because he obviously now understands he has to go above 15 to basically kick all these guys out, and I would make an educated guess, or rather an educated bit, that this time next year, the entire management of twitter and their board of directors are going to be working on their linkedin profiles. Looking for a new job, if not sooner now, as a final remark into this whole saga, look i'm not for creating a platform where people can say racist things, things that are vile disgusting, inciting violence, intolerable things that can never be heard, but i'm definitely against people From deciding a corporation deciding whether a certain version of what happened is the legitimate truth and which it's not legitimate truth, which is the real news and which are the fake news. I find that something that has to be decided by the public, not by some corporate lackey pencil pusher. Now here's the thing i think twitter is going to be saved by elon and i think them pushing away elon with their whole.
Oh background check right: we want to have a background check on elon and he has to behave and he has the fiduciary duty, so he can post tits on twitter and stuff like that right. So i think they did a mistake. It's a strategic mistake because they had an opportunity to work with inland to make twitter better and now they lost it. The training is out of the station as far as what elon is going to do.

Look in 2030, much like with tesla. Everybody will remember that elon founded twitter, nobody remembers how elon got into tesla and basically became the founder. I think it's the rebirth of twitter, the saying that it was with tesla come in take a broken organization. That's lost its way and making it into the world's best software company that still a lot of people, think of as a car company he's going to do the same thing with twitter.

Obviously he needs new blood for that and for a lot of people, he's going to be viewed as the founder of new twitter and that's fine. Now my message to people who think that this is going to be a platform that is going to allow extremist views and vile discussion. I mean look the whole idea of freedom of speech as long as it's not like violence and like racism right is being able to tolerate things that make you feel uncomfortable. That's the whole idea.

The freedom of speech isn't designed to protect comfortable speech. That's kind of an understandable thing right. It's designed to protect things that make you feel uncomfortable, that's the whole point and twitter over the years has become a public utility. They no longer can be viewed as a private company that can do whatever they want and block and ban and censor whoever they want their public utility for a lack of any other alternatives, and i think elon realizes that you know you go ballistic on this company.

He's about to test the out of twitter, i can't wait to see what happens. See you next video.

I agree with you Tom – there’s a LOT of companies out there that are completely incompatible with how Musk runs things.

Twitter want their censoring power for the midterms so they can censor everything that Republicans say can say it is all "misinformation". Democrats can't win arguments so they can only call Republicans bad names and censor them.

Even if Musk can fix Twitter, i would never use twitter. I will stick with Truth Social now.

I think the problem with controlling the content that is available is the scale, languages and, indeed, the question; what is deemed appropriate.

It is almost impossible to have a platform that grants you the ability to voice any opinion you have on any subject, un-vetted.

Following a narrative makes judgment easy. I, in part, am not very interested in the opinion of others. That is why I do not use twitter. But it does sound like an interesting investment option if Elon will go to 15% to do what he thinks he has to.

Assuming that this time next year, Elon actually has taken a majority of twitter: with the market sentiment as it is (what ever Elon touches turns to gold), are you putting your money where your mouth is and buying twitter shares?
