Not sure if people realize how much development time Boston Dynamics has on Tesla. They had the prototype built and working towards bipedal balance around 2012.
Meetkevin has become so grossly disconnected from the common people. every video he's talking about how the feds policy effects the rich instead of the poor. in this one he's taliking about how 500 billion wouldnt go towards people for jobs and is enthusiatic about it. he gets mad when real estate prices drop but yet im here not able to pay rent and live the life i wanna live at the same time. its no wonder he ran as a democrat he doesn't give a damn about us commoners just like the rest of that party.
I think nobody pumps Tesla like Kevin does…. Average in…. It will eventually pay
Scary stuff. The world, all the world, needs these jobs. What will happen to society as we know it if no one can get a basic job to make a living. If a high percentage of jobs are all done by non humans. I think it could be disastrous.
anyone that knows how hard it is to train a neural network is laughing at the amount of BS in this presentation. No way, lol not even close… You can't get it to go outside and water the plants without a team of experts constantly training and adjusting weights to the neural network. It will come down to how hard it is to train and also how long the battery works while untethered, both are very hard problems to solve, and from what I saw in this presentation, there is no reason to think tesla has solved either one yet. We don't even have the technology for an untethered (or tethered) robot that can walk around in an environment that it hasn't been trained on… not even with a full time team of experts, and you think we are close to having one your mom can tell to go to the backyard to water the plants?
James Cameron's nightmare is becoming a reality.
That money “saved” wouldn’t go in to the economy. Also, we’ve no idea the cost per year of servicing the robots, let alone the energy costs which Tesla will incur.
Yeah sounds great I own TSLA and have been a early investor. But is this a this a good idea what about all those factory workers. Is this to much power under one only looking out for one? Yeah idk sounds great for Tesla but everyone else idk.
People don't realize how this Robot will change everything in the future.
Wow Kevin just worked out they plan to use bots in factory !
Look at this robot and extrapolate it for other ”inventions” , don’t get surprised when things start plumeting😮 use common sence.
This kind of show reminded me of a magicshow where you make a trivial trick big by smoke and mirrors..
Or more commonly used : ”if you polish a turd it is still a turd”
A Boston dynamics x Tesla partnership would be unstoppable
But where would the government collect its income taxes from???
Goofy Kevin said a robot can pick up and tape boxes. We already have that automated moron. As an automation engineer, Kevin and Elon have not been to a manufacturing facility or distribution center in a very long time.
Okay but what to do about poverty and homelessness after you replace the only paying jobs left? Factory work. The US would be literally a 2-tiered 3rd world country with a few insanely rich people and the rest of us living in abject poverty standing in a literal bread line all day. Your future utopian vision is literally the hunger games.
AWS will not disappear just because of dojo. it's an ecosystem that's integrated with vendors over the past decade.
I like tesla but I have to crub my enthusiasm. It reminds me of ASIMO from Honda in the way that the road ahead would be difficult and could be a big waste of time. Things like this and FSD needs to be perfect and I would think it become progressively more difficult . As of now the PV should be value near 0 if not negative.
Hey meet Kevin. When was the last time you visited a manufacturing facility? Cause I can tell you haven't been to one in a long time.
I m doubling my short 🩳 on Tesla.
Disney parks did better in 1950
I wasn’t impressed at all…. They should have not done this AT ALL…. Unless it was as smooth as Boston Dynamic.
Elon wants to be an irobot supervillain. "Nobody will have a job and I will have all the money and power."
Who's going to have the money to buy what the robots manufacture if the robots take all the jobs? I guess I'm missing that part of how this utopian future will work.
Job vacancy: Wash car, wash paths, wash windows, vacuum, sweep, load / unload dishwasher, load/unload washing machine, make beds, iron, open/close curtains, lay table, chop onions, peel carrots, open tins, pit out trash. Basic chat capabilities (linked into magazine subscriptions, eg womans weekly, but can “discuss” topics, not just read articles). Can look after house, lighting, heating settings. Take in parcels/post. Look after house while away on holiday. Intelligent house security… and feed the cat.
i see Mcdonald’s ordering Optimus.
UBI does not prevent you to work. Paid for doing anything. Unemployment pay does. Payed for doing nothing.
Huge difference.
"A robot that doesn't even walk can do that"… that's why I question the humanoid robot in factory setting. Functional robots can be built with far less tech and much more cheaply to replace warehouse/factory workers. Automated lifts, pick/pack, boxing, taping, labeling… name it, it can be automated. The real issue are unions that are working hard to prevent automation/less union labor in factories and explains why GM and Ford are so far behind with automation while Amazon and Tesla are the US's most successful companies.
this dude really believes in elon musk, and i believe in this dude. Househack & Tesla to the moon!
Nobody cares
