Anyone who thinks there won't be a wage price spiral is delusional. We have had a complete power shift to the employee side in a tight labor market and employers are trying to keep the employees that they have by paying them competitively. Couple the fact that the inflationary environment has given companies an excuse to jack their prices. Finally add all the PPP funds and stimis that companies have received, cash is abundant and allows the increased pay for employees. This is all a recipe for disaster. No way to remove liquidity from the market without increasing the cost of debt and continuing QT. A crash is imminent and necessary to stop the inflation train.
All we have to do is start pumping oil, but Biden wont do it and that is the issue here!!!! One mention of a spiral means = no issue. Pump oil to solve inflation issue.
