How and why did fake guru's come about? how do they benefit and how do they grab your attention? but more importantly, how can you spot and avoid a fake guru? in this video I talk about all that and more.
Fake guru's originated in 2015 when Tai Lopez released his infamous 'here in my garage video'. This paved the way for hundreds of other fake guru's, or those who profit from selling dubious online courses.
A mix of excellent sales/mental techniques and clever marketing are the perfect recipe to sell 'get rich quick' courses to the masses and generate millions, but what are those techniques? and how are Dan Lok, Samuel Leeds, Sam Ovens, Kevin David, Alex Becker and even more involved?
Be sure to watch the full video and comment 'Icing On the Cake' if you made it to the end. Thank you.

Icing on the cake. Love your content, but what's up with the video quality? I'm watching it in 1080p, yet it's like watching a zoom call. Keep up the great work!
What you think of Astro FX ?

What's with all the icing on the cake comments?

Icing on the cake, what do you think about Samuel Leach, not to be confused with Samuel Leeds? But I did enjoy this one.
Hi Thomas. Thanks for the thought provoking video. This response is probably TLDR for most/all but I've written it now so am posting anyway. My view is that there is a risk of people throwing the baby out with the bath water here and talking themselves out of pursuing challenging goals which can be greatly assisted by people who have been there and done it already. I'm carefully engaging with a variety of property training from people who I perceive to be providing really valuable content but the interesting thing is, I would say is there is definitely some resonance with some of the features you and others declare to be fake guru territory. For example, free webinars, smaller courses and larger more expensive courses, all at a discount. I sincerely believe the trainers I've very carefully selected over time are credible and legit and I've probably spent close to £1k on training so far. I anticipate spending between £2k and maybe up to £10k over a period of year or two and expect that to include course material and strategic mentoring. The amount I've learned and the pitfalls I've already avoided with that first £1k is significant. If someone has spent the time and money to produce a wealth of carefully constructed training resources, I'm happy to pay for that and so far I'm not disappointed. Even with the pantomime villains of the property training industry, I think they have some really useful or maybe just interesting things to say on their respective YouTube channels. I just wouldn't go near their paid content. The analogy to language training doesn't stack up in my opinion. There is no over-arching strategy within language in the same way there is with property investment. Sure, I can probably learn specifics about individual aspects of property for free from all over the internet. The value for me is in having all that information being brought together to create a coherent comprehensive analysis of what various approaches might be suitable when and how I can exploit those options. Regardless of what happens, I'm safe in the knowledge that even if I stopped right now and didn't do anything further in property, I'd still be happy with what I'd be taking away from my £1k investment. With any luck though, I'll be looking back at this post in 5 years time and be in a significantly stronger financial position. But then again, maybe not.

Icing on the cake
Good video keep it up! I have watched until the end 😉
Great video Thomas, you're definitely not a fake guru, you're the real thing. Bizarrely, there were fake guru videos on the ad straight after your video
Loving your channel. Great topic Tom
Great video Tom. It is particularly useful in these uncertain times when everyone is a bit vulnerable and looking for other ways to make more money. One thing I have learnt is everyone shows the results but will not show you how much they struggled to get there. If it sounds too good to be true it probably is. Icing on the cake
