In this video I talk about the big difference between being frugal and being cheap.
Many people will use the two words interchangeably when they talk about saving money and generally avoiding spending it. The truth is - being frugal and being cheap are two very different things.
Being cheap is all about avoiding spending money. Being frugal means pursuing the best value whenever you do spend money which means that sometimes you may spend more if the more expensive option provides better value.
Apologies for how long this one turned out to be - I just kept talking and cut it down as much as I could. Hope you guys enjoy it!

Great advice and such a restrained Sasha compared to 2023 👍😀
I'm good with budgeting I start with nothing on payday and manage to budget also nothing
Great channel, awesome content!!!
We all know how much Sasha loves coffee ☕️ 👍but does Sasha like alcohol 🍺 beer 🍺 wine 🍷 or spirits ? He doesn’t talk about those much?
I love Sasha’s humble lifestyle 👍🙌👏❤️☑️🙏🏽☝️💣
Epic breakdown and video 👍🙌🙏🏽👏❤️ Thank you Sasha! Your the bomb 💣
Drive an 18 yr old truck but in good weather walk barefoot to McDonalds where I hide a pair of plastic slippers (hidden in the hedge) that I wear in the restaurant while visiting with the "Old Farts". Am the only guy that doesn't order breakfast but cook my own prior to leaving home. Sip hot coffee from a thermos mug but am the biggest tipper to the hospitality servers.
This channel is pure gold, thanks Sasha!
You had me in the first 30 seconds 😂😂
The tech advice is solid, once you build a decent mid-tier PC you dont need to upgrade anything for around 3 years, and assuming that the CPU is anywhere of the past 2 generations – you will only have to upgrade the GPU and maybe ram, cutting cost right down.
Most people will not need a cpu with more than 4 cores, 4 threads, 16Gb of ram, 1050ti anything more is frivolous.
You can either reinvest the price into the GPU or reinvest into other projects.
Sasha, you scared me in your introduction. If you had a shower once a week, I was already changing my mind about meeting you face to face.
I press 👍for all your videos despite the background music.
Got a 14 year old Volkswagen. Have had it for quite a few years now and all it’s needed is new brake pads so far. That car has really done me favours haha.
Personally with the car point I don’t think you should base your decision purely on how old the car is and how many miles it has done. Looking at the reliability of the car is also really helpful.
Amazing video btw!
Sasha, another great video. I live my life according to the K.I.S.S. principle of life ( keep it simple stupid). I am in a lucky position of having very low overheads, not from forward planing, just luck. Most of my clothes come from charity shops, quality clothes at less than primark prices. I have taken your advice about credit cards, and started rebuilding my credit score. I had stopped using credit cards over 35 years ago, and relied only on cash in my pocket. I have decided to give credit another go, but not paying interest on my venture. Lets see what happens. Thanks George.
I would really love more of these videos on budgeting, saving and being more frugal. Thank you so much 😊
I have just replaced my old iPhone 5
I used for more than 6 years
And I bought a used iPhone 7 !!!
My friends calls me cheap for being frugal and good with managing my money. I am not cheap! Thank you for explaining I am sending them this video right now.
Great tips thanks for sharing!
Still churning out great videos!
I think some people mindlessly shop because they have no goals
Noticed the new camera from the first second btw, looks way better. I like the wide lens. 🙂
This video I'll watch on Sunday morning instead of going to church. 😀
Another fun and informative video. Keep them coming. Looking forward to the upcoming content about challenger banks.
We want the old cheap camera back! Smash that like button if you agree. Don't agree? Then smash that like button.
A few tips: underwear needs to be able to cover your ass/balls, it doesn't need to cost £50 a piece.
Cheap stuff will be flimsy and not able to hold things together. Said that, price/quality wise, find something that sits between primark (which sold good stuff 12 years ago and garbage nowadays) and CK.
Need a new laptop? With £350 you can buy an absolute piece of garbage at Curry's or a magnificent 2nd hand 7th gen business class lenovo thinkpad with FHD screen on ebay.
But the most important suggestions in my opinion are:
Don't buy shit you don't need.
Don't buy shit you cannot afford.
This includes holidays with financing and an APR of 7500%.
Ebenezer old boy, is that you? 😂🤣
Lookin forward to that Challenger bank video. My dad was in the market for one for his businesses recently👍
Thanks for the great videos! 😄👍🏻
Apologies for how dark it came out – first go with an actual camera. Will do better next time!
