Elon Musk has been wanting to build a home HVAC system for quite a while now, as he even went as far as the state that he is dying to make one for the typical automaker like Ford or GM. This would be a ridiculous move, but for Tesla it's something that they have been developing for quite a while, for those of you not too knowledgeable of our age. Facts HVAC stands for heating, ventilating and air conditioning in this video. I'm going to discuss why I believe Tesla has a lot of potential to disrupt the HVAC sector and why the product will make billions.

Before I begin, I've noticed that 94 % of you aren't subscribed yet so please take a moment and hit the subscribe button. If you haven't already, many people are becoming more aware of the air quality inside their homes. The current market share for air purifiers is eight billion dollars and is growing at an annual rate above ten percent. There are more and more studies being released on how air pollution leads to a vast amount of sicknesses.

If there's anything that people should be frugal on. Recent studies are showing that certainly isn't home aged facts. Tesla is known for taking advantage of growing markets which makes the HVAC sector extremely appealing for Tesla. Many investors assume that Tesla is a car manufacturer which simply isn't true to a lot of people.

Apple is considered as a phone company, but the company sells plenty of other products like air, paws, keyboards, Mouse's and many more. These are all interconnected with the Apple ecosystem, similar to how Tesla is looking to develop its own ecosystem in order to sell well and each fact must have four key criteria. It must be energy-efficient, quiet, effective at filtering particulate matter and compete with pricing. Tesla's new HVAC will not only succeed at these four key criteria, but go above and beyond.

Tesla has a wide range of products in its ecosystem, including Tesla vehicles, solar panels and power walls. The addition of the HVAC in this ecosystem will be utilized in a way where the products efficiency will be at its maximum extent. Elon Musk has suggested that the HVAC system could work with Tesla vehicles to save energy, as you can set the house at the perfect temperature and humidity right when your vehicle arrives home. The Tesla eco system is currently managed with the Tesla app and with the HVAC.

This won't be any different, let's say nobody is after home and won't be for quite a while. All you have to do is turn the HVAC on or off with a simple switch in the Tesla app. This may seem like a simple idea, but the amount of energy that would be saved is seriously monumental age. Facts currently use 48 % of the energy in the average household, so cutting down on this energy would have a large effects on your living expenses.

Tesla's HVAC will, without adult, be quiet, as their in-car HVAC makes little to no sound already Tesla's Model S and X Kurumi have a feature named a bio weapon, defense mode. This name may be over exaggerated, but studies have shown that the filtration system is seriously top-of-the-line. This is a graph displaying the effectiveness of the bio weapon defense mode in the Model X outside of the Model X. The PM 2.5 concentration is nearing the 1000 level even being at the center of the largest wildfires, who doesn't even have a PM 2.5 concentration that high, as you can see, on the right hand, side.
There isn't even a name for how high that PM, 2.5 concentration was outside the Model X, and hopefully there won't ever be just two minutes. After the doors in the Model X were closed. The air quality had already reached a level of good quality. If there's ever a significant amount of pollution nearby, the bio weapon, defense mode will make it look like there's nothing.

However, most of us don't spend much time in our vehicles. Rather, we spend the majority of our time at home. Even if the filtering was half of the level of the Model X of the amount of benefits that would come with clean air would be unimaginable in a hypothetical situation, let's say: there's a virus spreading around the globe. That YouTube will continue the sensor.

There certainly won't be any viruses spreading around the air, especially with the level of filtering Tesla can provide. We designed the car well before recent events, so it just happens just happens to have a you know. There's recent events have Illustrated the importance of air safety, and we have, with the Model X the first, the first true HEPA filter in a car so, and why why it is important to have a particulate filter? Why is important to have a gas filter in the car? It's because the the this translates to a real real change in life expectancy. So these these are the most conservative numbers we could find on the internet like be most conservative.

They go way worse than this. This is basically the least bad thing that would happen if you lived in these cities so and now, let's take a look at the filters themselves, you can. I want to show you just how much of a difference this is that the top the top one is. Our primary air filter, the the one on the left in the bottom is our secondary air filter.

The one on the right is a normal car air filter. I think we've got some of those here, so this is. This is what a normal car filter looks like. It's really really quite small.

This is the this is the primary air filter of the Model X, and this is the second. This is the secondary air filter. A secondary air filter is bigger than the primary air filter of a typical car. So the and not only is it ten times larger area, but the the quality of the Fulcher is greater.

So that translates to several hundred fold improvements in the filtration capability. It is three hundred times better at filtering bacteria, five times better at allergens, seven hundred times better at pseudo smog and eight hundred times better at filtering viruses, and - and this is on a bad day. So this is the minimum passing grade winners just operating at its worst and yeah, so that, in addition to to the the particle filters, we have three layers of active carbon. So we've got one universal adsorbent layer, that's the initial layer! Then we've got another activated: carbon layer, that's meant for acid gases and another one for alkaline gases.
The the net effect of the air filtration system is that you have air cleanliness levels which are comparable to a hospital operating room in the car and and in fact, when the car is operating when the car is operating edits at maximum capability. So if you sort of press max max capability in the car, we can't even detect any viruses or bacteria or spores, so it's like zero come through. So if there's ever, if, if there's ever sort of an apocalyptic scenario of some kind hypothetically, you just press the bioweapon defense mode button, this is a real button. One Twitter user went out and stated that so many people with allergies has suffered chronically.

You had changed their lives truly. This really got me thinking about pet allergies. Many pet owners suffer from chronic allergies, both the better filtration system. The impact this would have would be monumental.

This is a way bigger deal than most people realize, with the amount of power or Tesla home HVAC has. The HVAC certainly will not be cheap. However, Tesla will be able to compete with pricing over the long run by being the most energy-efficient sure. The initial payment may be costly, but similar to solar panels and electric vehicles.

The clients will pay off over time. Tesla's HVAC will sell well because of the fact that it succeeds at these four criteria. But as we all know, Tesla is a company that goes above and beyond, and this is where water condensation comes into play. Elon Musk has stated that the Tesla HVAC code may be tapped.

A condensation for water to seems odd, that HVAC systems make P R fresh water and just dump it on the ground. Many of you may think this is a ridiculous idea. Why would we want to drink water as contaminated as an H Fox on a humid day? In age, fat can get up to two gallons of water accumulating from the process of dehumidifier. The reason why the water from H facts are unsafe to drink is because it may contain a bacteria named Legionella.

However, this water can be purified by doing processes like boiling the water by boiling water. You can kill bacteria and other organisms in a matter of minutes. In hindsight, Musk's idea of drinking water from aged facts may seem like a rather ridiculous feature. Because of this, I wouldn't be surprised if yuan and Tesla's engineers are able to find a way to make this work overall, Tesla's off coming home HVAC will be far superior to others, because it will be energy-efficient, quiet, effective and compete with pricing over the long run.

A Brilliant idea by Elon, a natural extension to his companies. Who else would do what he does?

  2. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Michael Schneider says:

One of the ideas that Nicholas Tesla had and was trying to develope and would have revolutionised life worldwide was his Universal Electrical Transmitter ! Where electrical power could be received by a service much like a television antenna ๐Ÿ“ถ !

  3. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Guy Michaud says:

Elon shouldn't have to pay taxes; he should be receiving from the treasury. What he can do with a dollar eclipses anything the governments have ever dreamt of doing.

  4. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars M-Cycle Promotion Worldwide says:

Today, no existing technology, except the Maisotsenko Cycle (M-Cycle), can provide such features desired for Tesla HVAC as energy efficiency, silence, zero environment impact, low cost, healthy air for air cooling and heating, heat recuperation, air humidification-dehumidification – all in a revolutionary concept of the evaporative cooling, approaching air temperature less than the dew point temperature.

The M-Cycle makes the indirect evaporative air cooling technology a cost-effective, energy efficient, and environmentally friendly alternative to mechanical refrigerant cooling & heating equipment.

Gen3 M-Cycle: Better performance (price, energy, emission) for less

From Nikola Tesla (energy from air) to Tesla smart home HVAC system (disruptive and efficient).

Lol…being able to turn it on with an app ? That has been around for along time. I can turn my system on and off from my phone manually or by geo fencing. Look up Honeywell. Nothing new. Everyone is so excited in here with no specs…

  8. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars FrostBlueFire says:

I'm curious to see what Elon will do. There's already a wide variety of energy efficient units. Rheem/Ruud, Trane/American Standard, Carrier/ICP, Lennox/LuxAire… Honestly it'll be a battle. These units are not often installed due to their high prices, and also due to the expensive repairs that come with them. I hope he makes these units serviceable and built tough. The one issue plaguing the field are shitty manufacturers like York, Rheem and Goodman who have lowballed high-tier competitors to start making cheaper products just to stay in business. Let's see.

There's a Problem !! Money !! Technology is great but if only %15 of the population can afford these technologies are they going to change anything in the real world ? Look at the Model S ? $150 K + Taxes up here in Canada !! Really ??

I'm a bigger fan now than ever. It amazing I myself wondered 15 years+ ago… if that residual water was consumable and even if t wasn't why waste it ? Like water the garden the dog the cat the horse etc. birds pond fish etc. GO ELON !!!! I need the AC/Hepa/Antivirus AC unit now though… allergies…

I do worry that if I put this into my house, it will smell like sticky feet. It if is like my brand new Tesla Model 3, which is only two months old, with less than 1500 miles on it, and the AC has a strong funk. Will cost me $150 to $200 outta my pocket to get it fixed on a BRAND NEW 2020 car.

the day isn't far when Tesla unveils its home IOT lineup complete from solar tiles to energy efficient lighting and cooling, power backup using powerwall and complete connectivity where-ever on earth you are using starlink internet. and a car that can take you wherever you are (level 5 autonomy)

Is telsa really this great? I feel like im being brainwashed. Lol. Like I want to know the down side. Because I keep investing more and more but just want to put alot in at once every time I put in more I kinda get upset when it keeps rising lol! I watch the short sell videos, I feel like they are just negative vibes, the same vibes i get from watching democrats and blm stuff. I dunno. Just hope this is not just 1 huge pump and dump cult. I really want to put everything I have into Telsa because I see them taking over the world when it comes to every thing. Soon they will have straight up entire Telsa home builds. You aint cool on your block unless you gotta Telsa home!! Haha.

Look back 70 years, and you have to admit London is a real success story in air quality. Obviously, still a long way to go, but the center of PM 2.5 has shifted way toward Beijing. They will follow in the footsteps of London, but much faster.

Awesome channel, the first that I've subscribed to. I would love solar roof tiles and a HVAC system that meet the needs of fridge, a/c, hot water heater and clothes dryer; he would change the entire scheme of things. Elon we're waiting.

Please Elon, make a better air conditioner than decades of other companiesโ€™ innovation could muster, lol

  26. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Steven Mitchell says:

If he can produce a better, more efficient product, with a long operational life, at a price SIGNIFICANTLY LOWER than the competition, he'll make a serious dent in the market and make money. I would be in the market for a system like that if it had a 50+ year operational life expectancy.

  27. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars dogbots159 says:

I donโ€™t get the point. Unless they are creating a less expensive heat pump solution for home, the only thing described here is what ecobee already does and does affordable. Their filters cost me $22 for highest end hepa filtering that removes smoke, pet dander, etc. Without real info, this is just existing products from another source. Itโ€™s useless.

Canโ€™t wait for my CyberTruck tho haha – wish that was getting bio defense mode.

  28. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Chris Trayes says:

All this tech is available from existing AC manufacturers just because you put a large high efficiency filter on a supply air system doesn't make you a disruptor of technology. Anyone can do this just depends how much you want to pay

  29. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars ADAM WAITE says:

This video is pure projection and doesn't give any actual information about a Tesla home HVAC. Thumbs down, a waste of time.

  30. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars solarstacks says:

How efficient will they be? I have a Lennox 16.5 SEER, Many new Lennox and Trane systems are 24 SEER. I have checked on a few close to 30 SEER. Tesla will have to be very good to beat or meet them.

  31. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Bretware 7 says:

Oh really Tesla is going to bring geofencing to home air conditioning….. Story is a joke, it would take a long time to catch up to other companies invert technology. Why anybody would want to tie a car to a home AC system is beyond me, the whole story is a bunch of nonsense.

  32. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars ASMR People says:

Boy where to start. Nobody is getting infected by viruses via air pulled in from the outside. There is a reason they say social distance with no filter as long as I'm 2 meters from you the virus will hit the ground. Also efficiency how? The AC turns on when my teslas close. What a breakthrough, just like the best did ten years ago. Enough sarcasm I would expect a Tesla AC unit to be very efficient, but it has to be new technology, They ,literally have to turn the idea of compressor, condenser and gas on its head.
