Over the long term, we've seen how class law has been transitioning to more affordable vehicles. The company went from selling a luxury sports car, the Tesla Roadster, to selling the Tesla Model 3, which at the cheapest version, goes for $ 35,000. However, the Model 3 by no means is the cheap vehicle for the majority of the people in the world. The vehicle still remains at an incredibly expensive price.

Tesla's mission statement is to accelerate the road to sustainable energies and without the majority of the population purchasing electric vehicles, the company won't be able to accelerate the transition at a rapid pace. Yon mosque was soon unveil a cheap compact vehicle that will start its production in China in this video, I'm going to discuss why I believe Tesla will reveal a twenty thousand dollar compact vehicle and show you the evidence that backs this up before I begin. I've noticed that almost 95 % of you aren't subscribed. So please take a moment and hit that subscribe button.

It really helps out with the channel with that being said, let's get right into it. In early 2020, Elon Musk unveiled his plan to create a Tesla Chinese design center, where people would submit their designs for Tesla's new vehicle. In this presentation, Elon Musk made it clear that a new vehicle was coming, but we weren't, given a timeframe as to when this vehicle would be unveiled, I think, would be too and ever so we're gon na do it. I mean to create a China, design and Engineering Center to actually design like an original car in China for worldwide consumption.

I think this will be very exciting. I think the trying to have some of the best art in the world, something that would be appreciated on a worldwide basis, and I think it should be done. You know try something just like kind of radical. You know like cider truck.

You know nobody was expecting that and that's it. So you know that really moves their heart. Guess you're right there, that's the kind of art that you want. We wish there were more of those things Tesla's recent battery innovations have been revealing that the company may actually be closer to this new vehicle than we think in a recent report by Reuters Tesla unveiled a new battery that would last 1 million miles while costing just $ 80 per kilowatt hour to put this into perspective.

Tesla's current batteries cost one hundred twenty seven dollars per kilowatt hour. So having that cost decrease to $ 80 per kilowatt hour would truly be a monumental change. Another key factor revealed in this Reuters report was that Tesla was looking to reuse these batteries in its solar panels, power walls and power packs effectively giving the batteries a second life in the past, Tesla has always indicated that they were against giving batteries a second life. However, it seems like the company is making an exception for its new Chinese battery, which is hinting at the fact that Tesla is attempting to make its new battery the cheapest it can be now if Tesla wants to sell a vehicle at a low price, it would First, have to meet the demand for its higher priced vehicles, including the Model 3 and model why this would make sense from a business perspective as a company would not sell a vehicle with the lower profit margin if it can sell vehicles with higher profit margins.
Like the Model S 3 X & Y recent drone, shots have been reviewing that Tesla's Shanghai gigafactory is expanding at an extremely fast pace, as it is in the process of tripling, if not quadrupling, to support the demand for the Model 3. And why once the production capacity of Tesla's Shanghai gigafactory is able to meet the demand for the Model 3 and why it only makes sense to release a cheaper vehicle. Also keep in mind that the pickup truck market in China is very tiny. So it wouldn't make sense to mass-produce the cyber truck in China.

Tesla's self-driving technology is improving at a very quick rate and Elon Musk has previously made it very clear that he would like to roll out a tesla ride-sharing app the entire vehicle battery pack inclusive well. Well, it is designed to operate for a million miles with minimal maintenance maintenance, so we'll actually be adjusting tire design and really optimizing the car for a hyper, efficient, Robo taxi and at some point you won't need steering, wheels or pedals and will still eat those. So as as, as these things become less less important, we'll just leave parts just then what they won't be there. If you say like probably two years from now, we make a call that has no steering wheels and pedals, and if we need to accelerate that time, we can always just delete parts, easy and probably say long-term three years rubber taxis with with eliminated parts.

It may be, it ends up being $ 25,000 or less. This is these these days, this is the cost of running a gasoline car, the average cost of running a car in the US. This adds up to two trillion a year. These literally just taken from the triple-a website cost of ride-sharing is according to her left, is to $ 3 a mile, the cost to run a Rover taxi, we think less than 18 cents, a mile and and dropping.

I think this is cut. This is this would be current. This current cost future costs will be lower. If you say what would be the probable gross profit from a single Robo taxi, we think probably something on the order of $ 30,000 per year, and this assumes that 50 % of the miles driven are art, there's nothing or not useful.

So this is only at 50 % utility from our standpoint, if you fast for a year, just look - maybe a year, maybe a year in three months, but next year for sure we will have over a million Robo taxis on the road. The fleet wakes up with an over-the-air update what often differentiates uber and lyft is the time it takes for the driver to drive to the customers location in order for Tesla to minimize his time. He needs to have more rowboat oxys on the road. A cheap vehicle would accelerate the need for Robo taxis by seeing the astronomical amount alone, Moscow's also estimated that Robo taxi will make around $ 30,000 per year.
If Tesla was able to sell a vehicle with the full self-driving option for around $ 35,000, then that vehicle would quickly pay itself off and would consequently result in unprecedented demand. Eelain's goal of a Robo taxi ride sharing network would need a cheap vehicle in order for it to be sustainable. Now it seems likely that Tesla will unveil a new, affordable vehicle. But what can we expect? Tesla's new vehicle must have three key criteria.

It must have a long-range charge fast and have a high profit margin. First, a start with long range in order to compete with Tesla, Volkswagen is releasing a vehicle named the id3 which, at the base version, has a 45 kilowatt hour battery pack. That is able to give the vehicle a range of 205 miles. You might be wondering how does a battery pack this small give the vehicle such a high range? This is primarily because the vehicle is both aerodynamic and lightweight.

A compact vehicle would make the most sense for Tesla because of the fact that it allows the company to give the vehicle a higher range. With a smaller battery. The smaller a battery pack is the faster. It would take the charge that battery pack, for example, the iPhone 5, takes a lot less time to charge than a brand new iPhone X.

In theory, this makes perfect sense, since Tesla will be able to achieve a higher range with a smaller battery pack. This would mean Tesla's vehicles would charge a lot faster if it was a compact vehicle. Now we know that compact vehicles don't need as large of a battery pack. This would consequently mean higher profit margins overall from a business perspective, a compact vehicle would make the most sense and Elon Musk's release of Tesla's prototype vehicle shows that he knows this along with these three key criteria.

A compact vehicle also logically makes sense, given the tight environment in China driven by its high population. This is the reason why pickup trucks aren't very popular in China. There simply isn't much space to fit a vehicle as large as a pickup truck. the model 3 hasn't really ever been available for 35K and now it is about 50K. I don't really care about what a car they make costs in China unless the same car will be exported to the USA and sell with a real price tag under 25K usd

  4. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Chris D Costello says:

The car would have to look like nothing we have now. More like a kidney bean. No steering wheel or gas pedals means the car shape and completely changed.

Only way to have the majority of the population drive electric cars is to make them very cheap! And $20k is WAY too much. It would have to land at least at $150k or below. There is no way a majority will buy a car for a cost more than that. Furthermore, here in Sweden we have something that you might get if Joe Blinden gets elected…. taxes! A tesla here costs more than $55 000 dollars for the stripped version and our median salary in the country is at $2500/month. Its easy math! Even if you think "well $20k for a new car is nothing" doesn't mean the majority have that! 😉

That said for the majority! Now $20k is still a good price for a new car. 😉

I do hope they put out an affordable car, because I want a Tesla I’m not going to pay what they cost right noe

I don't want to jinx it, but does anyone really believe Tesla would do a reveal for a cheap compact car and announce "it's….$18000!!" If they are going to do it, it will definitely be a figure that makes you think "fuck off, they can't do that!" – my guess would be $12000, 15K tops.

WHY do we still need to make cars that hold 4-5-6 people when we are still driving to work by ourselves?
Why not make an INLINE car that holds 1-2, 1+, and makes express lanes half as wide as car lanes are now?

Make it here in the USA! American parts, put together by hard working Americans. No more from China! We had our full of China imports. We have to become more independent and less reliant on imports.
So called "robo cars" have many hurdles to overcome. One being insurance. In an accident who will be held liable? Will people feel safe in these cars? Can they be hacked?

Too bad we have billions of gas cars. Wher are they going , to the landfill? Wait in late 80s 'who killed electric car?'- those cars were never used, then crushed, perhaps then landfill. Why are humans so destructive? We have people in spac + many people spaced out, then people with 100s of properties & many homeless.. it's hard to get excited when people globlly have no: clean air or water, food, or shelter. I no longer have faith or trust in our rich geniuses. It all seems pathetic

  22. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars InfoRanker says:

I doubt Tesla will be able to produce these suckers in mass quantity while retaining quality (something they struggle with on their more expensive cars). If they do build an affordable car I hope it actually looks good (thinking model 3, y and not the ugly truck design).

  23. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Din Bee says:

  24. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars designer says:

Tesla lack the hardware for full self driving according to analysis article on cnbc, their cameras allow their cars to run into big things during the day for the lack of use of lidar, so what do you think will happen with small things in the road or at night with all the shadows on road. Their cameras have the very long road to get to full self driving, at least 10-20 yrs away for the whole self driving industry.

Elon is the good salesman, and videos like this gives false timeline hope for self driving vehicles to the market, instead they should state the facts from many analysis and not just what Elon says. Self driving vehicles is the hardest thing mankind has ever tried to do, another article on cnbc, cause the vehicle needs to be right 100% of time or people could get killed.

  25. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars RSProduxx says:

VW is massively investing and has a new subdivision solely dedicated to electric vehicles…
so to make your story short: Tesla will have to counter that.

  26. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Josh says:

This will obliterate uber, lyft grubhub, doordash, postmates right? Or will tesla try to partner up with one of them? Also, what if its being used for cargo transport only? Wont that attract car thieves? They know that no one is inside the car so they can get a hammer, bust inside, and get out. Im pretty sure a hidden camera wont do much

  27. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Cheap Shot says:

  28. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Michael Heider says:

  29. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Jesse Powell says:

CHINA? Is he going to have the car built in one of thier concentration camps? Is that how he is gonna lower the cost? I'm definitely not gonna buy a Tesla now.

At some point tesla will fire all the US workers and import as many cars as they can from china. It way nice to be able to say "MADE IN THE USA"…not anymore….

If the car is manufactured or designed in China it will be like Huawei. Have built in spy technology. That is why I will not buy one.

  34. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars rokko says:

I think you are confusing China with Korea and Japan. China has plenty of space to accommodate large vehicles. In fact, SUV's are exceedingly popular there. Even in Korea full sedans are probably the most common car. Japan and Europe are the counties that enjoy small vehicles the most due to tight space on roads, in cities, etc.
