With many automakers trying their best to catch up to Tesla in the electric vehicle race, Tesla is starting to obtain some upcoming competition. In this video, I investigate all the upcoming electric vehicles that will supposedly compete against the Model Y, Cybertruck, and Model 3 and run a comparison test to see if it will outcompete any of these Tesla vehicles.
Tesla's Upcoming Competition Part 1: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=77BkoPBC1ho

The media has constantly hammered tufsa on upcoming competition from big automakers, how they're gon na destroy Tesla's cars and take over the world, but after the media got bullish on Tesla, they really stopped talking about this competition, and now this is something with the research ourselves. Let's start with the upcoming competitors, the tussle cyber truck, the pickup truck market is humongous and there are many automakers trying to take a stop in this industry. One of these competitors is General Motors leasing. The GMC Hummer expected to be available by fall 2021.

They actually had a Superbowl ad featuring LeBron James, so let's take a look at basically the specs to this car released and the ad, and whether this will be a strong competitor to the cyber truck, which is also expected to be released by 2021. I've been a fan of GMC for quite a while now and the opportunity presented itself. It was very organic. It's rare that you have a vehicle.

That's this big! It's this powerful, be this quiet! You can get from 0 to 60 and threes and that's that's extreme. That's nuts zero limits, zero compromises, anytime. I have any type of partnership, it's always pretty simple, anything, that's organic and then it's something that I have a good deal of respect for GMC, Hummer Evi, so the specs in this cars actually quite great with the zero to sixty of three seconds. That puts it as around the same as a best ira truck that tri-motor AWD, which has an expected 0-60 of 2.9 seconds.

The problem is we're not giving the range of his car or the price. Some websites are guessing a range of 300 miles and a price of $ 70,000. If the estimate of a 300-mile range is true, this really isn't that good compared to the tri-motor AWD cyber truck, which is expected to have a range of 500 plus miles, but for GM I do have to say this is pretty great progress and that's a pretty Good 0 to 60, but definitely not good enough to beat the cyber truck with. That being said, let's move on to the next car, and this is none other than the Nicola badger, which I actually has a range of 600 miles.

But there is a huge knock back to this car 300 miles of that range is electric, but the other 300 is hydrogen powered, and this hydrogen storage is very hard to fill up unless you're living in California. It's pretty hard to charge up your hydrogen powered car. There just aren't enough hydrogen charters, but Nicholas is expected to place more of these hydrogen charges around the United States, but looking at the other numbers, they do actually look pretty promising. Though 0-60 is acclaimed 2.9 seconds and a towing capacity of 8,000 pounds peak horsepower of 906, don't know how much this pickup truck costs.

Therefore, we just don't know what to compare it with. For all. We know the tri-motor AWD cyber truck could be a lot cheaper than this Nikola badger. I also talked about the Arabian voluntee in the part 1 of this video.

So if you want to check that out I'll have the link in the description below, but basically a summer that Vivian Arlen tea, the specs are pretty great, but we don't know the price levels for each different model of the ravine on T. So again, we're running through the same issue or yes, we do know that the ravine all and T's based model will cost 69 thousand dollars, but as far as the higher, which have acclaimed 400-plus range for the long performance one, you just don't know the price of These and these automakers just aren't telling us what the price is so now that we've gone over, basically all the upcoming competitors to touch a cyber truck. Let's talk about the model y, which should be least in the closer span of time than the cyber truck. The first car on this list is Alexis UX 300 across over.
What's funny about this car is that the automaker initially said that it would be able to drive 250 miles and a single charge, but after being retested by the W LTP the new standards. After you say that the range will be 186 miles, so that's seriously huge cut for Lexus right there, but stuffing artists. Surprise when you consider that the battery is a 54.3 kilowatt hour battery. The car is also expected to have a 201 horsepower and a maximum torque output of 221 pounds, along with that, it's Co, 260 currently sits at 7.5 seconds and its top speed sits at 100 miles an hour.

The Lexus UX 300 is not expected to be released in the US yet, but it is gon na retail for 40,000 euros in the UK in Germany and around 50,000 euros in the Netherlands. So the range really isn't that great for such an expensive car. But it is, Lexus is first evie, so it's not a surprise that we're not seeing competitor of Tesla yeah. The next harness list is the BMW x3.

The motor of the car will deliver 286 horsepower and 295 pound-feet of instant torque, and the battery pack will provide 273 miles of range. That range of 270 miles is likely hugely optimistic. As in the W LTP testing cycle, they were just putting our numbers much higher than the actual range, and the EPA should give it a range around 250 miles. This is what all the websites are expecting, and this was definitely a huge fault by the wot P.

Giving out these huge overestimated numbers for ranges, the EPA bathtub number is usually the more reliable range, so we're gon na have to wait and see when the EPA test is BMW x3, but just know that it's likely going to be lower than that WL TP range. What's special about this car is that this would be BMWs first car that we made in China delivered to the US and sold in the US. This could be on cheaper transportation costs and also maybe an anticipation to the us-china trade war getting better in the future. Similar to all the other automakers in this list, BMW didn't tell us about the price of the I x3 will be, but because most electric vehicles, they have conventional counterparts - the iuck streets, estimated to be around 50,000 to 60,000 dollars, as the x3 is priced at 41 Thousand dollars, the 0-60 of this car is currently at 4.8 seconds and with the specs of the bmw x3 has right now.
I don't think this would be the model I for a few major reasons. If we simply take a look at the specs, the model wide. Just has better specs: the model is zero to 60 is at 3.5 seconds versus the BMW IX 3 at 4.8 seconds. Its range is 315 miles, which is much higher than the BMW IX 3.

But a big point that I haven't made in this video is that Tesla has all these other advantages to their cars. We're talking about the massive super charging network, self-driving sentry mode, even Netflix, all these kind of things that aren't in the pure numbers they aren't in the specs, and if we add that, on top of the fact that model wide just has better specs, I just don't See the BMW x3 beating them out of why and they the car with the best chance of going get some model. Why is a Ford Mustang Mach II? Another car I talked about in the first search in this video. The first edition AWD Ford, Mustang Mach II, has a 300 mile range, which is actually not bad for the higher version in a 3 second 0 to 60.

This is actually better than the model y with a 3.5 second 0 to 60. This first edition Mustang Mach II retails for fifty nine thousand nine hundred dollars, in the reason why I think this may be pretty good initially is because of the 7500 federal tax credit which many of you guys know. Tesla already used up all these 7500 federal tax credits, but Ford still has them and, as a result, there is actually quite a lot of demand for the first edition AWD, with all the reservations already full. And if you noticed the information I gave you was actually false.

This is basically Ford's type of marketing. If you go on the website, it actually says the Ford Mustang Mach II has a 300 mile range, 3. Second 0-60. So why am I saying this information false? And that's because if you look closer, this information is actually not true.

The specs they show on the cover of the website are the best specs. When we're talking about every single model, the longest range model, the model with the quickest 0-60. Essentially all these specs combined to make it seem like it's one car that has all these great specs, and I do Dement that, although this is somewhat false, it does work. Pretty well as a marketing tactic.

Now, let's take a look at the actual specs. The first edition is expected to have a 270 mile range in a 5 second 0 to 60. You can see how this is a huge diamond from what the homepage says, and although this is somewhat of a scam, I do have to say this is some great improvement from Ford and it might actually be the first car that gets some decent sales in the Electric vehicle area made by an automaker not called Tassel, and this makes sense why Elon Musk ended up boosting the range of the model Y to 315 miles, basically to make that small boost in order to beat the Mustang Mach II. Initially, it might get a lot of sales because of the $ 7,500 federal tax credit.
However, in the long run I associate the model Y as the better car out of the tooth he's won. It just has slightly better specs and too for doesn't have all the benefits I mentioned earlier. Essentially, remote, autopilot and Ford did I had a fifteen point. Five inch screen on the Ford Mustang Mach II, so we're gon na see how that plays out for the car.

So now, let's move on to the Volkswagen space-vision evey. This car is expected to be released by 2022 and has a range of 350 miles. 0-60, not yet announced top speed of 112 miles in a battery pack capacity of 111 kilowatt hours. These are quite promising specs, but the problem is what is the cost of the vehicle? This is a question for constantly asking for all these upcoming V's.

What is the price of the vehicle so at the given specs? I just don't know what to compare this with both the range of 350 miles. This is definitely going to be a luxury car, so adopting said, let's move on to more of the Model 3 competitors and one of the best competitors to the mall three is the BMW I for the BMW. I four specs are incredibly promising with an 80 kilo watt hour battery, somehow producing a 373 mile range in 530 horsepower. This will utilize BMWs, so-called generation 5 battery packs, significantly smaller than the generation, 3 and generation 4 battery packs currently used in the company's EVs.

The BMW i-4 is expected to have a 0-60 of 4 seconds, which is slower than the 0-60 of the model 3 except. The model. 3 does have a 322 mile range, which is a lot less than BMW. I 4s range of 373 miles exactly the same as the current model asks.

The price isn't announced yet but expected to see this be around $ 50,000. But the thing is the car isn't gon na start getting produced until 2021, so we're gon na have to wait and see if that improves the model 3. But this will definitely be a fantastic car because of its high range of 373 miles and while we're still waiting for the price, if this is truly priced at $ 50,000, this car could be able to steal some TV sales from Tesla. So that's gon na wrap him for this video there's still a lot of other cars.

I want to talk about so, if you want to part through this video, please hit that like button subscribe, so I know you guys want more videos like this also comment down below. If you have any video ideas or tell me what you guys think about this, because I do read every single comment and with that being said, I hope to see you in another video.

Some call it competition (especially Wall Street Analysts), I call it the traditional car makers last cry for relevance in the future of automobility.

  2. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Big Dougโ€™s Commentary says:

You didnโ€™t even mention that all the reviewers and manufacturers that tout there build quality and luxurious interiors, do so cause they canโ€™t compete in technology, performance, and price.

  3. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Big Dougโ€™s Commentary says:

Hey LeBron! When did you ride in this vehicle and experience the 0-60 time? Oh you didnโ€™t. So just pulling the experience out of your ass.

First, fuck hydrogen cars. Second, until the car is released, it isnโ€™t legit. Third, I love how Lebron perfectly describes Tesla. Fourth, great video.

this is exactly what Elon wanted in early 2000s right? it is about be on now, its game time finally.

As great as it is having investors I think rivian wonโ€™t be delivering for awhile now that amazon ordered 100 k mail trucks and ford using battery/motor tech is most likely going to cause delayed delivery times…

  7. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars The Cardfolio says:

Great video! Yeah I think Tesla has a nice stronghold on electric but they will face competition very soon.

  8. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars rufdymond says:

Look Tesla have a massive lead in the field, but only a fool would dismiss companies like Toyota, and VW they will get EVโ€™s right eventually and wonโ€™t take loosing their dominance laying down…..thereโ€™s room enough for everyone.

U need to explain teslas efficiency over other car manufacturers. Meaning more streamlined internals needs a smaller battery bank, leading to lighter weight, the more miles per kw. And the other legacy car manufacturers need to start now to see what improvement they can do to keep up. Even if they claim they will take the same time as tesla (~10yrs and they wont), tesla will still continue to innovate and still be ahead another 10yrs, which the legacy manufacturers will still be trailing in tech. Whats funny is that someone said, tesla may miss on deadlines, but they don't miss on specs.

I'm surprised the Lucid Air was not on this list. It should be a competitor for the model S.

Tesla competition? One word…..NONE! Hey what ever happened to the GM bolt? Thatโ€™s right it doesnโ€™t matter.

Remember when Porsche promised a 300mi Taycan and delivered a 200mi car? Same will happen with BMW

  13. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars shuriken48 says:

The one important point always being missed about the Mustang Mach-E is that a lot of the specs say 'Targeted' meaning they hope to get that, but it is not guaranteed and why would they put that if they were confident.

We are tired of the Tesla Killers, until these killers hit the road and one after the other suddenly they become selling flops. As someone already has pointed out. Until they find another true engineering genius with the spirit of sacrifice able to works his butt off to make sure that his cars are as close to perfection as possible, Tesla will be alone still building the most performing cars on the planet probably for many decennials to come. When we add the other half dozen winning entreprices that Elon Musk is bringing forward, we are looking at a true giant that is changing the entire world transportation system, even able to carry us all the way to the stars.

  15. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars D C says:

My big question is how do they produce the vehicles in volume to make them cheap? They have no inhouse battery manufacturing dedicated just to them. Tesla did that with Panasonic and say they are still not enough.

  16. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Sgt. Crypto says:

Traditional OEMs are so done. When they release their vehicles, Tesla will be improved by so much already. The Model S is already being shipped with 390 miles of range. Imagine how much theyโ€™ll improve after battery investor day. JS

  17. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Ramon Zarat says:

There is no competition. Nothing is coming.

Wake me up when I can actually buy a non Tesla, directly from the web, with over 300 miles of EPA range, full software updates, something better than autopilot, more fast charger than the Supercharger network and for less than $45k.

I'll go back to sleep until at least 2030…

  18. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Rick Shaw says:

Spec's arnt everything. No way the big auto makers are going to let Tesla own the market on electric cars. Tesla spent the money proving the concept, GM and others are going to out mass produce Tesla.

  19. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Vladislav Bashev says:

Yeah right, BMW with 370 miles range… i call this BS. If they get 300 miles it will be a miracle.

  20. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars HockeyDay says:

Itโ€™s not Competition until the epa numbers come out in the making over 100,000 vehicles a year, and they have a great battery life, which is about 5 years to 8 years away

  21. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Albert Rombold says:

There is no competition until all-Big Automakers are producing themselves Batteries in mass. And they are sleeping.

  22. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars tam hewitt-baker says:

Initially that quad turn is really impressive…

until you realise you would need to prepare the ground first to prevent damage to the vehicle.

  23. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Sanjeev Hayer says:

The adverts and the prototypes form the competition look great… letโ€™s see them produce at a competitive price. The issue they have is Musk is an innovator that is willing to radically change process where as their mentalityโ€™s seem old hat.

  24. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Marcus Jordan says:

Ok I hate when video's and newly minted electric car company's post all these wonderful numbers like 400 mile range 0-60 times of 2.8 seconds and don't even have a real prototype or anything close to a production vehicle! I guess they didn't learn anything from Porsche SMh๐Ÿ˜’๐Ÿ˜ค

  25. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Davout says:

By now Tesla has such big of a lead that I think unless Tesla make a huge mistake I can't see any company coming close to Tesla interms of manufacturing, technology or infrastructure at least in the next 10 years.

  26. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars bin sun says:

Every competitor is still living in commercial. I can't wait they keep falling in 2 years if they actually come out.
