While all eyes on solid-state batteries, it's becoming clear that Tesla has been working on improving the existing lithium-ion battery. These innovations are all occurring in Tesla's battery research project, codenamed Roadrunner, which looks the mass-produced Tesla's new battery at a cost below $ 100 per kilowatt hour.
