Can everybody just turn off the heat and put a geansaí on them to keep warm? What happened the days when we put blankets on us to keep us warm? Perhaps this crisis could result in a major cop-on for many of the wasters and environmentallly nonchalent troglodytes in our advanced societies which, as the greatest contributors to environmental destruction, are ineffably backward on environmental issues? You/we don't need an enormous number of things we think we actually "need". Turn it off, consume much less, complain less, get more enlightened priorities, and ultimately live a freer, happier life.

While some companies are getting record profits, are those profits not tied to the fact that they get to produce energy, while other companies are prevented from doing the same, thus not having competition to drive prices down? If that lack of competition is coming from regulation, there isn't a need for more regulation, but for less regulation on access to market
If your on the UK you can just call up and tell the energy firm to fk off and your only paying £200 a month. In time the prices will come down.

I think California just agreed to ban combustible engines too.
The current US administration is not even allowing oil and gas drilling in Texas right now. This is one of the most oil and natural gas rich areas in the world. There is no reason to buy oil and gas from other countries when we have our own but they want to jack up prices by cutting off our supply. So ignorant. They don't care about you or me or anyone.
“Green energy” is less expensive and better than coal… NOT!! Coal breaks even at $23/MW, wind is $60/MW and solar $90/MW. That’s with subsidies. They are also 6-10% efficient. What a joke.
Such a well made video Mark. I’m lucky enough to live in New Zealand (Where most of energy is generated through renewables), but do have family in Europe so do feel sorry for those who will be hurt. However I’m still optimistic for the future.
