Here's my problem with these young YouTube millionaires showing off their dream Lifestyles and flashy CS It makes many people, especially younger guys, feel like Financial failures. Don't get me wrong, I Believe these young entrepreneurs have accomplished remarkable things, but they're not the average. They're not even close. Everyone builds their wealth at a different pace.

It took me 10 years of hard work to become a millionaire. The average salary in the US sits at 56 $ 1,420 and in the UK it's 38,000 But this doesn't paint the full picture. When we talk about the average salary, it's important to remember that it's distorted by extremely high earning individuals as well as people who are probably much older than you and therefore can demand higher pay. So let's dig a bit deeper in the UK.

The average savings for someone under the age of 25 is 2,533 according to Bloomberg The typical firsttime home buyer is 36 years old, and the average net worth of someone between the ages of 18 and 20 is actually below zero as most are in debt. So although there seems to be more 20y olds killing it than ever before, when you actually look at the stats, this couldn't be further from the truth. The world we live in today is quite different from the one I grew up in. I mean the average Tik Tok user Us is on the app for a whooping 95 minutes a day.

With this much scrolling, the temptation to compare ourselves to others is pretty overwhelming. There's two types of comparisons people make, and they're both as harmful as each other. These are known as downward. An upward comparison.

A downward comparison is when you compare yourself to those worse off like some of your mates. This may make you feel better in the short term, but it can make you complacent and lack motivation to better yourself and what happen happens. if they begin to outperform you in the future, you're going to feel even worse. Upwards comparison, on the other hand, is when you measure yourself against those who are better off like those 20y olds racing around in their Lambos jetting off to Dubai like it's a casual weekend getaway and wearing watches that cost more than your entire home I Think the negatives of making these comparisons are obvious.

The thing that baffles me is more often than not, the videos you're watching have been orchestrated and manipulated down to the smallest details according to something called the social status. Theory Even your closest friends May hide certain things from you in order to feel Superior I Bet you've even been thinking of someone whilst watching this video. So ask yourself now, where are their receipts? Have you seen clear evidence to back up their success? No. I'd assume not their entire lifestyle could be based on borrowing a loan.

Remember, people only show what they want you to see. On the other hand, nobody sees the effort that you put in behind the scenes like saving up in an emergency fund retirement Investments paying off credit card debt or even starting a family. And let me tell you, that's one expensive decision. So here's my advice.
Firstly, concentrate on your own earnings and consider how you can maximize them. Here's a tip: sell results not your time. If you produce results that generate your employer extra profit, then paying you more is a no-brainer If they don't then you can just leave and get a higher paid position. Secondly, be smart with your money, but stop obsessing about every penny.

Thirdly, I Know it's something you've probably heard before, but you need to find a mentor. I Know this is hard for lots of people, especially with all the fake Guru scams online. That's why I've decided to Mentor you myself completely free of charge inside my Discord group. I'm going to help you add an extra $22,000 to your income.

You'll also have the chance to win some cool prizes like a trip to Dubai oneon-one mentoring calls and a dinner with me and my team. Spaces are limited so if you want to save your spot then I'll leave a link in the description. Again, this is completely free of charge and just something I want to do to thank you for two million subscribers. Most videos like this will shame you for buying Starbucks every day.

Tell you to stop having fun with your friends and instead save your money. However I strongly believe that you shouldn't feel guilty for doing the things you love because this guilt can lead you to believe you're doing worse than you actually are. And let's face it, you're not going to get rich by stashing away every penny like some sort of squirrel. One of my main rules in life is that I must live each year a little better than the last.

I Like to call this the level up rule. This year, for example, I'm off skiing in France with my family and team. the coach transfer is four whole hours. That's longer than the entire flight from the UK.

So I've made the decision to treat everyone to a helicopter ride up the mountain. If I waited any longer then I'd be too old to enjoy it. So it's important to know when to trade your money for memories. Since leaving school, which was a very, very long time ago, I've created opportunities for countless memories I've learned to fly planes I've competed around the world with my RC models, traveled to my fair share of countries that's for sure, worked on films and raced cars I've managed to do all of this while investing money and growing my businesses.

Although I've spread all these activities out over time, I've still managed to do them all and it's 100% possible for you too. However, it's important to be responsible with this: I'm not telling you to go and buy 20 pairs of Nike Jordans to impress others if you find it hard to do things in moderation, then maybe try following the 50320 budgeting rues. Firstly, set 50% of your money aside for expenses like rent and groceries. This just ensures that you have enough to physically live and pay bills, then set 30% aside for your future financial goals.
I Do this in a form of investing so you could start investing this money into a stocks and shares Isa each month in the UK or a rough IRA in the USA. This way, you'll be able to make Returns on your money over time and even better, it's tax-free After this, set 20% of your money aside for lifestyle and fun. This money could be used for a few pites down the pub with your mates or even a weekend getaway. If you don't earn enough to live by these percentages, then you need a side hustle.

I Got plenty of videos about this on my channel. Look, if you only take one thing from this section is to not be too harsh on yourself for spending a bit of money every now and again. My son made minimum wage between the ages of 18 and 20. All of his friends were earning much more, but he knew he was getting paid with an even more valuable thing than money experience.

After these two years, he quickly overtook his mates and he's now a millionaire and I'm very proud. Have a think about all the things you've been learning in your job or side hustle. Maybe you aren't earning as much as you'd like right now, but you're probably building your unfair Advantage which will allow you to unlock wealth later on. An unfair Advantage is a skill that is unique to you, a skill that puts you in a better position than anyone else to handle certain tasks, jobs, or skills.

It's like a secret superpower that sets you apart from everyone else. Thanks to my dislexia, I had to develop the unfair advantages of quick decision making, problem solving, and practical design skills. The point is, these skills are only developed if you're in a significantly challenging environment, so if the job you're currently in is pushing you to improve, then it's worth far more than the money you're earning. But if the job doesn't pay well and you aren't learning anything, then leave as soon as possible.

Men on average hold down roughly 12 jobs in their lifetime, so don't let University trick you into finding one job and staying there. Look, my point is this: if you're not earning much money right now, it doesn't mean you're not making progress. Think of gaining experience like building an unseen bank balance that you can choose to cash in whenever you're ready. And for those of you that have already currently built your bank balance of experience, it's important to consider what you're going to do with it.

A North star is like an end goal. A goal that's so high in the sky that you question its reach. but you know that with effort and determination you can get there. Studies show that people who don't have a North star are far more likely to compare themselves to others rather than just focusing on their own Journey leading them to feeling further behind financially than they actually are.
My first ever: North Star was becoming a millionaire I didn't know how or when I was going to get there, but eventually I did. and once I achieved this goal I knew I had to find a new North Star one that was harder to reach. So my next challenge became building a family Legacy and this is still something I'm dedicated to and it motivates me every day. In hindsight, this second example is a better Northstar because it's an endless game and I can play it until the day I Don't Once you've decided on your Northstar make sure you write it down somewhere or even put it on your phone.

Wallpaper studies show that this makes you 10 times more likely to reach it. The more effort you put in, the more you progress, the more your life will change and the less you'll be focused on others. So instead of watching them, they'll be watching you. If you want to know how to get ahead of most people, then I'm going to leave that video right up there.

but don't click on it just yet. Make sure to subscribe if you want to grow your wealth. Okay, I'll see you over there.

Hi mark, perhaps you’ve done a video on this but if not, what sorts of jobs or ‘things’ would you suggest someone could do on top of their full time job to make some extra cash?

The problem with me is worse i thingk, because i dont compare. I want what i want and dont care about what others have. Which makes me more then often unrealistic. Maybe i should compare more

I have never had financial issues in my entire life, but not because I'm a millionaire, I just spend my money thoughtfully and save a lot. I like cooking, repairing and buying used stuff.
It might not look like it if you visit my apartment, but I am financially free and quite happy about it

To be honest you make me think what this man is saying?
And then I say: he is a millionaire then for sure he knows money better than me
I like those fancy content creators on YouTube and TikTok. Because they remind me where to NOT spend my money. And why I have to NOT procrastinate. We have a proverb that says "camel can't see the curve of it's own neck" which means people can't see their own flaws. And what I learned from them is to never fulfill my inner monkey's need because it is like smoking. You start small and you end up addicted to high quality. Inner monkey is part of human brain that prefers funny things over benefitial things. For example teens prefer playing free fire over watching this channel.
And for savings. I am saving 100% of my money and 0% goes to my needs or wants yet I need few months max one year to work for my own. So saving only 50% won't work for me.
Leaving my job that pays half a salary for my first year (cuz I am learning) won't work for me too. According to statistics only 1/3 of adults have jobs (housewives are considered unemployed) and 2/3 are considered poor. And the middle class are less than 1/3. And my full salary is the median salary. So I know that business requires taking risks but quitting my job is like gambling with my life. I either live twice or lose the life I already have. And I prefer developing financial security before taking risks. It's like wearing safety equipments before working in dangerous place. So It's not my fault it's my country's fault. Yet when I worked in the factory. No one worked in my role and now I work there and the chief hired an other one to take my place after I go back home (the factory works 24 hours daily). It barely requires efforts but if I don't do it then a machine or two are very likely will stop and all the machines are related to each other so all the factory will stop for a while until they fix the issues. And that's how I ended up getting paid for being in the factory and barely do anything. So I go back home full of energy to read a book or learn a skill
