So a super quick market update if you traded the overall: NASDAQ Market It wasn't probably a very entertaining day because from where the market opened at to where it closed at was nearly Break Even Uh, we did see some selloff and then a quick little recovery. This was a perfect example of waiting for an opportunity to present itself. I Love trading reversals. I'll talk about that in just a little bit, but we talk about this in Lpp where it's the three stages of a reversal, rejection, consolidation, and then confirmation when it begins to recover and goes back to previous highs.
This alone, by waiting for the market to sell off and then indicate signs of recovery would have been the trade for the day. If you like focusing on the NASDAQ Market or Tqqq, the focus that I had today and again it's just been a focus that I've had since Thursday of last week. uh is I shorted meta I made $ 54,2 788 again I trade with over half a million dollar so please make sure that you're aware of that. Um, and I kept my Lpp team up to date from them seeing me trade in the very beginning.
it began to show signs of a support and it validated the support almost until the very end of market close which then it later sold off. but altogether anytime that it touched around 460 it would try to recover. I would reduce position size here, locking in profits. On my short, it would run back up, then I would open short and then cover.
Once again it would run back up, I would open short and then cover. again, and then the biggest one was when it ran up I Made my Lpp team aware and you guys might be like what exactly does that look like? Let me go ahead and show you very quickly. I wanted to pull this up. it's under our trade ideas.
Uh, making them aware of when the NASDAQ Market uh became I'm sorry when Meta became super overbought so you can see that it ran up to highs of 468 almost 469. Um, and again talking about that overall setup. So I talked about at 12:44 P.m. this is Mountain Standard Time Uh.
Opening short, adding 1K to my short. That's when Direction became favorable, right? So it became overbought. The opportunity began to present itself again. when you short something, you make money as it sells off.
and then as it broke below the EMA line, I added that additional 1,000 shares and then as we approached previous lows I Bought to cover relatively pretty early I didn't run ride this thing all the way back down to previous lows I just again, didn't need that trade. I was already exceeding my daily, literally exceeding my weekly goal. This is not an average day for me. I'm not going to pretend like it is.
this is an absolute insane day and I got asked the really good question today. Ricky It's great that you made money on Meta, but Meta realistically, from lows to highs from previous close to uh, today's close um, only dropped 3.2% Why didn't you short coin coin sold off and lost at in total one uh, 10% on the day Ricky Why didn't you short coin I Want to understand I'm not perfect and I I was so focused and I don't know if this happens to guys and this is why again. I I don't mind using myself as an example I Have been paying attention to coin, but my attention began to shift after Meta reported earnings and announced that it was going to you know, um, what's it called? give dividends right? every quarterly earnings which caused the stock to go up, Meta gapped up 25% I viewed it to be very overbought and it was a very interesting short play. My focus then shifted from shorting coin to then shorting Meta and I completely agree that yes, coin would have made more sense I would have made more money shorting coin within the first, what one and a half hours two hours of the market open. but this is why I Talk about focusing on one specific stock and not over complicating it. Um, I'm not bothered. obviously that I decided to short Meta I'm still very extremely grateful I'm very grateful for how today played out, but this is a great reminder that like when you try to manage AG more than one different um opportunity at the same time, it does become challenging, right? Uh, and each stock has its specific Uh criterias that not only need to be met but also risk tolerance. Coin is a very volatile stock and as you could see on a dime, it just quickly began to sell off.
That would have sucked if someone was long in a position expecting for it to go up, but then again quickly change its direction. This is why again, keeping it simple and having one stock that you solely focus on, especially if you are choosing to trade. trading and investing are two very different things. So please make sure that you are aware.
I also wanted to share a handful um, or really just one stock that reported earning today, so Palente here did Gap up after the market hours. That's great for those that were already invested, but McDonald's I wanted to share this one with you MCD which is McDonald's ticker Um, sold off and this sold off during the pre-market session into normal trading hours. And if you look at it, um, it sold off nearly 4% Nothing too crazy, but it looks like it was at a previous resistance of 302 and now pulled back to 385. I Just thought it would be something to talk about because of the potential for recovery for those that see value in it.
but if it continues to sell off, then again, maybe it could be something that we can entertain for a potential short if it actually continues to sell off but wanted to make sure that you all were aware. Also, when it comes down to earnings that are set to be released tomorrow pre-market we have Lily Spotify, Herz, Toyota and BP. But then after the market closes, we have Snapchat and Phze, Ford and Chipotle that are all going to be reporting earnings I have nothing when it comes down to economic reports that are going to be released tomorrow on February 6th. but again, every day presents New Opportunities The biggest thing that I would focus on is kind of like today. Uh, this is the best example that I can give you markets from open to close if you try to take a position right at Market open to right at market close was a very flat day, but if you gave the market the time that it needed to paint its picture for the day and this is the example that I always give right for those that are just getting started. If you would have been patient enough to let the market sell off, you didn't have to short the market, but let the market sell off, identify it, support, and then begin to recover. This trade alone would have been at least in my opinion, a trade worth taking where you don't have to trade right at Market open or right before the market closes, you can wait for the market to paint its picture for the day and allow an opportunity to present itself that is actually worth taking advantage of. And when looking at this I think it's very it's much easier to see why it's so important to stay patient.
and I hope that encourages all of our beginners that instead of making impulsive decisions or feeling the need to take a trade right at Market Open that this really encourages you to maybe take a step back, stay patient, and stay calculated. and maybe trading every single day or until our criteria is met, then we can choose to take advantage of different opportunities. So really excited to follow up! I Hope to see you for tomorrow's live trading session and if you want to tune on in, it's the second link in the description down below. If you want the biggest discount to watch Meur live as soon as tomorrow I Appreciate your time.

goofboy cheerleader ricky, starting to get extra cringeπ
In trading, possessing technical analysis skills is not sufficient on its own; discipline and emotional maturity play crucial roles in achieving success. Embracing the mindset of "time in the market vs. timing the market" proves valuable, especially during market fluctuations. I attribute my growing daily earnings to Francine Duguay valuable insights and daily trade signals, coupled with my commitment to continuous learning. Kudos to the journey ahead!

Please can someone explain to me how to use the tool.
I paid and enrolled but there are no links to the LPP discord.
Did you run any calls on the bottom and sell on that pump? Or strictly shorting the run ups?
