I've been studying for a few months, yet to make my first trade though.
There are two more dips along the way as this moved to its HOD. Would those also be considered true dips and a point to buy?

if you think a stock is gonna do this, and you're going to reenter at the former high, what's the advantage to not buying at the pre-market high? It's gonna wind up right back there anyway- which is where you plan to buy in? Is the reason to avoid the case where it doesn't rip?

Changing to only trading developed charts can be a game changer. If you just click in at the open with every other trader, you are likely to keep getting shaken out until the stock settles down.
Absolutely thank you for your wisdom! Seen these patterns before but noticing it more often.
I had an "aha" moment watching this too. I've always followed Syke's "morning panic" strategy and while I've had success with it, it's hard to gauge where exactly it's going to stop and then also be quick enough to get filled when it does turn. This simple tweak in the strategy is safer and I'll feel much better having a more clearly defined risk level.
