   I personally don’t like selling something to someone they don’t want and the more you try the more it makes them uncomfortable. You need to understand that people are smart enough to know what they want or don’t want and respect that. It shouldn’t be about you and how good of a salesman you are but about the customer and their needs/wants. Therefore the Cardone method is more honorable which then creates more trust towards you. The Belfort method comes across selfish and people sense that causing them to question your motive.

   It’s easy, don’t try to sell things to people they don’t want.

26. I don't know why so many videos seem to claim that Jordan got the better end of Grant. I watched the video. Both have good points and both have errors in their beliefs.
    Jordan's example of a salesman with only one product. Who only has one product? Do you look at real estate as having only one product; Houses, or do you see that real estate has hundreds of houses, 1 bedrooms, 2 bedroom, 3 bedroom houses?

    Does Jordan have only one product, stocks? Or does he have stocks from different companies, and has stocks that have different price points that could be offered to almost anyone?

    As far as how much time to spend on a sale, its not a sin to spend a lot of time to make a sale, its a sin to spend a lot of time not to make the sale.

27. As a door-to-door guy who’s been in the game for a while. The first objection is always a smokescreen in which you follow by saying “that’s fine just so you know” and you go right back in to where you were. From a door-to-door standpoint, you can work hard or you can work smart. Getting information about the neighbors in a non-creepy manner is the best thing you can do to work smart. In the door-to-door game follow up is not the gold. You’re meant to knock on Cole doors and turn cold doors into sales not set appointments because you will definitely end the day with disappointments.
