Hey, everyone welcome back to another course member live stream. Okay so today in this video we're going to do something special. We're going to look at some trends together, which is really interesting in terms of what's happening out there. and I want to talk to you all about, uh, you know your thoughts on this as well.
First, let me give you some updates here and just put a note here. hold on questions other than four trends and so let's put that in there. Hold on there we go. Okay so uh.
first I am about to post a video on Youtube which I highly recommend that you watch. I think that's scheduled for a few minutes from now it. uh, it has to do with a breakdown of trend between. uh really, what would usually small cap stocks do, uh and how large cap stocks are performing and one of the big ones that uh, that we will talk about a little bit as well.
In this that in my opinion is getting somewhat left behind that perfectly aligns with trend. The trends that we're going to be talking about here will be Disney. Uh now, uh. Disney Disney.
You know when they acquired 21st Century Fox they took on a little chunk of debt. Okay, so unfortunately I don't love the amount of debt that they have. Yeah, I've yesterday was going through their um, their sheets substantially here, which I'll pull that up for us. and uh, but in terms of uh, their capacity for being able to generate revenue and pay this this debt down.
uh, I'm very optimistic for Disney and what I'm seeing in terms of uh, their their earnings calls as well. in terms of consumers spending ridiculously amounts more money on on travel, it got me really curious about what's happening consumer trends. So that's sort of a brief note on Disney. We kind of fell in love with with Disney yesterday, so I increased my allocation to Disney a little bit this morning.
But at the same time, we're seeing this breakdown of a trend where small caps just aren't keeping up with uh, with large caps. Watch that video in detail when I post it later on Youtube. It's not super urgent for you, but I do recommend you watch it because it it really shows it to you and it's something that you I teach you how to track, so watch that later. So anyway, okay, touched on Disney.
touched on that that relationship. We're going to talk consumer trends though, and this will be, in my opinion, quite interesting. So what what I basically did is I went through a lot of different search phrases yesterday. You could do this as well.
I think I've got like 100 of these in here and this is just simply Google trends, so it's very, very simple. But what we want to do is we want to see if we can identify some patterns in what's doing well and what's not doing well right now. And when we identify those patterns then we're We can maybe try to evaluate. Okay, do we need to reposition it all in in certain investment opportunities? Look at this.
There we go. Uh, and I do think that's very valuable to do pretty regularly. It's very easy to kind of forget to do that, but we're going to do some of that together and I've already screenshotted my favorites. I did also promise though, that I was going to be reviewing quite a few companies yesterday, which I did like. Adobe went through their earnings call, went through their earnings report. Have to say I I was not as impressed with their earnings call as I thought I would be. Quite frankly, I think they and this is this might just be like a kind of a mean thing to say, but uh, I honestly think the executives at Adobe got together and before the call said all right guys, make sure when we go in this call everybody is gonna use the phrase uh oh, we're public Oh wow, that's amazing. Okay, uh, well, whatever.
I guess everybody gotta get a little bonus here. Uh, I cannot wait to talk about these trends. So uh well, okay. I'm gonna restart the video because we're supposed to go private here.
Uh, but anyway, we'll talk more about Adobe. We're going to jump on over and make the video not public. so sorry about that. It's supposed to be the course member.
