Meme stonks are back! Some of the cult classic stocks of early 2021 like GameStop Corp. (NYSE: GME) and AMC Entertainment Holdings, Inc. (NYSE: AMC) were spiking yesterday.
Could it continue today? Only time will tell, but I’ll definitely be watching…
Here’s what I’m watching today…
My main watches today are AMC Entertainment Holdings, Inc. (NYSE: AMC), Pieris Pharmaceuticals Inc (NASDAQ: PIRS), and Nabriva Therapeutics PLC - ADR (NASDAQ: NBRV).
I’ve been watching for the $14.50 level on AMC for the past week or so. It’s been trying … Then yesterday, it broke out.

PIRS had crazy volume yesterday. It could do anything today. As of the premarket, my hope is that it will trend sideways. Then, I’ll be looking for a break around the $5.25 area with risk around VWAP.
Despite the fact that NBRV has a terrible long-term chart, I still see some potential. Crappy charts have been hot lately — just look at PIRS yesterday. So I see NBRV as having potential.
Plus, it had already traded 10 million shares in the premarket.
It could be similar to PIRS yesterday. I’ll be looking for a dip and rip over $2.50 with a risk on VWAP...
I love the building and construction sector, so I’m generally interested in Toll Brothers Inc. (NYSE: TOL). They recently announced good earnings, but the stock had no volume in the premarket...
Nonetheless, because of the sector and earnings, I’ll be looking for breakouts. Find out more in today’s session...
A follower asked about Castor Maritime Inc. (NASDAQ: CTRM). Why, why, why? I suppose you could technically say this stock spiked yesterday. But honestly ... It was a 6-cent spike, the shipping sector isn’t hot right now, and there’s no news. Who cares?
Brooklyn Immunotherapeutics Inc. (NYSEAMERICAN: BTX) really blew their conference call yesterday. I didn’t even listen, but the fact that the stock dropped about $2 a share shortly after the call began tells me all I need to know. I’m not super interested today.
I love the 3D printing sector, so I have an interest in 3D Systems Corporation (NYSE: DDD) … But the sector needs a catalyst to jump-start it. There’s just not enough going on right now.
More boring stocks that don’t interest me today? SponsorsOne Inc. (OTCQB: SPONF) has no range and nothing going on.
Vinco Ventures Inc. (NASDAQ: BBIG) is boring today.
Even though I’ve been talking about Palantir Technologies Inc. (NYSE: PLTR) a lot in the past few weeks, and despite the fact that it’s trending, I’m seeing a lot of resistance. The timing may not be right for this one today.
Global-E Online Ltd. (NASDAQ: GLBE) is a recent IPO. For me, it’s an ignore — the volume is terrible. No, no, no. Don’t try to trade stocks that can’t trade a million stocks a day!
