The unemployment rate measures the share of workers in the labor force who do not currently have a job but are actively looking for work. People who have not looked for work in the past four weeks are not included in this measure.

So imagine not entering the two thousand dollar giveaway. what's going on Tina Turkey here with techliff Solutions Hope that you guys are all having an amazing Thursday Today did not go as planned, but it also didn't necessarily get worse. I Want to show you exactly what it is that I'm talking about. This is for the overall.
NASDAQ Market One of the things that we've been focusing on is is the NASDAQ finally going to recover? This is a new Year right? Can we finally finally finally begin to indicate signs of an uptrend after all the Bloodshed in 2022.? as of right now, direction is still uncertain. In my previous video I Talked about a swing tray that I'm very excited to take but right now we do not have confirmation. I am telling you this as someone that is wanting to go long, right? I Want to add more to my my long-term positions but right now the Market's not indicating any signs of an option and I want to remind you it's not about what we want. It's not what we hope for.
it's not what we manifest. Uh, but it's about waiting for proper confirmation, right? Simply really focusing on healthy habits that we weren't as focused on. Maybe in 2023, right? This is not the year to be a perfect Trader this is your this is your year to. Simply Be Uh, be better than what you were last year Right As right now I Still view the market to be very oversold.
We have not broken below previous support range. That's right around that 260 support. You could see that uh, what was this? So this was Thursday Wednesday Tuesday this was Friday of last week. uh Thursday and then Wednesday of last week we hit lows of 259.
Uh, did you guys know the series of economic reports that are set to be released tomorrow? Uh, one of the ones that you guys need to be aware of. Really? I Mean it's actually really important? Uh, two of them. the non-farm payrolls. uh and the unemployment rate.
Uh, remember the unemployment rate. The Federal Reserve has a goal for 2023 to get it over 4.1 percent. The current rate of unemployment is 3.7 Why? Why Why Why why would the Federal Reserve want unemployment to go up? Remember right? This is for all of the beginners out there. Trust me.
I Know it's a weird way of thinking, but the Federal Reserve who's in charge of raising or lowering interest rates, right? They're raising interest rates because they want the economy to slow down. They want to bring down inflation. They've been working towards that, right? With that being said, if they see that the economy is not slowing down, normally, they can be more aggressive. and this is why the market reacted the way that it did.
After the ADP employment change, the expectation was 148k, but the actual was 235k meaning that so many more were actually employed than expected. Meaning that and if you check the initial claims and the continuing claims for those that are unaware initial claims are people that are filing for unemployment checks for the first time and continuing claims. or for the people that have filed for unemployment checks more than just once, right? 1 694k and then the prior was 1 618k. It actually went down. the expectation was 225k but less people actually filed for initial claims. So the first time for filing for unemployment for the past week which was lower than expected. Normally you would think well, isn't that good, More people are getting hired, more people are keeping their jobs. Unemployment checks are down week over week isn't that good.
It's good for the economy. It's bad for the Federal Reserve So what does this mean Exactly Well, the unemployment rate. And again, it's just a weird way of thinking. And trust me, but we're trying.
the market will react I Don't want to say were right. Some people get offended. The market will react most likely in a negative way. if unemployment comes in lower than expected.
If unemployment comes in higher than expected, then that means that the market is slowing down quicker than expected. But if unemployment with the expectation of 3.7 percent comes in lower than expected comes in at 3.6 3.5 The market could potentially sell off and this is why I'm explaining it to you, we're at a support level. This is all based off of technicals. This would be a fundamental reason on why the market is selling out.
There's a reason why. my job here on YouTube is not to try to predict what is going to happen no one knows, right, but to try to prepare. So if you're very aggressively invested by being aware of these different economic reports, you can better prepare for worst case scenario. And that's all I ever tried to encourage.
For my beginner viewers, your job is not to predict the future. Your job is to prepare for it and to be able to tolerate worst case scenario. So ask yourself a very simple question if the market were to come out with a lower rate of unemployment and if the market sells off when it devastate you. And if so, then maybe you should do something about your position size.
Remember, the question is never if the stock market will recover, but it's a when. And if you continue to enter aggressive positions just like you did last year, you will not be able to tolerate the time that it will take for the market to recover. So therefore you just simply wasted your time. stay light, stay effective.
And the example that I can give you is: imagine yourself owning one share of QQQ And even if the market sells off, let's say it's one of the worst days. It sells off five percent. If you own one share, you can tolerate that all day, all day. Yeah, it sucks it lost five percent.
but guess what? you're in with a position size that doesn't affect your critical thinking. And that's what I want you to take into consideration. Where it's not about predicting the future, it's not always about being right. But even when you're wrong that you're wrong in a small way. And if you're right and this thing does begin to uptrend, then you can dollar cost average on the way up. Remember the Market's been selling off for quite some time. We have no ground to stand on as someone that wants to invest um, or that someone wants for someone that wants to make money for the market to go up, right? We all want to make money. There's nothing special about that, but you need to respect what is currently being told.
Again, what's the picture that's being drawn. We are trading right now below the moving average. We're making lower highs and lower lows. We're at a potential support level.
Patterns tend to repeat themselves. They don't always have to I view the market to be oversold enough where I took a position in Tqs, but it's light enough that even at worst case scenario, I can tolerate it. And this is why I'm giving you this example. and this is why I'm explaining to you what was reported today and what is being reported tomorrow not to predict the future, but to Simply prepare for it and again.

Great content Ricky , there has been a lot of talk about a January rally and certain stocks that are expected to see significant growth in the new year. Do you know which stocks these are? I recently sold my house and I am considering investing a large sum of money into the stock market before prices potentially rise again. Is now a good time to buy stocks or not?
Great content Ricky, Regarding this I'm not kidding when I say that the market crash and high inflation have me really stressed out and worried about retirement. I've been in the red for a while now and although people say these crisis has it perks, I'm losing my mind but I get it Investing is a long-term game, so focus on the long run.
Unemployment is down but premarket is up? Is good news is now good news? 🤦🏻♂️
Best time to re-invest in Tesla?
Direction is not uncertain. It's going down, and will continue to go down for at least another 6 months.

The truth is with this recent economy Everyone needs more than there salary to be financially stable. The the best thing to do with your money is to lnvest it rightly because money left for saving always end up used with no returns. ..
