New Tesla FSD Demo Video From Ukraine - Fake or Real? It seems that a hacked Tesla FSD Beta demo from Ukraine validates Elon Musk’s Autopilot vision according to a few twitter posts, as well as a very interesting Teslarati article.
link to the original video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2PkGHvUkbPo

Okay, so something really interesting happened. Yesterday, omar kazi uh, more known, as you know, hallmark's catalog on twitter he's one of the main guys tweeting about tesla elon musk. In fact, he just sold a signed tesla by elon musk to warren rydlick, shout out to warren by the way another great channel - and i don't know if you noticed my little russian accent by the way just kind of jumped in hey, can't help it anyways omar Kazi, basically said: hey: is there anybody here who speaks russian? That's not something you get every day on twitter and i definitely said well. I can help you what's the story and he pointed out the video that actually claims to have full self-driving tesla in kiev.

Ukraine. Now, beyond the fact that i was insulted that this is in ukraine, i mean ukraine really, ukraine, mother lover. I mean ukraine justice. I love my ukrainian brothers, no hate i was just kidding around.

Essentially, i was being asked to test check it out and basically verify if this video is legit or it's just some fake ass and i watched the video in its entirety and i got ta be honest with you. It seems legit from everything i've seen in this video. It seems 100 legit. It seems like it's an actual operating working, full self-driving tesla in kiev.

Now what i want to do in this video, as you know, since i always give away the bottom line first, i mean i'm not going to wait until then the video to tell you that i think the video was legit so here it is, if that's the Only thing you needed, i mean by all means you're free to leave, but if you want to see my reaction to the video and basically my analysis because it is in russian, so you're going to need me to translate what the guy is saying you might want To stick around for the next 10 minutes, i'm going to be watching the video and basically showing you explaining what he's talking about what we're seeing and, in fact, i think, you'd be quite surprised about how good the system operates in a country like ukraine, i mean That's not the best infrastructure you can imagine i'm just saying i mean but hey much love to my ukrainian brothers. I'm just kidding around i'm some russian ukrainian banter, no hate. Obviously so we're gon na do this in a second, but you know first of all, as always, i ask if you one thing: do not click nothing do not buy. Nothing, do not smash nothing.

We don't have any courses to sell. There's no sponsors here, just your attention is the only thing i ask and let's just jump straight into it. So this is a channel out of the ukraine called dr elan, i'm assuming it's referring to elon musk. What it says here in russian is short.

I guess you can read that real fsd beta in the center of kiev autopilot and then a bunch of googly goo, basically so right off the bat. I can tell you that you know the guy seems quite serious. He doesn't seem hyped up and but let's keep watching full self driving beta video fsd beta, full self driving is currently an early app. So this is the part where he talks about beta not being available anywhere else, i guess, and what it is and the fact they're going to test it out in kiev in the ukraine.
So let's skip to the actual test and shout out to dr elan. They have 500 subscribers. You can show them a little bit of love if you speak russian. So let's, let's hit the video.

This is the red section of kiev and he's saying that this is essentially to the best of his knowledge. The first time fsd system was tested in at least in the ukraine uh or in the continent, and basically he's explaining what are the parameters of this test is gon na run so he's taking route from this location to another location which is uh, he's saying it's A scenic route so for the video it's going to be nice to watch, but also it's quite stressful on the fsd, because it a nighttime. It has a lot of traffic, a lot of pedestrians, a lot of activity. It's like a nighttime active area, so he wants to stress the system.

It's called expanded, full self driving, as you can see right here, that's what he's talking about and basically it says full self driving, which is a feature you can clearly see on the screen. I don't think it's doctored you're gon na need a hollywood level fx studio to doctor this video based on what i'm seeing it says: full self driving and they're basically saying well. We are not aware of anybody having this feature yet in europe. Oh yeah, you saw him toggle that it's it's.

It seems very real beyond the fact that the way this guy speaks sounds very realistic. Again, i'm going to put the full video you can go and watch it, i'm not going to play the whole video. I just want to test it and see if it's legit um as a they're speaking russian, even though they're in ukraine, which means they're either russians living in ukraine, which there's plenty of or they just. I guess no very good russian, but the russian is really good.

A lot of these videos coming out of ukraine they're in ukrainian, which i can't understand, but luckily for us this is in russian, which i can actually speak and understand, fluently. Okay, they're setting the course so they're not gon na go full self-driving immediately. They're gon na take it out of this section on their own and then they're going to toggle it later on, he's saying that when you see the string wheel of the autopilot you're going to see it's an autopilot, yeah they're going to try it right now, not Yet he's one he's wondering he's asking his friend who's more the technical guy. His name is jarek uh, he said and that's the noise in the castle he's basically asking.

Will it stop in the red? He sounds legitimately concerned that the car is not going to stop. Yep first test is successful, stop at red light. This cannot be doctored. Ladies and gentlemen, there's no way that this is doctor look at this, and i can confirm that this is ukraine by the way.
If you look at the window, this is well. I don't know either russia or ukraine, but it seems more ukrainian to me, but we're going to see in a second, i think it's 100 ukrainian yeah. You can see shivchenko! Sorry! You can see the name of the street here yeah. It's ukraine, 100 percent.

Okay. So this is a version that was released for testers. Only that's what yaric was saying, so this gives you a clue how they got it he's one of the testers, i'm guessing who got it. So this is the tester version.

Oh did i skip forward. Oh sorry about that, did i not oh no, what just happened, what just happened? Sorry, okay and then they're saying here on the screen: what's the difference between testers and a work in progress like a full beta right, i guess there's going to be a lot of bloopers, and so we don't want to watch that. Obviously this is all publicly available. Let's keep watching the video, it seems legit yeah they're, going to test if it's going to turn right with the indicator.

Oh you're supposed to go straight. Sorry he's asking if there's any way to set maximum speed to limit the autopilot in certain areas of the city. This is a very difficult thing for look at this. This is such a crowded street.

This is just only in ukraine. You can hear the ukrainian accent by the way navihatia the russians we say, navigate and the ukrainians when they speak in russian. They say navigate because they don't say never mind. You probably don't give a.

In any case, i'm not going to watch the full video go. Watch the full video the channel is called dr elan. I think they're worth a shout out from you guys, let's give them a like and subscribe give them a little bit of love. Watch the full video the video seems legitimate to me.

It seems real. It would be very hard to doctor it from what i hear from yarik the way he's speaking. He definitely knows what he's talking about. It seems very real, so my verdict is 100 real.

It is what it is so there you have it. Ladies and gentlemen, i think the video is 100 legitimate, it seems very authentic. The guys seem knowledgeable, it doesn't seem. Doctored edited, it doesn't seem.

Fixed in any way seems quite realistic, very surprising how good the system actually operates in a country like ukraine, which doesn't obviously have the best infrastructure. You can imagine. It's very impressive and kind of makes me think that tesla is doing a lot more testing. Out of this fsd around the world that we haven't heard about, that's just one example, although i'm not sure how this guy got out of his nda and because i'm sure tesla had ndas wherever he tests things but hey it's not our problem.

This thing seems legit. If you enjoyed the video uh, please let me know below what you think also, if you want to join our patreon five dollars per month and you'll be supporting the channel. Also, we have a zoom call coming up tomorrow at 2 p.m. Eastern, if you join today, you can jump on the zoom call tomorrow.
I'd love to see you there as always much pleasure. I really enjoy the company i'll see you tomorrow.

The ultimate test would be new delhi streets during rush hour which is always

What is most surprising to me… is that navigation works at all. I was in Ukraine a couple of weeks ago, and my Tesla refuses to a) LTE connect, but when connected to WiFi (hotspot), it won't plan any routes at all. When just outside, it routes around UA, and won't plan routes into it.

Interesting, I am in the US and my car does stop on traffic lights and yes, you currently can manage your speeds if you like.

Sorry brother, but "in my opinion, might be the rambling of a mad man" the camera switches at the start are horrible. 🙁 Jarring and distracting. Maybe less of them or different angles would work better.

This is an infamous Tesla enthusiast over there. I used their service to insrert a physical SIM in my model 3, and, yes, they can do almost everything, yet i don't need nor performance or lane change in a way of any hack. Tesla is much more popular and widely used in Ukraine than in Russia. Why not figure out first, not to tell once again about where it is or who they are

Awesome video Tom Nash. I love the mixture of different content you’ve been making lately.

Turns out this is a bootleg copy of FSD 8.2 Beta. Tesla hackers with Root access have been installing it. So Tesla is probably not benefiting from data sent in by these cars, and certainly isn’t actively Beta testing in Ukraine. Rumor has it that a bootleg copy of 9.2 Beta is starting to circulate among Tesla hackers as well, but I haven’t seen any proof yet. Cheers.

Tesla should pay some drivers top dollars to test it in India, Dominican Republic, or any other third world country and it should learn enough to adapt to drive anywhere. (Actually, FSD would have to adapt depending on what country or town is being tested). It might get a couple testers in the hospital but in the end is going to save a lot of lives.

My parents both came from Poland. So I am fluent and as you know it borders what it Borders. I think it's a phenomenal idea that he tests his cars in different countries with their needs . Infrastructure , road signs. Our stop signs, there stop signs. hopefully there's one in Poland and in Russia . Real-world testing of cars is where the most valuable data comes from. And it's probably cost-effective compared to the dollar in Europe

this is an old FSD version. the interface looks way better in the new version 9.

Interesting video, but from the video graphics this is old FSD beta 8.x. Tesla's state-of-art FSD software is far beyond this level at this moment.

They are in Kyiv, very legit video, I lived there for almost 7 years, know all the streets they drove on. Also Russian speakers are common in Kyiv.

I was born in Kiev and I can't even speak Ukranian. Speaking Russian in Kiev is very normal and I think you can pretty much expect anyone on the street to be able to speak Russian.

This seems to make perfect sense to tesla. In Europe the autopilot system has been seriously nerfed by the european union. Alegedly to protect the european legacy automakers from the functionality of the Tesla autopilot. Even our model s with AP1 has been seriously nerfed since updates enforced by Tesla at the end of 2019. In the reaction I have shared the quote of the email received by Tesla, in dutch sorry, that explained the necessity of the update.
That we now see this video in Ukraine makes perfect sense since Ukraine is not officially part of the european union so these rules do not apply to them. This is smart of Tesla to release FSD beta here to simulate european driving conditions.

Kiev is actually a beautiful city, with good infrastructure. It was developed with great investment by the USSR and being the capital 90% of the money stays there in the city center. Kiev is about 50% Russian or more but no media is permitted to use Russian now, which caused the entire eastern and southern regions of the country to have no media after recent government actions to shut down the Russian language broadcast and newspapers which served about 1/3rd the population that has not learned Ukrainian, although they are very similar and linguists view Ukrainian to be a dialect of Russian. The video seems legitimate but an older version of the software.
A lot of stolen cars end up there but it is more likely that it is a US car imported to Ukraine through black channels. Surely Tesla has been testing FSD in Europe. The first Tesla in Ukraine was in March 2018 by Alexander Kravtsov, CEO of a dealership named ElectroCars. It was a low mileage USA car, the same one that set the record for coast to coast time by owner Daniel Zorrilla and editor of the American edition of the Drive and editor of the American edition of the "Drive" Alex Roy held a 4-day test drive running the Cannonball Run.
If it is still being updated Tesla obviously knows it is there The most interesting part of the video is that it proves FSD driving is not limited to specific US streets, unlike the competition.
Musk stated in May of this year that he is considering a factory in Russia which makes a lot of sense with the demand for them in Russia and the easy transport to Central Europe and the south. Russia also has a highly educated workforce, stability, growing economy, low costs, free land, and proposed free electricity, water, and natural gas and 146 million potential customers. Ford had their most efficient and profitable plant just outside of St Petersburg that allowed Ford do avoid bankruptcy in 2008. For had 3 factories in Russia before dropping passenger cars. The Obama/Biden administration applied a lot of pressure on Ford to close the plants. It closed their plant that produced the wildly successful Focus for the Russian market and sold off the 2 factories making vans and heavy trucks which are still in operation but not owned by Ford now. There are 13 brands made in Russia now, so it produces more brands of car/truck than elsewhere in Europe after Germany. The output is shipped all over the a range of 11 time zones including the "Stans" to the south and to Turkey

I agree that this seems real. I saw a tweet yesterday that FSD beta testing is being extended to Europe and Asia, so perhaps this is the first evidence of this. Surprising that they seem to be using an older version of FSD beta than that in the USA (the visualisations of lane markings are dotted, rather than continuous with blurring relating to degree of uncertainty).

  28. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars chrvids says:

Certainly not FSD 9.2 based upon the screen….older version…boxes for cars.
