Vlad Tenev, co-founder and co-CEO of investing app Robinhood had a major conflict of interest during the GameStop and AMC drama, and nobody is talking about it. I think it is important to bring this to light.

the order of flow issue, the issue of the tight "friendship" with blackrock, with nikola, the over reliace on "less sophisticated" "investors" and other very, very "questionable" companies, is ample reason, to switch any holdings you have with robinhood, and to avoid them like the plague both as a trading platform and even more so avoid them as one of your holdings.

You really want to be wealthy? Start a bank or some kind of clearing house or brokerage.

Smells foul. This is BS. At the very least, Vlad should be banned from the US financial system and have all his wealth confiscated.

The biggest winner is the other co-founder of Robinhood. Moral of the story: if you are fintech founder, best not to volunteer to be the face of it.

Thank you for sharing, this is very clear! Much appreciated for your effort. I really don't understand how this was not asked during the hearing!

If Robin Hood was real, they would have hired Vlad Tepes instead of Vlad Tenev.

Why didn't Congress subpoena the executives at DTCC who were the ones demanding immediate 100% collateral of GME and AMC from brokers instead of the usual 2-3? They need to explain in detail their justification in upping the collateral 100%. There was nothing in the order flow no matter how much volume and volatility to indicate or suspect that these buy orders weren't legitimate. Don't blame RobinHood, blame DTCC. They knew that by upping collateral requirement would force RobinHood to restrict buy orders. And don't think that DTCC administrators and Clearing houses like Citadel and Hedgies don't know each other. They are all in the same industry and field moving in and out of each other's circles. They can remain anonymous as long as nobody subpoena's them.

Absolutely right !! Spot on Tom… I came across exactly the same thing 15 years ago in the Forex market. Essentially this is what would happen. If you as a currency day trader got too good at playing the market, the company that executed your trade would start to bet against you, and because they had a lot more money in the market than you do as a private day trader, they would affect the results of your trades. I name no names because of potential legal consequences…… In the stock market brokers should be prohibited by law from having any positions or any conflicts of interest when it comes to trading in any way shares that their clients are trading, and taking that forward that includes giving preferential treatment to investors in the brokerage providing liquidity at a heavily discounted price.

I cannot believe no one official can see these facts either. Madness.

Great that you are calling out these charlatans (RH). Youโ€™re right the hearing was a nonsense not sure why they didnโ€™t get people who knew what they were talking about to ask the questions.

I blame all the idiots that are the so called politicians aid. Those who actually do the research so politicians dont look stupid. Obviously politicians have no clue but their aid should be smart grunts who do the hard research but failed in this case.

This is a great video since it enlightens us about some facts which most of us have overlooked (or didn't even care to read). But the question remains, Why does everyone only put RH in the hot seat when other brokerages also limited buying the meme stocks? Is it because Robinhood dominates the numbers of retail investors/customers compared to other trading platforms? Just throwing it out there…

  22. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Homer Sharp says:

All they had to do was restrict margins like the other platforms. But no, they cut all buying. They are controlled by the hedge funds. People need to leave robinhood and let it die.
