To trade uh okay again from uh, my camper, my Sprinter Sprinter van and uh to see if I can find a couple good stocks to trade I See a couple opportunities already so you know I'm gonna keep this on watch I Sort of feel like there's an interesting thing happening right now with um, the type of stocks that are moving. you know I Talked about this a little bit in my episode I uploaded to: YouTube the Anatomy of a Trade on was it aurc I can't remember but I was talking about how during this Bear Market we've had a lot of stocks that have gotten hammered right that have sold off, sold off, have done secondary offerings, or trying to raise money, are not in good shape. and I've had to do reverse splits and so we have probably more stocks right now with a float of under 1 million shares then maybe we've ever had because of all of these reverse splits. So you know I think that that's something um, definitely to be um, aware of.

Uh yeah. I'm checking my um, my dropped frames. It's a little higher right now, but we'll see if it comes back down. My speed was pretty solid.

Sometimes it's like a passing, you know, just like a little funny and then it gets better. Let me just check if it keeps going up. I'll um I'll probably have to drop one of my um, one of my feeds here, but we'll see. We'll see we can do.

um yeah, see, it's coming back up a little bit. Can I see that? Okay, let's see Reconnecting? All right. So I'm connected again so we'll we'll have to see how frequent these interruptions are. Um, but if this keeps happening, that's going to be a problem.

Oh I think I'm on the wrong stream there on YouTube So anyways, um, so we have a lot of stocks with very, very low floats is what I was getting at. and uh, the thing about that is when some of those stocks start to pop up, we see some pretty impressive moves. so it's worth. um, it's worth being being aware of that when you see a stock that's particularly low flow, especially if it's a recent reverse split.

this is where we've seen some of the biggest action so far in the last maybe two weeks this morning. MF You know this one. It's a cheaper stock. it's more thickly traded.

I Think this is the type of stock that people will just buy and hold on to and hope it makes a big move, but to try to get quick scalp trades on it or quick breakout trades I Don't think that's going to be a realistic a realistic goal. So I'm going to leave that one alone for now just watching my feed connection here. So at math top Tupperware yell you know these just aren't the type of stocks that typically I would do while day trading. You definitely got a nice move on uh Yale yesterday.

but I generally look for something that I think has a little bit more juice, a little more potential. Okay, so let's see. so I have my um just by the way for we were talking about this yesterday a little bit. A couple of my uh, longer term trades that I'm holding Procter Gamble Pepsi Coca-Cola and I have a covered call on Procter Gamble at 160.
that I sold yesterday. so I'm up on that right now. about 32 bucks. Right now my dropped frames have been they're sitting at eight percent.

Not great, but could be a little bit could be could be better. A leading gapper this morning is MF Aurc pulled back yesterday Smnp just looking at some of the continuation stocks to see if there's anything for today. S N M P is the one I would keep an eye on a URC I would still keep an eye on that one in case it can break over about sixty dollars a share. You're welcome.

Just go. my pleasure. Ahi Uh, not too interested in that one. J-e-w-l foreign.

The floats 14 million shares volume is pretty light. It's I don't know that it has what it needs to make a big move. So with about 12 minutes of the opening bell, no trades yet for me I'm not even looking I'm not falling for that foreign despite having low volume. has a 15 000 share seller at 208, so that's kind of funny because it's that's 10 of the total volume, already.

As a seller at 208, that's someone's ready to sell. One of the challenges with some of these setups: Uh, we sort of had it yesterday. I Remember yesterday I was looking at SNMP at seven and I ended up going up to 10 bucks and I was like man, you know I was looking at that double bottom there and ended up working but the volume was light so I just kind of waited and then by the time there was more volume I'd miss the move so I was like ah, shoot, do I just you know when I see a setup like this, do I just get in for that flat bottom or do I wait for more volume knowing by the time the volume comes in maybe I'll miss it I'm not sure. Yeah, Jewel also has a larger spread was Duo's reverse split today.

thought that it was going to be Friday but now I'm not sure. Let's see Duo 15 to 1 split today August 4th we're sitting here with about six and a half minutes to the opening Bow: There's really nothing that I'm interested in right now. I mean there's nothing that that exciting happening here. so I'm just gonna wait to see if something starts to move.

Hopefully my internet gets a little bit better as the uh as the day goes on here. Foreign: It's plugging in my laptop so game plan is going to be to try to figure out what's obvious today. MF in terms of volume has the most Sometimes I think that you have a lot of kind of beginner traders that get caught up into trading these types of stocks. but they're not really day trading them, they're just kind of buying them and it's holding them and hoping they're the next stock that goes to 10 bucks or whatever.

So you get volume. but you don't necessarily get the clean charts that I look for. So with that being the case, um, right now I'm not interested in this. Uh, Greg Usually it's like quarter to one-fifth you know, 3 000 shares.

So yeah, sometimes it'll be six thousand and then I'll go up to 10, 12, or 15. haven't been frequently trading much more than that lately just because there hasn't been much that really. I Feel like offers the liquidity to size up in that way. So anyways, we've got a little bit of a game plan here.

I know you generally aim for 2:1 but when youre in a drawdown you focus on base hits. is that still 2:1 rrr or 1:1 rrr?

Honestly the way I look at day trading is like any other job… you either have a nac for it or you don't. There are to many scenarios that unfortunately just can't be tought to someone.

Hello Ross ,As a Fulltime trader, How do you handle Superficial Loss Rule? For example, If someone trading only Few stock (or the same stock again and again like a day trader )during entire year then as per this Rule, they can't deduct losses from repeated Stocks. In this case Total Yearly income from Trading would be much higher then actual income, Correct? Then in that case how the beginner trader can be profitable at the time of filing taxes?

    I missed another stream 😥

I was refreshing your youtube to see the stream.
Did you start a bit later todaythan usual by any chance?

Anyway, what I wanted to comment on is a video you made 2 months back that might be good to refresh upon every now and then during live stream for us newbiews.

Since I didn't catch you stream I found the video called "How to Day Trade Stocks witih Big Spreads" and learned something very valuable.
I learned why, as a day trader, we need to stop thinking in percentile and rather think about how much you profit per share.

As a more long term trader before starting this adventure, I've always been thinking percentile.
So instead of operating how much money you invest in the stock, you rather operate in how many stocks you buy,
Even makes the profit calculation much quicker.

Thank you for uploading that video, I feel like a the lightbulb above my head just got turned on.

The GOAT! We need another trader psych type of video! I had a great trade today which hit my profit target for the day, then I seen 3 more A+ setups that are my gotos but did not take them due to fear of loss. BUT on losing days I will keep going, and even take bad R/R trades on tilt! I'm sure others can relate, I will have 2 weeks of good base hits, but never any of those big days when the market is hot. Even though my daily win percentage is around 70%, one losing day wipes out all those base hits! I'm sure a lot of other traders have this issue and it is what separates the breakeven from the winning traders.

did you see what GOOG did?
