What's up, everybody welcome back to the channel, so today's video is going to be about the jet blue plus credit card. So here's the car right here - nothing too special about it plastic. But what's really nice about this card as opposed to the physical is the internal and what it brings to you can take you on a really nice trip and i think that's what i'm going to do too. So if you guys want to see that let's get right into the video, so this is the credit card master channel.

We talk about travel credit and how to use those points that you're going to get on credit cards and get free travel get cheap travel. So, let's get into this car, so not really the biggest jetblue flyer! Why it's nothing personal against them? They just really don't fly out of philly as much as unfortunately american does.

If i had other choices, i would but place flights like united jetblue southwest, not really um, i mean they're there. I see them, but they're, not there as much as american is adults as their spirits at the philadelphia airport. So that's typically, you know. I can only really fly where i am, unless i wanted to take a trip, maybe like two hours to jfk or maybe an hour and 40 minutes and go to uh newark airport, but i'll stick to my 20 minutes to go to philadelphia and just ride it Out, but with this card, i'm definitely going to take a trip over to jfk.

So let's go over the benefits of this card and again, like i said guys, this is a plastic card, nothing special about the appearance of it. But what is so powerful about the jetblue plus card is what is actually inside and when it offers to you. So the first thing um the signup bonus for this card - was always very low, which is why i never really glimpsed at it. I believe at one time it was 30 000 and then the next time it was at maybe 60 000 at an all-time high right now it is at an all-time high.

Record-Breaking 100 000 bonus points and it is a very easy, probably the easiest. As far as time frame and the amount you have to spend within that time frame ever on any credit card that i've ever had credit card and charge card, so let's go right into it. First, let's go over what the benefits are for this card. I think it's important to know what you're getting yourself into before you apply and also the bank.

So the bank is barclay card, barclays all right, so that's the bank, let's get into it, so jetblue um. So this is on the barclays website, barclayscardus.com jetblue plus card. You earn up to a hundred thousand bonus points after qualifying purchases and we'll get into what that entails quickly. Six x points on eligible jetblue purchases, two x points at restaurants and eligible grocery stores and a 99 annual fee.

Let's get into these rewards we'll go we'll go over the sign up bonus first, so you earn up to 100 000 bonus points and i'll come back to it after you've met the minimum qualification of 6 000 within the first 12 months, but it's broken into two Phases, the first phase is split. 50. 50, so you get 50 000 after you spend a thousand dollars on purchases within the first 90 days and you also pay the annual fee. That is easy.

There is no reason that anybody in 2021 would have issues with that, and if you can do it, i'm sure you can find your friend that'll, give you the money and you can use whatever they got to pay for you can get that done in a couple Minutes so pay the 99 annual fee and spend a thousand dollars within the first 90 days. You will get 50 000 bonus miles, guys, keep in mind. Please pay these things in full. Do not buy things on credit cards to just reach the signup bonus and you can't afford to pay for whatever you pay, for you do not want to pay interest.

This is how you do this. You pay for what you're going to pay for anyway. Pay it off in full. Get those points walk out.

That's it! The next phase. Is you spend 50? 000? Sorry, you get 50 000 bonus points. Additionally, after you spend 6 000 total in the first 12 months right. So all you have to do and i'm going to use my phone right here.

All you got to do within 12 months is spend six thousand dollars and you would get a hundred thousand bonus points all right. Let's just say 6100, since you got to pay the annual fee, so 6 100 divided by 12 for 12 months, is an average of about 508 dollars. But, let's round up, we don't want to be a dollar short, all right, so 509 dollars. So all you have to do is spend 509 dollars per month on this card within that first year of you applying for the card, not the count of the year, but the first year you apply for the card.

The first day, you'll spend you'll you'll be spending over sixty one hundred dollars. You'll have a hundred thousand bonus points easy and we'll talk about my redemption. Afterwards, you get six points per dollar on eligible jetblue purchases, two points at restaurants and eligible grocery stores and one x on all other purchases, so you'll at least get something for swiping your card and yeah. You earn 5 000 bonus points every year.

After your account anniversary, you enjoy mosaic benefits if you spend 50 000 or more in purchases on this card, not going to do that personally, so i'm not gon na get too much into it about spending 50 grand on this kind of card, and you enjoy an Annual 100 statement credit after purchasing a jet blue vacations package of 100 or more. If you can find something for 100 and you can spend 100 you'll get it for free and you also get 50 off of in-flight savings or cocktails on food purchases. I love it. I love it now, one of the bigger fees for people who are thinking about this car long-term, not the bigger fees, probably the bigger benefits, is your free first check bag.

It's up to four people, including yourself, so you and three people. All of you will get your first check bag for free all right, and that is definitely going to be more than a hundred dollars. If not a hundred dollars round trip, it will be more than a hundred dollars. So that will put you in the positive as far as annual fees automatically, that 100 annual fee will be nothing to you all right easy.

You can do points pooling your points, do not expire and you get a low introductory apr and balance transfers and stuff like that. If that's your type of thing, not my type of thing, but if that's your type of thing then so be it um i like to pay my things off of full, so i don't really get too much into those things all right. But let's talk about this sign up bonus, because this is why i did it: okay, i'm gon na go to jfk and i want to fly from jfk to las vegas or jfk to los angeles or even go um overseas to maybe like san juan or something Like that and what you can do is i want to fly jetblue mint. Now you have to find a sweet spot with jetblue men, but what i've noticed from me doing my research.

I can find a flight in us dollars for mint um for dollars. It's going to be about 48 000 jetblue, true blue points, okay and i'll have a hundred thousand of those. So i can do one round trip for myself or i can do two one ways easy money, easy and all you got to do is pay. I think maybe 11 tops per ticket in taxes, so you're looking at spending, maybe 20 25 bucks tops that's easy.

Now. If you don't know what jetblue mint is, it is comparable to delta one it's comparable to united's first class, i'm over there. I think it's called polaris and then also americans first class, which i don't know what theirs is called. I guess it's just called.

First class um nice lay down seat, you can relax, you can lay down it's like a bed, they give you an amenities kit. You get all this good food, you get beverages, it's it's first class, it's called jetblue mint, it's just called different, but i i was it looks so good. A lot of people are really impressed with mint compared to all the other ones, and i think i thought this was a really great opportunity. Like i said, this was a record high, signup bonus and, like i said when you're looking at jetblue redemptions for men, you want to look at the dollar value.

First, if the dollar value from mints around 500 to about 600, you can get a with this sign up bonus. You can get two one ways or one round trip meant for 40. Bucks tops as opposed to spending a thousand to twelve hundred dollars, tops for this. So still for me, if you think about it, i spent 99 for the annual fee.

Then i'll spend 20 for uh taxes. So i'm looking at 124 bucks. I am extremely excited about that. I will do another video once i've found my redemption and then i'll do another video, of course, to vlog the jet blue man experience not too many videos about jetblue mint.

I want to give you my point of view on it. I want to give you my experience on it and see if you guys like it, i'm truly excited for it and, like i said i you got ta men is only offered on certain flights um, because it's a higher class like that's the only really like first Class that they really have so it's mostly offered on transcontinental flights, so jersey to las vegas, new york, to los angeles and maybe even like you know, jersey or new york, to maybe off the country and you'll be able to when you're on jetblue's website. You can actually specify and see what flight routes go to do, mint um and then you could choose from there now, like i said, mint can go anywhere between i've seen the cheapest. So far, 47 900 up to about 88 000 points, one way which, with the 100 sonic bonus, i can do either or but i want to maximize so i really i'm going to find a trip that i can do.

I can get two for one, because you know i don't really see myself racking up a lot of points with this car to be able to get another 100 000 points, and from my experience i don't think they have referral links here - that i can kind of Get points referral wise, so i don't know about this card after year one. But i think if you are a jetblue flyer, you are a true blue flyer. You got that right, then uh, you would benefit from this card. If you were somebody who lives in that newark airport, one of my best friends, he flies that's his that's his.

This is his airline, so he would benefit from this card um, i'm not sure if we spend 50 grand on it per year, but he would still benefit at least with the check bags and the account anniversary, and especially the sign up bonus for the first year. I don't know about the second year for me, but i'm definitely going to rock out this car for the first year i'll. Let you know guys how it goes. Rent mortgage is probably like two to three grand a month, so i can knock this out no problem.
