Phenomenal video. You nailed it. Companies will only take so much uncertainty and BS before they will switch to more stable and democratic alternatives.
I work in IT closely with Chinese and Indians. It is day and night in term of capabilities, work ethics and style, common sense. With one group, you are able to achieve something, with the other, it is only a hassle. One group puts all its efforts into the matter, the other one does not even get started. Kinda worried therefore, if this is really to evolve like described…
Production has been slowly moving out of China for many years. Look at your shoes and clothes most shoes anymore are made in Indonesia. Clothes are been made in Malaysia and Indonesia. Welcome to the Party Tom.
India is on track to overtake China as the 2nd largest economy. There are a lot of other players in the region as well, but India is what China should have been – a relatively stable, yet rapidly developing country that's open to change and cooperation.
China's about to figure out what happens when their real estate market implodes while their population is on the verge of shrinking due to their child policies, and also the youngest generation "lying flat" as they're fed up with slaving away in a system that doesn't offer them hope of a better future.
Both the IRA and Chips Act will help a lot in bringing manufacturing back to the US: EVs, batteries, strategic minerals, solar panels and semiconductors will no longer be tied to China's supply chain whims. Many companies already expanding to the US.
I have thought it for a long time as the CCP simply can no longer be trusted to have a rule of law that is safe for a company or an individual to operate in, this is clearly not the case! With the huge demographic issue I expect China to be gone as the global factory well before e the end of the decade and without the grown they military grown will also fall as you need more to progress militarily
India's reputation took a big hit when they sided with Russia and choose cheap oil over sanctioning Russia for war crimes I think Indonesia is a safer bet on the long term
Elon Musk walked away from India because of the insane protectionism of their automotive industry. Indonesia is the next best option after China, and can take care of the southern hemisphere Asia-Pacific market for Tesla.
The China experiment- a hybrid blend of Communist Government and pseudo-capitalism would have surprised everyone if it would have worked since the world is accustomed to the democracy/capitalism model. India more closely resembles this latter combination = much higher probability it will be sustainable. History suggests that we should expect increasingly-disruptive actions from China as their experiment fails, similar to the actions by Putin as the post-USSR Russia experiment failed, e.g., Taiwan invasion. So strange……. for almost 80 years the world was relatively calm and now, troubles everywhere.
It's because China is rising way too quickly, we all knew the USA's goal is to retain its global hegemony. The idea of 2 Superpower in this world is unacceptable to the USA which is why the recent rise of anti-china sentinment all around the world. Similary just like Japan in the 90s when its economy is at its peak and the USA try everything in its might to supress Japan's economy from overtaking it.
I don't think people will be stoked on China for awhile. It would take dramatic changes. The risk is too high and people's tolerance is lower than ever
Great video, as always. And a great call on the "canary in the coalmine." It is a matter of time until major companies "diversify" elsewhere. My question is how quickly will this happen. I personally think it will happen more rapidly than many may expect, especially as cracks in the Chinese economy become larger and unable to be hidden by the CCP.

Making money is an action.Keeping money is behavior, but"Growing money is wisdom"….I figured this out a week ago
True, also the constant IP theft, and no control on ripped of products.

100%, but China is also involved in India. We need to bring manufacturing back home!

Citizens are basically enslaved to its government
2022 looking bad for China. 2023 looking WAY WORST
