In order to make a grand in a day, how much capitol does it take you? I'm rearranging and rebalancing my retirement account. I don't have the PDT to worry about, but if I buy with unsettled funds I need to hold that specific lot for 2 days so I can't keep going in and out of a trade. I'm not experienced enough to dive all in. I have about $10-15k usually that's not in equities to trade with. I usually only put $500-1500 in on a particular day trade. But may do that 2x a day. What would a good day, aka percentage or dollar amount, look like equivalent to your $1000 profit days to shoot for as a goal, I usually do 1 or 2 daily trades and the other trades are more swing -buying or selling what I have at lower and higher prices respectively to capture profits or rebalance my position sizes by sector.
