So the Capital One Venture X card has been out for a while now and it caused a lot of craze. a lot of Buzz because it's one of those top premium travel credit cards. but it has a really affordable annual fee. So in this video we're going to talk about is it still worth it having the Capital One Metro X card in your wallet right now let's get right into the video.

Alright, so let's talk about the welcome bonus. That's really important, especially for year one.

If you spend four thousand dollars in the first three months, Capital One is going to give you 75 000 miles that you can use towards travel and all that good stuff, which if you do one cent per point is at least worth 750. With that being said, that's at least 750 on value that first year, which puts you in the plus about 355 dollars. So that annual fee of 395 that we're going to talk about in a minute automatically you profit from that first year. So the first year of course is worth it.

You can find a lot of value through the Capital One travel portal was 75 000 miles. Now the biggest thing that I like about this again, the annual fee is 3.95 but you get a massive 300 annual Travel credit every year your car to renews that you can use for cruises, flights, hotels through the Capital One travel portal and it could be any type of travel. It's not really restricted like how American Express is where you can only do you know x amount of dollars per month or only on certain things or this can be anything through the Capital One travel portal. Again, that annual fee is 3.95 So this 300 credit just brings that all the way down to an annual fee of 95 dollars.

So just about off the bat with that too. Amazing! Now, unlike the 300 Chase Sapphire Reserve credit, you cannot use it anywhere again. you are a little restricted as far as using it. through the Capital One portal, it's still relatively easy to use and you should definitely be taking advantage of this.

If you do not take advantage of this, it's no point of having this card. Now the downside to using the Capital One portal to get this credit is you know hotel chains won't recognize this. So if you have you know Elite status you know with let's just say you have Hilton gold or Hilton Diamond Well that stayed the stage you know won't count towards your status, they won't recognize it. You won't get any you know, complimentary upgrades or anything like that if you do have status.

but again, it's still 300 put in your pocket every year. The next thing is going to be Anniversary Bonus miles. Okay, so you get 10 000 Capital One miles every year your card renews. So not only do you get a 300 annual Travel credit, you also get a ten thousand dollar Capital One miles anniversary bonus.

So all in all, you're looking at 300 annual Travel credit and then about a hundred dollars. One simple point for those 10 000 anniversary miles. So we add 300 and 100. That's 400 and you minus that by 3.95 you're coming out every year.

Just off of those two alone: Five dollars. So with that being said, as long as you're using this card, you're never going to lose money. You'll at least always gain five dollars per year for keeping this card in your pocket. This card also comes with global entry TSA Pre-track of a hundred dollars.

It's that hundred dollar credit. Now this is only for the primary user, so the authorized users on this card do not get this back. But you do get a hundred dollars every four years to use towards Global Entry TSA Pre-track which if you're traveling right now especially, is a must-have for any traveler, especially if you're coming out of major hubs. I'm here in Atlanta Big busy Hub if you're in LAX if you're in New York Detroit And this is actually really honestly anywhere right now, Travel is at an all-time high.

so if you're going to have a premium travel card, definitely want to have this perk again. It renews every year so you're not paying for that. It's a hundred dollars, so every four years you can add that to your value as well. you're getting an additional hundred dollars in value every four years from keeping this card in your pocket.

Lounge Access: One of my favorite things to have when in the airport. Luxury: VIP Sometimes you can get a massage, showers, definitely could have a nice comfortable nap with some food. Get some free beverages. All that good stuff.

So with the Capital One Venture X credit cards, you get access to Priority Pass and then you also get plasma premium lounges as well. Now with the Capital One lounges and the Plaza Premium lounges, you do get to get in there for free with up to two guests, which right now with everything going on with restrictions as far as getting into certain lounges, this is really helpful. This is really unique to this car. We all know about Priority Pass.

It's up to 1300 airport lounges worldwide and the Venture X cart lets you and all guests traveling with you to get into these lounges free of charge which is an amazing perk. I Don't know about you guys, but there are certain circumstances where you'll have to rent a car. I've actually been doing that recently, going back home to see family and stuff which you know I Never thought of before, but as you're traveling more, it definitely helps. So this car part also gives you Hertz President Circle which is the top-notch tune that you can have with Hertz I Love Hertz President Circle I Typically get a Tesla Model 3 and I'll pay for the regular price and then once I get there they'll upgrade me to if it.

obviously it has to be available, but you can get that next class upgrade so it's an amazing perk to have. You also can arrive late I believe a few hours without being penalized and you also earn 10 miles per dollar on our car rental bookings through the Capital One portal. Now this is also really unique as well. Some credit cards are different when it comes to Priority passing things like that.

Authorized user accounts are free which is amazing. Some cars like the American Express Platinum Card. For certain authorized users you do have to pay. this one is completely free for the Capital One Venture X card.

They get their own priority pass access and there and they also get access to Capital One lounges and Plaza premium lounges with or without you there and for their guests as well. So it's really like they have their own card. They also get complimentary Hurts President Circle Two So again, you have your own. They have their own.

They don't have to have a booking under your name will be with you to get these perks. Keep in mind though, they don't get some of them. So like the 10 000 anniversary bonus miles, you only get that per one account so they don't get additional. Authorized users do not authorize users do not get an additional 10 000 miles for having the card, nor do they get TSA or Global Entry which is unique because some credit cards do offer that for authorized users so just keep that in mind as well.

You also get trip cancellation and Interruption Insurance lost luggage reimbursement, cell phone protection, primary rental car insurance, not secondary purchase, extended warranty and return protection in a normal year. So let's say year two and forward. If you have the 300 travel credit, the 10 000 Capital One miles which is about a hundred dollars. So that's four hundred dollars.

and then every four years you get a 100 TSA Global Entry Credit. Let's divide that by four and just make that 25. Okay, so it's 425 five dollars per year that you're going to get from this card if you just do the basic things. So on a normal calendar year from just doing those basic things, you're going to at least be profiting 30 on value.

Who is this card for this card is for someone who likes Simplicity Maybe someone who just likes to book everything through One credit card through one portal. The Capital One portal. They like to have all their miles there, you know? And you travel a lot. If you don't travel a lot or travel at all throughout the year, this car is not worth it.

I Definitely recommend this card. I Would definitely say this is a keeper. Card has a lot of good values. It's a premium travel credit card, but it doesn't have those Hefty Annual fees like the Chase Sapphire Reserve at 550 or the American Express at 6.95 And we're going to talk about this in another video.
