The first book is The magic of thinking big! By Dr David Schwartz. This book helped me open up my mind and think much bigger, act bigger and live a bigger life! You know when we stop ourselves from doing things because we feel we aren’t good enough, maybe we feel we don’t have the intelligence, the willpower or even the good looks. This book gives some really great strategies to overcome this.
One book that has been really impactful in my life is this one: How to win friends and influence people by dale Carnegie. There are always times in your life that you need to make a good impression for example in a job interview or with your new girlfriends dad.
I wanted to include a book by Robert Kiosaki on this list, you may have already heard about his most famous one, Rich Dad poor dad. But you may not have heard about his other book: The Cashflow Quadrant. Which I personally prefer. The basic idea behind the book is about the different ways you are able to earn money and create long term wealth. For example you have: Working for someone else, being self employed, owning a business and being an investor.
This book really put into words what I had been thinking for over 20 years, it’s called: Start With Why by Simon Sinek. In order to get that promotion , get your dream job , start your own business or get the partner of your dreams you need to have great leadership skills.
This may be a small one but its extremely powerful, its called The little book of common sense investing. In this little book lays a very simple strategy that any one can use and consistently grow your money with the stock market. This book is written by John C. Bogle the founder of Vangard index funds which is the investment website I am continually going on about in many of my videos
I recommend everyone in their life reads a negotiation book the sooner the better, my favourite is Never Split the difference by Chris Voss. Chris is a former FBI negotiator who in every chapter reveals stories of how is has been able to talk down and defuse a hostage situation. Every time you go in to your boss and ask for a pay rise, every time you ask your parents to go out partying, buying a new car, Its all about being able to negotiate in a way that doesn’t rely on you compromising or splitting the difference.
This one was the first physical audio book that I purchased, its called Disrupt Yourself by Jay Samit. This book will get you into the mind set you will need to navigate the rapidly changing world. Its all about not wasting all your energies fighting change when you could be embracing disruption to the norm and making great strides into the future, creating lasting wealth!

Hi guys it's mark today, i want to share with you the seven books that have really changed my life and helped me become a millionaire and by using the knowledge in these books. There is absolutely no reason why you can't become successful and also very wealthy. So i'm going to count down the old classic books to the new breakout hits so that you get my favorite books. One of them was published over 70 years ago and i'm only 52.
at school. I was the dyslexic kid and i struggled to even read a single book. I had to force myself to read because i knew reading was going to be so important. Even after forcing myself to read, i used to struggle to remember what i'd actually read in the first place, but for some reason these books have really stuck in my mind, and that proves how good these seven books actually are for all those people.
That, like me and aren't the fastest readers i'll leave a link in the description where you can pick up two free audio books. Even if you cancel you can still keep the book so i'll leave the link down there and if you want to take up the offer it's up to you. The first book is the magic of thinking big by dr david schwartz. This book really helped me open.
My mind and think much bigger and act bigger and you know what it even helped me live. A bigger life i mean just imagine, you've got two people, one has a huge aspiration and one thinks much smaller. Who are you going to bet your money on you're? Going to put your money on a guy that thinks big. Of course, even at school i'd proudly announce that one day i would be a millionaire and the teachers and the other kids would just laugh and they'd say if you're not good enough for university, then you're.
Never going to make it to a millionaire when i was first thinking about quitting my job and setting up my own business, i felt like i wasn't really prepared, and there was so much i didn't know, but this book also really helped me realize that i need To just take action, the truth is the perfect moment would never ever come and the longer i waited the more scared i would become. So if you feel you need to make a big change in your thinking and your environment, then this is a great book to read or listen to. Of course, one book that's been really impactful on my life. Is this one how to win friends and influence people by dale carnegie? There are always times in your life that you need to make a good impression, for example, a job interview or with your new girlfriend's dad or when trying to communicate to a business that you want to work with, and you don't even speak the same language.
I'm naturally quite a shy person and when i was younger i was even more so i used to hate those first awkward conversations and also standing up in class and having to read out loud. But when i read this book, it really helped me overcome this. If you want to be successful, then a really important step to achieve along the way is to be able to get on with people. As they say, your network is your net worth the more people you're able to become friends with the more people that will be able to help you out along the way. A lot of my success can be drilled down to the people. I know i even use the principles in this book to make friends with people in the far east that now make my products in their factories. This book isn't about hypnotizing people into liking. You it's just a lot of powerful practical advice that many successful people have used during their lives, including former presidents, and you know what, if it's good enough for abraham lincoln, then it's certainly good enough.
For me. I wanted to include a book by robert kiyosaki on this list. You may have already heard about his most famous one rich, dad poor dad, but you may not have heard about his other book. The cash flow quadrant, which i personally prefer if you've ever wanted to be able to sip drinks on a tropical island and never have to worry about money or work ever again, then this could be the book for you.
Basic idea about this book is the different ways that you're able to earn money and create long-term wealth. For example, you have working for someone else being self-employed, owning a business and being an investor. He shows this all in his diagram. I like this way of looking at it as it's kind of like a video game with different levels, the end game being business owners and investors.
When i read this book, the first time it opened my eyes up so much, i had to read it again. I was already running my own business. Well, i thought i was running my own business, but it helped me see that i was actually focusing too much on the wrong areas and not fully letting my money truly build the wealth for me. So, whatever stage you are in your life, this will help you see the bigger picture and how you can escape the rat race and build your wealth.
This next book really put into words what i've been thinking for over 20 years. It's called start with hitting that, like button, it's all about how the simple act of pressing the like button helps the algorithm to find my videos, i'm only kidding, but i would appreciate the like. The real title is start with why by simon sinek. Just think about this, elon musk could not have built tesla or spacex without other people's help.
He needed to be the driving force to inspire others to achieve his dreams. The amazing thing is that spacex workers could probably earn a lot more working for nasa, but they prefer to work for elon musk, because he is a great leader with exceptional vision. Maybe you don't want to be the next elon musk, but in order to get that next promotion or get your dream job start your own business or get the partner of your dreams. You need to have great leadership skills.
This book really spoke to me because it looks everything from an opposite way to everyone else. Most people start with what they may even progress to how, but it's not often that people really ask why, during my life, the successful people that i have met have all shared, a common trait of being able to inspire and motivate others. This is what really sets apart normal people from successful people. When i was trying to inspire you to read this book, i didn't try to picture you the revolutionary ideas that simon has. I instead focused on the why the direct benefits to you and your life, and you know what the reason i know it's right for you is because you're subscribed to my channel. This tells me that you want more from life. This may be a small one, but it's extremely powerful and it's called the little book of common sense. Investing.
You may be confused about the stock market as there are always people coming at you with the best ways to invest on youtube and on tick tock. Is it forex? Is it bitcoin how about individual stocks often it can be hard to invest because you're not sure which companies to invest in and which are going to give you the best returns. You end up not investing at all, but what, if i was to tell you that in this little book, lays a very, very simple strategy that anyone can use and consistently grow your money with the stock market. This may sound too good to be true.
You might even think i'm a bit crazy, but this book is written by john c bogle, the founder of vanguard index funds, which is the investment website i'm constantly banging on about in many of my videos and what's more, i don't even get paid for it. That's how you know it's so good. This little book helped me shift my investing to a much longer term strategy beforehand. I was just guessing at individual stock investments which luckily paid off for me at the time, but that's not the case for everyone, and it can be very frightening watching your investments on a daily basis.
I actually wish this book had been around when i was younger. As long term, my money would have grown at a much faster rate. I recommend everyone in their life reads a negotiation book and the sooner you do, the better. My favorite is never split the difference by chris voss.
Now, chris is a former fbi negotiator who, in every chapter, reveals stories of how he was able to talk down and defuse a hostage situation. Now you may not need to be able to talk down a hostage situation, but life is a negotiation. Every time you go into your boss and ask for a pay rise every time you ask your parents to go out for a partying session or even buying a new car, it's all about being able to negotiate in a way that doesn't rely on you compromising or Splitting the difference that may sound strange, but when chris fosse is in a hostage situation, he can't say i'll have two and you keep two and he also can't offer the money. So the art of great negotiation is to get exactly what he wants. I was offered over a million dollars worth of goods for a quarter of a million and with the lessons i learned, i was able to negotiate it down to less than a hundred thousand dollars. So it's a win-win. You've got to learn to negotiate. So this is definitely a great read with a mixture of high-stakes scenarios and real actionable advice.
There is no way this book cannot change your life for the better. This was the first physical audio book that i've purchased. It's called disrupt yourself by jay sammich. I'd already read this book, but by listening to an audio, i was able to get all those extra nuggets of information that you may not have gotten.
Otherwise, our society really isn't as predictable as it once was. Things like viruses can change the landscape of the world. In just a few months, this means you can't just learn one set of skills. Nowadays this may have been the case when i was leaving school, but now we're in a much faster moving world.
So if you would like to become wealthy and also successful, you need to be able to think out of the box actually to be fair, you need to break the box entirely as a business owner. I've always had to pivot and adapt to the changing times to stay ahead of the curve. Basically, the internet came along and it could have just wiped us out. Had i not embraced it, and you know what, by embracing the change, it became a great asset to my company.
This book can get you into the mindset. You will need to navigate the rapidly changing world. It's all about not wasting all of your energies and fighting change when you could be embracing the disruption to the norm and making great strides into the future, creating lasting wealth for you, which books are you going to choose and don't tell me, you haven't, got the Time to read them because remember i'm giving you two free, audible books, link in the description, so i'll leave the next video here for you guys, but don't click on it. Just yet don't forget to like and subscribe, and if you want to be notified of the next videos ring that old, bell and i'll see you on the other side.
I learned a lot of basics from the book "elements of investing" when i was 24 years old, glad i borrowed that book from the library. Motivated me to open a ROTH IRA account right away and start contributing consistently into it, many years later and it is paying off well. I think I'll read the little book of common sense investing to reinforce that learning and never split the difference because I grew up with a very aggressive negotiation culture in my home country and now i've immigrated I haven't found the balance so i tend to avoid negotiating.
Just bought a copy of Cash Flow Quadrant of EBay looking fwd to reading the follow up to Rich Dad Poor Dad. Thanks.
Books suggested by Mark :-
1. "Magic of Thinking Big" by Dr. David Schwartz
2. "How To Win Friends and Influence People" by Dale Carnegie
3. "Rich Dad's Cashflow Quadrant" by Robert Kiyosaki
4. "Start With Why" by Simon Sinek
5. "The little Book of Common Sense Investing" by John C. Bogle
6. "Never Split the Difference" by Chriss voss
7. "Disrupt yourself" by Jay Samit
Hi Mark. Big fan of your videos. The only problem with your selection of Robert Kiyosaki's book is that he is a controversial figure and his books are often abused by MLM organizations. Agree with the importance of residual income, just not with how the book actively promotes MLM.
That being said How to Win Friends and Influence People is a top notch self help book with good historical context and examples. Safe to say all of Dale Carnegie's works are.
Thank you for your videos.
Mark, I dont know if you'll see this. But, you have had one of the biggest influences on my life. And changed it forever. I will never be able to repay the countless amounts of priceless information you have given me. So thank you! I will always pass on your knowledge to as many people as I can, and I will always recommend you!
Thanks for some great and insightful reads! They definately opened my eyes. Keep up the awesome videos 🙂
Cheers
I had to laugh, I clicked on this video as I was curious to see the books you recommend and the first book is one I'm half way through at the moment 😁
At least I'm on the right track!
I whole heartedly respect this gentleman. Thank you for all the valuable information.

I think its funny how this video only has 46,000 view at the time of me typing this. Goes to show how motivated people reach out for advice! p.s. I was recommended a book called "The Richest Man in Babylon", very much worth the read/listen
Hi mark I will be sure to order some books but how and what should I do to start a business with nothing
i just got 2 book call i will teach you to be rich (ramit sethi) and other book is rich dad poor dad (robert t.kiyosaki)
Robert Kyosaki is an idiot. People who know real estate know Kyosaki doesn't know a damn thing about what he's talking about. He made his money selling books and courses.
Hi Mark, what are your opinions on Peter Lynchs books? I was surprised to see him missing from this list.
I've heard he's got loads of great books on investing. Thanks!
Reading these books will not help you with anything if you are deeply depressed. Also depends on what is your MBTI personality type and what are your main cognitive functions. If you are an intuitive feeler you don't need to read the first book about influencing people because all that knowledge you have naturally in your brain and you are master in dealing with people. As an ENFJ I've read at least 30 books on business in a year and a half time and I've builder absolutely nothing because of my type of brain. Reading can be actually great procrastination in your life while you brainwashing yourself that you are becoming smarter. You don't need to read anything at all. You must take an action and learn on the go. If you are an INFJ, ENFJ, INFP, ENFP ..good luck with building anything at all. Certain types of brains are very unfriendly to business thinking as they are very idealistic oriented. No matter what.
The Richest Man in Babylon – by George S. Clason completely revolutionized my mindset on finances. I highly recommend.
Changing your mindset is huge! I listened to «The Magic Of Thinking Big» and «Never Split The Difference» and decided to ask my boss for a raise, and with my new mindset and skills learned from the books, I got it!
I can’t thank you enough! I hope sharing these videos on my Facebook helps! Your great!
I recently purchased The 48 laws of Power, Self-Discipline, and The art of not giving a fuck. Can’t wait for them to arrive.
I don't often comment to thank but you deserve it. Subscribed for a while and learned tons from your videos. My father hasn't been around for a while and I live in a different country from my brother and even grandparents so I don't get to learn about life and money in general from an experienced guardian figure and listening to you every day when going to sleep makes me feel really thankful. I'm so glad I found your channel. Thank you so much ❤️
Hey mark love your videos and your tips on finance but i really want to learn passive income please let me know any big tips you have 👍😁
Hello Mark. I am enjoying your videos! I noticed in several of your vids that "Cashflow Quadrant" and its ideas were mentioned prominently. Have you ever played the Cashflow game online or IRL? If so, do you think the game is a good way to get a handle on Investing concepts?
Hi mark, I have a couple of questions I am working on starting a business at 18 and would love to hear any advice you could give me I don’t want to be stuck working for someone because I would rather work for my self I’m going to college right now to learn how to do some accounting and I’m really finding that I could just buy these textbooks myself and learn everything myself and reading irs tax laws. Also one question I’ve been seeing a lot about how rich dad poor dad is a scam even tho I agree with the topics in the books I don’t know what to believe at this point but I’ve been listening to a lot of audio books about business and investing and started a Roth IRA about 3 months ago and have make some money on it your advice has helped me a lot. If you could get back to me that would be great thanks
I went from watching minecraft daily to watching this guy. Hopefully I can force myself to read a book in the future. This is valuable content.
Hi Mark, I'd like to add a book that started my journey to where I'm at today… The richest man in Babylon.
Just started investing last week. Really appreciate these videos so i hit the sub button 👍. Just ordered all the books in this video cost me $112 on amazon and ill get most of them on the 19 looking forward to their arrival.
hey mark, I hope you're doing fine. I'm 15 years old and I want to learn more about investing and I'm really curious about which book I should start reading first. it would help me a lot if you can make me a list
If I were 18,I would have made 2x my amount by now 😪 also is their anyway to invest under 18?
Your videos are the only ones that I’m going to be watching for financial freedom and high grossing wealth for the whole year mark. I’m turning 22 this year and have big dreams that will come true! I work a full time job and stream video games in the evenings. I will be financially free! It’s all about the mindset! Thank you for your videos
Hi Mark, would you recommend the original how to win friends and influence people, or the more recent how to win friends and influence people in the digital age?
