I Just bought a wrecked McLaren and it did not go according to plan. Let me show you exactly what I just bought. So this is sitting in our Hangar and we're gonna be heading on over right now to a shop to get a quote if this thing can actually even be fixed not only cosmetically, but I Want to take you guys along the car on what bothers me about it. So it didn't look like this in pictures, but as you guys could see, if you get a straight shot you can see that the overall gap on these panels are just way too big.

You can see that this front bumper was not put on properly this bottom. Fender Pretty much hanging on by thread because right on over here again something that was not installed properly. I Don't know if it's missing some Plastics here, but I would like to fix that and let me see if I can open it. Let me go ahead and grab the keys and I'm going to show you guys inside about the worst part of this car and that's some of the mechanical wishes that it has.

We actually haven't turned it on in about a week or two. Let me go ahead and show you guys very quickly, so step on the brakes. It sounds fine until you look at the dashboard and then you get the check engine light here on the top right and check this out. As you guys can see, the first thing that it says is transmission fault.

the second thing that we see is steering column position fault. Don't even know what that means and it continues to go back and forth between those two. So everything's said and done. We need to take it to a shop to figure out what is going on with this.

McLaren So let's go ahead and head on over to Mesa and get an inspection done to see how much this thing is going to cost them. Jake Driving the Lambo I'm in the McLaren obviously trying to be very very safe, but you guys could see the two faults that keep coming up: steering column position full and transmission fall. I am praying that it's not too expensive to fix it. They put literally a Velcro like I Don't know if this is where the airbags.

everything is good. the tires look good to me. the steering isn't horrible. like does it move, maybe a little bit.

What was that? It's got a tweeter right there. Yeah, yeah, in your opinion, is it worse or better than what you thought worse really. Oh, but it's not that bad. I mean it's a lot worse.

Okay, the check engine lights on too. Yeah, the transmission fall to this steering. okay my buddy's uh, computer or take it to um plan I Gotta I'm really good and good with those guys. Okay, so it wasn't me I didn't do it Jesus Christ Let's see.

yep it's some. oh it's coming up from up here so what would that be? The radiator right there? Is that the radiator? Yeah, it starts leaking. Did you press the leak? Did you press the leak button? I think I did That's supposed to be one piece? Yeah, like this. Yeah, it's not supposed to be cracked like that.

No. or is that for AC NE No, it's cool. I've never seen the AC go that much. No, it's coolant for sure.

so we're gonna see if you can see where it's leaking from under there. We got a drip right in that Center I Don't know if you can see but we gotta figure out what that is from and caused by and you can see. it's a little wet right here too in the the door jamb area. Don't know what that is all about, but we're gonna figure it out.

Foreign. probably. like you said, if you put any, did you guys put a new battery in it? No, there's a kid right here. Sounds good when it starts like normal and it goes up to 197 which was pretty normal for me.

All right. give us a little update of what we're doing right now. All right. So Paul said that he can take care of all the Cosmetic stuff which obviously visually I want it to look good.

My big concern is anything mechanical so it still has a transmission fault. It has a steering ball and when we brought it here it started leaking fluid so we're gonna head on over to McLaren and Scottsdale get a quote on or really just get this thing scanned, have a better understanding of what's going on. I'm praying that it's something just like a a sensor is off and hopefully nothing actually mechanically wrong with the car. So we'll have to go and see Ricky's inside.

The McLaren is right there on the other side waiting for this garage doors to open. We're here at: McLaren Scottsdale We're gonna check out what cars they have inside and also see what they can do to help us get that thing running a little bit better. When I hit like a dip or like cracks like I do feel a lot of feedback that I did not feel when I had a five seven. Yes! so the Cosmetic thing is like I know we could.

He's gonna go check out the vehicle. make sure that he checks out those two faults: steering and uh, transmission. The biggest concern, no question is the transmission. for me.

there's two main focuses: the transmission fall and the steering fault. so hopefully it's nothing big. He it was explaining to me the whole thing that was going on with the steering fault. He says it's normally a sensor, but it wasn't even working.

Uh, so hopefully they're easy fixes. hopefully they're cheap fixes and then we can get it back, work on the cosmetics, and then have it on the road. It looks like such a fun car, but it just sucks that it's not running properly just yet. But I'll keep you guys up to date And this wraps up part one of our McLaren build.
