We all like to hear that a book shouldn’t be judged by its cover, but in reality this isn’t always the case - quick assumptions are often made without a second thought. Here’s how you can use that to your advantage. Enjoy! Snapchat/Instagram: GPStephan
What I’ve found is that it really helps to match whatever it is that you do. It helps to be congruent with it. If something doesn’t add up between how you present yourself and what you do, people get suspicious. People see the disconnect and immediately hesitate, because they feel you’re not living up to what you’re presenting. You’re selling a $10,000 program on making millions of dollars? You bet you can’t show yourself driving around a 1989 Honda Accord while living in a studio apartment in Lancaster. People like to see that you live what you preach.
Even how you dress can make an impact. Again, designer clothes don’t matter - but instead of wearing something oversized that doesn’t fit, where people may make quick judgements that you’re unorganized and don’t pay attention to detail, make sure to wear clothes that fit your physique, are clean, and ironed. That’s it.
The details matter - I’ve found socks are an easy detail that many people notice and most people miss. Seriously, a good pair of colorful socks go a long way. Even a clean haircut and shave makes a huge difference. Some other things you can do - clip your nails, brush your teeth, wear cologne. Little things that people notice that don’t cost much, if anything.
But it’s not entirely physical . The thing is, the other half is attitude. It’s believing what you do. You do emulate what you’re doing?
Figure out what you want and then tailor your image to become what you want to be. Dress for success. And again, it doesn’t need to be too superficial. Focus on what you have control over - how you dress, good hygiene, and how to present yourself, and creating the image that matches the person. Work on speaking if it’s holding you back, work on being more assertive if you’re not getting what you want, it’s about constantly improving yourself and slowly becoming the person you’ve always envisioned yourself being. And realize that image sometimes plays a role in this and use that to your advantage.

Dear god I shouldn’t of got tattoos
Such a great video, you should remake this for newer audiences so they see it
Dude got big ass biceps wtfffff 🔥🔥🔥🔥
But is the stupid car in the background for real?
Would you say it's possible that real estate clients might not like to see you in a fancy car and suit? Because it gives the impression that you take too much from them when closing?
Is it best to cover up tattoos? Such as arm tats? And great video! I saved the whole playlist I love it
I really needed to hear this, thank you Graham!
“SunCor Financial MPI review” ""
3 years later and here I am going into real estate. Thanks for the motivation
To those mentioning the classic millionaire nextdoor outfit of Tshirt, jeans, sweats, etc. I would consider that those people likely dressed up (during face-to-face interactions) when they were younger and were still growing in their careers in order to become the Tshirt men & women they are today.
Hey Graham, I know this is an old video, and you probably wan't respond, but what do you think about showing up on a very clean white 2011 Triumph Speed Triple? It's a motorcycle, and triumph is typically seen as a premium brand
I think I'm your doppelganger, Graham. My name Graham I'm not that tall. We have the same mindset as well. I don't spend money on things I don't need to spend money on. The only difference is I'm 13. Our relatives are the same. We both have parents with college degrees and are well paid. I invested in bitcoin and I now have 500$ and I might buy index stocks and when I grow up I want to be a real estate agent. Tell me how I'm not you in the past. The only thing I think is different is I'm going to get good grades in high school and I already know what my future job is.
First impressions are everything! Have you ever ordered your coffee online to save money?
Wonder how come Steve Jobs dressed so basic or the founder of Facebook wears jeans and a shirt everyday. What about mark cuban who is usually seen in jeans and a shirt. I think it comes down to where you currently are and who needs who more. If you're in the power position then why would I care about impressing the next person when it's them that wants something from me? If anything they can put on their sunday's best for my benefit. Not the other way around.
Disagree about the socks thing. Men shouldn't worry about having colorful socks. Also I think I read somewhere that super rich people dress pretty plainly because they want to save the mental energy they would expand on making certain choices and use it towards more productive things. it really depends on the person and who you're dealing with. If you're trying to sell a multi-million dollar property to rich people, then yeah you'd want to be in a suit and tie. If you're trying to sell a property to someone who is lower middle class they might be intimidated if you showed up in a suit and if you go lower a lot of people from those backgrounds have been programmed to not trust guys in business suits. You just have to know your audience I guess.
Depends on who you're trying to impress and why. If you're in a certain position than people should be trying to impress you and not the other way around.
Where do you get your clothes? I don’t wanna spend a ton on casual clothes but don’t wanna buy junk that will be bad in a couple months
So true
Was hanging on to every word until you got to the crazy socks, clip nails and shave face …Shout-out to all the LADIES who appreciate your advice as well, man!!! Haha keep up the good work.
Where did you get this yellow cardigan?
Do you wash your own car or do you take it to the car wash?
Thanks for this video, it's a wake up for me.
My first car was a 2000 model Honda Civic , that was 19 years ago I was actually proud of it, haha. I guess it was brand new and a higher spec model so it wasn't too bad but looking back now I cringe :(.
FIT IS KING!!!!
It don’t need to be tight it just needs to fit so see a Taylor
No homo but my boy graham was looking good in every outfit 🔥🔥
It looks weird that your tie is crooked. Good videos though
I definitely fall victim to snap judgments because of all of my tattoos.
Graham, I'm curious, do you think women need to wear makeup in a professional setting to be taken seriously? I'm deff hygienic and dress nicely but sometimes I don't want to wear makeup because I just don't like the feel on my skin
I swear YouTube’s video suggestions are better than a Magic 8 ball 🎱. This is absolute gold. 💯 Congruency is definitely the key to establishing an image or brand inline with your personal values. There are so many sleazy, “get rich quick” YouTubers online using girls as clickbait, and that nonsense just doesn’t get high quality viewers or loyal customers. It just turns the comment section of those videos into trash. Thank goodness there are still good guys online who want to genuinely help people without all the shortsighted online gimmicks. 🧐👏
First time to see you in suite Graham!
It's was great btw 😀
