What is short selling and how do you do it? Short selling a stock is when a trader borrows shares from a broker and immediately sells them with the expectation that the share price will fall shortly after. If it does, the trader can buy the shares back at the lower price, return them to the broker, and keep the difference, minus any loan interest, as profit.

I have no experience really shorting or trading options. So, to short a stock like SMCI in this scenario would you buy a put option? If, so is there a simple way to do it on the Webull platform Ricky is using? I use it too.
great content like always
Risk reward on smci it moves fast and can squeeze to wipe the shorts out risk mgmt is key I agree smci is not worth where itโs at but it can be irrational longer than ones liquidity
Thank you
I will be forever grateful to you, you changed my whole life and I will continue to preach on your behalf for the whole world to hear you saved me from huge financial debt with just a small investment, thank you Jenifer Jones
You could also say you missed out on the 270% jump up. Or the 1000% over the past year and a half. Glad you made money, it did the same thing as NVDA which also pulled back. Is NVDA a crap company? You can short any good company when it gets over extended. Investors last traders come and go
Much Love young man.
horrible idea. most of your fans still and will straggle to become a profitable traders. fact is fact that 97% of those who try to stock trade will lose their money. another fact is shorting the stock is much riskier than traditional "going long: buy stock, wait for it to increase in price, sell for profit…". i do understand that seeing one of the best traders there is posting 50k, 60k, 30 k profits from shorting creates an interest to try… guys: learn how to walk, without breaking legs, before running… best to all
Curious what positions you took on that short for the 63k win
People get way to emotional over trading! Got to take the emotions out especially when your option trading! Yes, stocks are meant to go up, but they come down as well, so why not take advantage of both ways. Share holders, companies, Market Movers do it all the time. If trading was only meant to go up then everyone will be rich! Get out your feelings peeps, and if you don't like the content Ricky provides then move around. I don't agree with everything he says or a lot of what these guru's say, but one thing they do bring is education and the reasoning behind why they do what they do regardless we agree or not. Let's discuss not hate! I feel that Ricky has to always confront people in his videos now more than actually educating. Don't loose yourself brother! Continue to do what you do. You made 58k shortening SMCI and I made 500 bucks lol. Let's go!
Nice timing get some sleep
Bag hold ๐
Your ๐ค sounds good.

Thx for info !
Great information on your reason and thinking for shorting SMCI and how you go about entering and exiting your trade.
Another excellent informative video Ricky. I have been watching you on LPP and will try shorting when I see a proper setup. Thanks for giving back the knowledge for all that youโve learned. I appreciate it and I know others do to.
Bro brokar app nam..?
Need to get a margin account I guess
I MADE PLENTY MONEY ON SMCI DAY TRADING IT. COULD HAVE MADE MORE FOR REAL HAD I SHORTED SMCI. I WILL TRY SHORTING IT NEXT WEEK BUT IM KILLING ON THE UP.
Unless you're speaking solely from the perspective of trading, I personally wouldn't blanketly suggest that SMCI is a "BS company or crap company" as they offer demonstrable economic and technological value that no other company in the space is doing as well as them. You can certainly make the case for it being overvalued in the market and a short opportunity at current trading price, however. Just don't shit on a whole organization of human beings that have ambitions to advance technological progress.
Do you have a tutorial on how you short within the tool? Not just picking the stock, entry and exit? Do you use options? What is your short tool?
Great lesson and comments!!!
I'm watching LPP videos and this video is way better than expected. I wonder which point was your entering point of short yesterday. And what makes you think this is the time. Thank you Ricky !
