These are my goals for 2018 and how I recommend setting and planning your goals going forward to the new year. Enjoy! Feel free to add me on Snapchat / Instagram: GPStephan
You need a goal if you want to achieve something. It isn’t going to happen out of nowhere. It isn’t just going to fall in your lap. You need to want something, and you need to have a REASON to want it. You can’t just aimlessly go around expecting things to happen without a purpose. This is why it’s so important to have a set a goal for yourself, something you can measure.
When you make a goal and you put it out there, you subconsciously hold yourself responsible to that goal. By writing it down and speaking it, you’re setting the motions in place to actually make it a reality.
Having a REASON behind something really helps solidify it into having a purpose. Without a purpose and emotion behind it, having a goal is useless. You need to have a reason WHY you want something. Otherwise it’s just a material thing that’s easy to let go. So with your goals, really think about WHY you want them and why it’s important to you. This will help make it much more “real.”
My realization this year is that I’ve set my goals too low and I’ve been holding myself back for many, many years. Took a lot to recognize that. I’ve always set these goals that were realistic that I felt I’d be able to hit if I pushed myself. And every single year I’ve exceeded every single goal I’ve set. But these were never crazy goals…And then I realized I was the one limiting myself to what I could accomplish. Even though I thought I had gotten rid of my all of my limiting beliefs, deep down I didn’t think I could do better than a certain amount. And deep down I didn’t want to not hit a goal I’ve set for myself and let myself down. So this year, I’m trying something different. I’m going to go much, much higher with my goals because I’ve underestimated myself every single year. And I suggest you do the same.
Here are my 2018 goals:
Have my first seven-figure earning year… $1,000,000
Increase my passive rental income to $10,000 per month by the end of 2018.
To increase my passive rental income, that requires me to buy and renovate another property in 2018. So that’s also on the list.
In terms of YouTube, I’d like to reach 500,000 subscribers and average 2 million views per month.
Reaching $100,000 in ad revenue at that point would also be another goal.
I’d also like to upgrade the Lotus this year, either a Lamborghini Superlaggera or Manual Ferrari F430. But the car is undecided at this point.
In terms of non materialistic goals,
I’d like to setup another reef tank this year.
I’d also like to get my drums set up again.
I’d also like to do at least 10 speaking engagements in 2018.
I’d also like to say yes more often. I’ve been pretty complacent and sometimes become a bit too much of a homebody who doesn’t go out much, so I’d like to put myself out there more often than I have been.
Hit the Realtor top 30 Under 30 award for 2018 🙂
I have a few other personal ones that I’d just prefer not to share with the world, but rest assured I’ve written them down.
A lot of this is just to show that I’ve been selling myself short way too many years and wanting to try to break out of the comfort zone. So I’m setting some loftier goals to see if this can work 🙂
If you want to add on to this, feel free to upload a video and call it “2018 Graham Stephan Goal Challenge” and I’ll subscribe to everyone who posts a video with their goals!

I like watching the old videos and see how much you have improved in video making
Been binge-watching your videos since I started my isolation due to Covid-19 and by far helped me to motivate myself backup. Remind me in 1year time, I'm gonna reach my financial goals. Thanks Graham! 🙂
Nailed every single goal EXCEPT the reef tank.
Epic work, keep it up!
So did he achieve his goal?
Is anyone else other than me still doing this challenge and uploading a video to their channel of “2018 Graham Stephan Goal Challenge”? 😂😂😂 Probably not since I’m just a tiny bit late to the party.
I watch/listen to your videos every day. I’m going to be someone some day. I promise that to myself. Over the past 6 months I’ve nearly doubled my income and cut my spending significantly.
Say yes. when you come to Texas for business. You take a break and we go skydiving.
April 2019 you met all your YouTube goals from this video. Crazy! I'm setting one for 5K subs by the end of 2019, by uploading 3 times a week.
Edit: You also met pretty much every other goal which is awesome! Still looking at an exotic or are you sticking with just the Tesla for now?
I can help you get back into drumming, but it's addictive. 😉
Did you achieve these goals?
So did you end up fulfilling those goals in 2018?
I`d like to know how much of this was accomplished. You should do a follow up video!
I am very curious if you were able to reach this goal and if you hit it before the end of the year? If you didn't hit the goal it would also be nice to know how much you needed to reach it
Could you make a video breaking down your net worth and assets as well as explain your diversification?
Nice way to word it all. Helped me set proper goals. Thinking about why you want something helps a lot
How did it go Graham?
How did it go? Is there a follow up video that I missed? I'm going through the videos backwards (cuz why nah) so I should have seen it. 😀
Would be awesome if you posted an update on how your 2018 went
I know you didn’t get those 500,000 subscribers but congrats on getting over $150,000 extra from YouTube. With that money it’s time to get that upgrade on your car!
now that 2018 is over, you should do a response video to this one to reflect on what you've accomplished !
Congrats Graham 🙇♂️💪🤳
CANADA!!!🤘🤘🤘
Is that what Tim said aboot limiting believes?
Your goals made me have a spasm
So many dont seem to want to succeed. Glad you list the v shirt But i get it
