Like it or not, we’re always negotiating in life. You’re either negotiating on where to eat with your loved ones or negotiating with potential clients to choose you as their real estate agent.
On today’s Tom Ferry Podcast Experience, my guest is Chris Voss, former FBI negotiator, CEO & founder of the Black Swan Group Ltd as well as author of “Never Split the Difference: Negotiating As if Your Life Depended on It.”
Chris shares his experience as the lead international kidnapping negotiator and how it relates to negotiating in the real estate sector.
He provides insightful tips on how to present yourself as the expert agent, how to differentiate between fake and real opportunities, and when to walk away from a good deal with bad people.
I’m also excited to share what you can expect from his keynote for this year’s Success Summit, including how to negotiate with clients and easy-to-use negotiation tactics!

You feel I let you down.
Tom Ferry is a great agent coach, but Just a terrible interviewer…. Maybe it’s the “I’m at least as smart or smarter than you”, but let Voss expand on his ideas brother!
Great insights – loving this book!
can you let chris speak?
I ain’t sleepin!
Deals are funny sometimes. For example, if there is a new car I think I like and want to take a peek under the hood & get some more information… I go to a dealer I know I probably don't want to do business with, so I do not buy on a same day – ever. Its amusing to watch the tag team of salesmen take place when "no" is a settled matter walking in, and I have absolutely zero pressure on the event.
This looks completely staged platitude on platitude. The comments are so unnatural.
These comments are so natural almost like fixed
We already know who you are Tom, next time let the person speak without interruption. Interview would’ve been much better
Being human is where it is at and it was right here thanks to Chriss. So glad that I made this a priority.
Thank you!
How do i start my Mission?
What is My Mission?
this dude is christopher walkens but has a point to his thoughts
How come we always here the Haiti story vs the other 149 negotiation cases by superstar negotiator Chris Voss? Classfied? Not 150?

Interviewer doesn't ask smart questions and kisses the arse. Painful
Tom that was an excellent show! You are a master host. Thank you so much for such a captivating episode!
Tom Ferry, shut up. So annoying.
Thank you so much for sharing this content.
Amazing interview! Came up on my suggestions right after I finished his book! Thank you
He’s phenomenal.
What an awesome interview.
bingo
Tom I hope you learned from all the comments about your skills as an interviewer and improved on them.
i'm reading this book right now LOL>>. Appreciate you sir.
Great Value. Thanks!!!
This video should be part of a drinking game. Every time the host interrupts Chris, you should take a shot. I personally would be on the floor out cold in the first 3 minutes!
Is he really 79 years old?
I think the commenters are a little bit arrogant in themselves to complain that the host made them leave the content. I learned a great tip in the first 5 minutes and didn't even notice the host who is simply acknowledging the guest to show he is keeping attention. This is an FBI agent on a real estate trainer's video. The host is going to interject with how the speaker is relevant to his, and the audience's, industry.
The interviewer doesn’t know how to listen. Very annoying.
Such a fantastic guest … what a shame he was interrupted every millisecond.
I didn’t even know I needed this until I pressed play. Wow!
Nobody:
Tom Ferry: BINGO
