#Netflix #MoneyExplained
Yo, what is going on? You guys welcome back to another video. So in this episode i wanted to go over a netflix documentary that i was recently featured in, but i wanted to share with you guys in this video a little bit behind the scenes. My experience what happened and how maybe one day you guys can also get featured in a documentary as well all right, so i haven't actually watched this documentary, yet only because i wanted to save my raw real reaction before i watched it. The thing is, a lot of people on instagram and social media have been tagging me in the episode, so i've been seeing myself a few times and what i look like - and i actually filmed this back a few months ago, during the height of this pandemic.
When things were really crazy, people were running out of toilet paper and the streets were completely empty, so i remember getting an email and it was like hey uh, i'm with vox and netflix documentary. Do you want to be a part of this? So that was not the only tv appearance request that i got. I actually got requested for two or three different appearances, so one of them was a reality. Tv show that i signed an nda on and they wanted me to fly out to la think of like jersey shore, for like koreans korean americans and it wasn't on the same level as like bling empire.
But it definitely was from what i was hearing on. Pretty significant level, so i ended up turning that down as well, but i ended up going ahead and signing up with this netflix documentary. I had heard that they just found me because of my youtube channel, so it's absolutely crazy. The reach that we're able to get with netflix it was interesting because the way the pandemic was operating during the time, the people over at vox were centered in new york city and they had actually hired some freelancers to come about and help record the segment, and I just want to say man, the vox team, maria everyone who was a part of it were absolutely amazing, so the people who actually shot my scene came into maryland and the guy who did it was actually like a famous documentary, geographic winner.
He he did like the um, japan uh, i don't know man, i don't know the full d. He just did a lot of crazy stuff too, and it was just an honor for me to go through this experience. I remember going to college park, which is a part of maryland where university of maryland lies. They booked out a studio there.
I i pulled up and that's where we did the filming. So i want to watch a little bit of this and hopefully maybe just share with you guys exactly what i was thinking during that time, let's hop into it, okay, so i look mad chubby in this and if you guys can't tell in this video, i actually Had like a gray little sweat stain, so this is uh eight minutes 43 seconds into the video, and let me tell you guys in this interview i was super super nervous because they had like two gigantic cameras: cameras that i've never seen before pulling up. I i wanted to make sure that i didn't make a fool of myself and i actually wasn't sure how netflix wanted to make me look, because they can. They could portray me in any way. They could be like check out this full thinking he can hack. The credit card, so i owe like a big thanks to netflix and vox because they actually made such a good documentary out of this and i'm. I know a lot of people they're reaching out right now because of my feature and they've been telling me hey brian, like i want to learn more about it, and i got all the videos on my channel right now we're more of the crypto scene. You know credit cards are something i'm always going to have a love for except amer, except american american express fix my accounts, so it's nice that they actually used some of the b-roll that i had for my travel footage and i know i'd - be acting a fool.
Sometimes in some of my older videos, so yeah the fact that someone had to sit through all of my content and watch, it kind of makes me feel comfortable because i feel bad for whoever was watching it. Because you know you got to dig through a lot of bijung mess to get to that, but at the same time, definitely just it's honorable to say the least. Okay. So at one point in the netflix documentary i talked about staying at the bellagio completely for free.
This was actually something i was able to do, because there were some moments with bellagio, where, first of all, if you take advantage of caesar's diamond status, which i talked about a long time ago on my channel, where you can status, match your credit cards, you can Sign up for something like the american express platinum card, it'll, give you automatic gold status to say, marriott or it'll. Give you hilton status. You then transfer you, you do something called status matching. You transfer that status over to another institution company, often times it can be.
Like a casino too, which is partnered up with some of these hotels, and you can find yourself getting free hotel benefits, you can stay at these hotels completely for free and it's crazy. These are some of the most valuable videos that i've ever posted, but they always end up performing the worst on my channel. So you got to find it. You got to dig through a lot of my content, but it's out there a step-by-step guide on how to travel hack, essentially for free and stay at these hotels, dang.
The fact that they have my instagram on this document. That's actually pretty crazy. That's really impressive man! The quality is so good. I i dream of being able to make content to this level, dang that netflix.
Thank you for making me not look like a fool. Dang. The graphics are amazing too. Ah they got my credit card binder in there too.
So uh man, the narrator, is so good. So, as you guys know, i have my credit card binder. It's actually somewhere here in my upstairs office, but uh i have about now. I think i have like 15 cards, but in total it's actually way more in that wallet now both of those wallets are fully packed up, and this is with like authorized user cards, uh additional cards that i've accumulated over the years, some cards that i've canceled and Downgraded so actively, it's still about 14 15 now, and i am looking to pick up some additional credit cards soon in the future. Now because i am so late game, i'm looking towards more of the hotel cards like the hilton aspire card. Maybe the marriott bon voy uh, i have the business version, but maybe maybe the boundless or the bull just an added addition to it. But some of the cards that i really really want to pick up is if american express comes out with a upgraded version of the platinum which we heard rumors about before the whole pandemic started and also the jp morgan reserve card. That is also on my list and i'm thinking about giving a couple.
You know some money over to jp morgan assets in order for me to qualify for that, i don't know if it's necessarily worth it with the way american express is treating your boy, i think chase is definitely a good viable option right now, especially during these times. Okay, that's awesome, so they got my spreadsheet in this and were asking me how i organize all of my credit card information. I use notion for that. I actually have not published the template, but i have made videos on youtube going through how much exactly i make per year with my credit card, so even as an example with the american express platinum card, you're, paying anywhere from 500 to close to 600 per year.
In annual fees, i am able to get 2 000, 3. 000. 4, 000 back in rewards with that card, because all the additional benefits that they add so on the top of my head, depending on which platinum card you're talking about because the personal and the business card, they both have very different benefits. With the personal card saks avenue credit, you can also get dell credit, the uber credit.
You can also find yourself getting and maximizing the warranty benefit of your card. So i had an incident earlier this year where i lost one of my airpods. I called them. Amex told them i lost it, boom immediate credit back onto my account for whatever 200 some dollars that it cost and then i went out bought a new pair of airpods and i was good to go.
But there were so many additional benefits that they came out with during the pandemic: five dollar: random, small business credits, a appreciation, credit of 200 random discounts that you would get and and cash back incentives and point incentives. So the list goes on and on on average, if you guys go watch my older video, it's like how much i made from my credit cards in 2020. that video, i believe i made two to four thousand dollars profit on the minimum, not even talking about the Welcome bonuses you get and what that is for any of my newbies is: if you sign up for a new credit card, what you can do is spend x amount of dollars. They'll give you x amount of points. So, with the platinum card, you can get an offer anywhere from 60 000 to even 100 000 points. If you get lucky, depending on the offer that you get that's 600 one to one or a thousand dollars back just by signing up for a credit card who doesn't want a free, a thousand dollars like you're gon na have to work a lot of hours, especially If you're working say a minimum wage job in order to get that same amount, but everyone has access to this for free and that's why the credit card hacker is definitely my label, at least in this episode. Dang dude. They filmed this so well with the transitions and everything man.
That's all i got to say uh yeah. There are two cameras, so the other b-roll camera definitely kicked in just to make sure that the user's audience attention for an episode like this is maintained. But for the most part i am so freaking impressed by their production quality wow, so they're they actually covered a decent amount, that's so cool, so they even have different players so guys um, because of copier and because netflix won't. Let me like screen record this that i believe i i can't go into the full episode and do my reaction.
I'm gon na watch this episode on my down time and see how it comes out, but uh final thoughts right here credit cards if you're just getting into it, there's a lot of potential in order for you to make free money, i believe the cap is really Unlimited because you're always accumulating free points, free money in the lifetime that you use one of these credit cards, but in your first few years, while you're signing up here's, what i always recommend sign up with a starter card. Look at the discover student nick card then go into the chase freedom flex or the chase freedom unlimited, once you're scored. Once your history builds up, then you can consider other tier two cards like the chase. Sapphire preferred the american express gold card, some cards with annual fees, the world a high 95 annual fee, and then you can start moving up the ranks and eventually getting into the platinum car, the business, platinum, the hilton aspire or even the chase, sapphire reserve.
And if you're trying to go god tier level, you can also consider the centurion card or the jp morgan reserve or the palladium. So there's a lot of options for you. If you're just getting started out make sure you watch my older videos, i did a full credit card guide, video too. It's like an hour and a half long video, but you will learn everything that took me years and years to learn now the beauty about all this is that generally one people don't know about it, so people have no idea that you can make money.
In the credit card industry and number two, all this content is free. We're not charging any money for this, and i just want you guys to learn. I want you guys to pretty much just make free money. There are so many ways in this market in order for you to take advantage of things, and hopefully this documentary also touches upon the ins and the outs of how credit card debt can be overwhelming and also the other side of credit cards right. The advantage that banks get to and why they offer so many free rewards, but for people like us, if you, if you somehow got blessed by the youtube, algorithm and you're, watching this video first of all subscribe to this channel, because i love sharing these tips and Tricks for you guys to make more money, but second of all make sure you take action, make sure you actually do something, because this is really important in order to better your financial life. So guys i will have some referral links listed down below in the description they will oftentimes. Give you a better offer. You don't have to take them if you don't want to it's completely okay as well, but i really do appreciate you guys tuning by an episode.
Just like this, the support has been absolutely crazy. On my channel we're almost over at like 700 000 subscribers and the last time i made a credit card video we were, i think, we're under like three four hundred thousand subscribers. So it's absolutely been nuts, but thank you all so much again for tuning by make sure you guys follow me over on twitter and on instagram.
