Very very high commanding individual being struck out in Lebanon A senior commander in Hezbollah's Elite Force was just taken out by Israeli air strikes. This is in addition to numerous other key Iran-backed militant and political group leaders assassinated by Israeli or US forces in the past weeks.

Amidst this, Israel is now talking about potentially expanding its War into Lebanon. This threatens to take the conflict to a whole other level, one that nobody wants to see and one that is Unstoppable. So clearly this guy was a very, very well-connected high ranking, powerful member. Well, as you might have guessed after Israel went and knocked him out well, well, it's complet. Completely pissing off Israel's many, many, many adversaries who are of course already very pissed off and it's stoking a new round of cries and screams begging for escalation and of course, retaliation. Something that nobody here in the west wants to see, and certainly people in that region the everyday civilians don't want to see.

Now, one of the reasons why Wasam Alil was important to Hezbollah is his expertise in military operations. He was a key key component of nearly every Hezbollah attack. Over the last decade, he has been actively involved in planning and executing very military campaigns against Israeli forces from Lebanon. For years, Alto's tactical knowledge and strategic experience had proven to be invaluable Assets in these operations, allowing Hezbollah to successfully defend territory and inflict massive, massive pain on its adversaries.

His Network and connections had been very, very instrumental in allowing him to secure funding and resources for Hezbollah ensuring its continued operations and influence and proposed dominance in the region.

and of course, whatever way you look at it, his death is a massive blow to Hezbollah and it certainly is not going to make tensions die down and you got to remember folks that this strike is. in addition to last week's strike in Beirut on Hamas deputy Chief Alori who was also very very key component and connecting block specifically with him. it was Hezbollah and Hamas with this other guy that just died today. it was all of the players.

But overall, the situation right now is that these two Israeli air strikes in Lebanon are raising a lot of questions as to whether Israel is planning on directly taking its War into Lebanon. For full context, you got to remember that Israel is facing a multi-front war. You have Hamas and Gaza. You have different chapters of Hezb and Lemonon and Syria and of course you have Iran funding a ton of proxies, including the two mentioned, but also others throughout the region.

but Hezbollah is one of the most powerful militant groups, and they've been sending dozens and dozens of rockets into Israel every day and Israel is increasingly talking like they need to go into Lebanon to knock out that Hezbollah threat. Every rocket that Hezbollah sends into Israel is a big threat to Israeli citizens who live there and from Israel's perspective, that can't be allowed to go on as long as Hezbollah is in the north. Well, that's always going to be a massive, massive threat to Israel and similar to how Israel made a campaign to take out Hamas which of course you can argue back and forth how that campaign was if it was moral or not. I'm just trying to State The facts here, but similar to how Israel went in to knock out Hamas in Gaza Well, their speculation and talk as if they're going to do that with Hezbollah in the north.

However, Hezbollah of course is in Lebanon a completely sovereign country which also has a ton of densely populated areas to the south. From Israel's perspective, right now, it fears that if it does not take decisive action now, will the situation in Lebanon could deteriorate even further, posing an even greater risk to its Security in the future. Therefore, Israel right now is trying to weigh the pros and cons of getting into Lebanon right now or having to do it later once Hezbollah kills more of its people down south. Now, the US is extremely opposed to this idea for the simple reason that it could lead to a much much faster war with iron from The Washington Post Quote Us officials are concerned that Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu may see an expanded fight in Lebanon as key to his political survival.

Amid domestic criticism of his government's failure to prevent Hamas's October 7th attack, which killed an estimated 1200 people and resulted in some 240 hostages being taken to Gaza in private conversations, the Administration has warned Israel against a significant escalation in Lebanon if it were to do so. A new secret assessment from the DIA: The Defense Intelligence Agency found that it will be difficult for the IDF to succeed because its military assets and resources would be spread too thin given the conflict in Gaza. Now here's the thing when Israel went into Gaza many, many, many civilian lives were lost and if Israel decides to take this battle into Lebanon, while a lot more are expected to be lost, some 300 to 500,000 in casualties are expected. And there's another problem.

from a US perspective, Israel going into Lebanon means not just fighting Hezbollah but invading a sovereign country who is largely defended by Lebanese Armed Forces which the US funds and trains as a counterbalance to Hezbollah. So Israel invading Lebanon would not be in US geopolitical interest. It would be in the sense that Hezbollah is a US adversary, but it wouldn't be in the sense that the Us already funds A counterbalance to Hezbollah which is controlled by the Lebanese government and Israel has already struck Lebanese soldiers more than 34 times. And if there's a broader Invasion, it's going to be a much much bigger issue.

Meanwhile, Israel is now saying in regards to the Gaza war that it's heading into the next stage from The Wall Street Journal Israeli Defense minister Gallant indicated Israeli forces would be shifting from what he called the intense maneuvering phase of the war toward different types of Special Operations. but he cautioned the next chapter in this conflict will last for a longer time and he stress that Israel wouldn't abandon its goals of destroying Hamas designated as a te organization by the US and others as a fighting force, ending its control of Gaza and freeing the remaining hostages.
