Hey tom ferry, your coach uh, thanks for checking in and watching this quick video we're uh in la jolla, doing the design the decade ahead event, and it is just going off smashingly, i'm here by pal uh. What are we smashing? Are you? Okay? Look at my head today, i'm feeling! Rather you know, i might change my whole company. Just go that. Look.

I don't know yeah so so we're yeah yeah. The person is really liking that so uh. You know we're down here, and the conversation is really about moving people from 1.0 to 2.0 and doing it the seamless way we've had at ian watt, who you may have seen a video with me and him jim marks, talking about making sure that your website converts And we got kind of the man who's in the middle of just the most insane book tour on the planet so always honored to have you here, uh give me a little scoop on who you are what you're doing what you're up to like right now, because It's busy right now: it's busy uh, hey guys. It's gary vaynerchuk uh, author of crush it uh number two new york times best-selling book yeah.

Let's congratulate lost by 300 books to jim cramer, so i'm very upset he's a pal though. So that's all right he's a pal, so i'm devastated but uh in the middle of this insane one-month book tour just two days ago, flew to six different airports in 24 hours called it the hudson hustle tour. You know living and breathing what people are calling social media. It was called web 2.0 yeah, it's gon na be called media, yeah um, just kind of out there preaching the game, changing aspects and why you know it's really funny in a very funny spot.

Everything i believe in. If i listen to somebody else say three years ago, i would have, you know, made fun of for being a artist, because so much has changed and especially within this industry, we're so much built on personal brand and relationship um. I'm really excited that tools, like flip cams and the site that you put this on and when you tweet it out all the stuff that you just did are the tools that are going to bring a much more transparent, much more caring, much more throwback, hard work. Business environment and uh i like that: we're going back to 1940s basics.

Okay! So let's talk about that because i think that's the key distinction, so many people are looking at this stuff and even though you think it's 2040., it's really 1940.. I love that. I love that everyone's in this dialogue, like oh, it's kind of it's techy and i'm like look. No it's relationships at the end of the day, whether you call it social media, new media media, whatever you call it, it's relationships, it's reaching out, connecting sharing.

Being you being who you are and people either like it or they don't if they don't, who cares they weren't gon na? Do this with you anyway? Well, the funny thing is, i care, i'm very sensitive, i'm pleased. No, i really am i get that. I know the next book, i'm writing. I'm thinking about writing.

Contradiction, you're, saying that, because you know me somewhat and i'm very fierce and competitive and of course this is my thing right, an intense yeah and same token. I do care what people think and i think that's the important part, the fact that we can listen to the consumer now and engage them. I mean there's such game-changing branding marketing business things going on right now, they're so big i mean when people like you know: jeff zucker, who's, running nbc, says: media has changed more in the last five years and hasn't last 50 years and he doesn't really - and he Doesn't really know what's going on, then you really know crap is going on yeah, you know, do you know what i mean? So you know i'm talking just like the transition of this isn't about the real radio tv i mean this is this. Is this? Is the world is changing right now and i've been screaming about this since 2006? So for me this feels really really really good.
