Warrior Trading // Ross Cameron // Day Trade Warrior

What's up everyone? All right? Time for another episode of Driving with Ross. Let's get after it all right back on the road. Okay guys. so today we are driving a 2017 Mercedes C63 Amg.

It is a bi-turbo V8 right around 503 horsepower and about 510 515 pound-feet of torque. This car is pretty ridiculous. Now many of you guys know that I, uh, do enjoy myself. Uh, drive in a nice car.

I'm uh, it's kind of one of my hobbies. I I, just, I love cars. I'm a car guy and you know I'm I. I don't think I have to justify it, but um, yeah, I love cars.

So anyways, um, whenever I travel or what, you know I'm out and about. Um, I try to rent a nice car because you know this car. Um, you know it's It's not even a hundred grand, but it's not a cheap car and I I wouldn't buy it and I'll talk about why, But it's not a car that I would actually buy. but it's a fun car to drive so you know I like to rent it.

You know, a couple hundred bucks? rent it for a few days and that sort of gets that need to own a really nice car out of my system until the next trip. So we're here in uh, Malibu, California and driving through the canyon up to, um, I don't know exactly where this goes, but must go somewhere kind of on the western side. So or eastern side. So we're kind of heading over the canyon and back inland a little bit and I figured this would be a great road to drive on because it's got some curves.

it's you know, a little hilly and hopefully this time of day there won't be a lot of traffic at the same time. I got to keep reasonable speed limit don't want to get a ticket, so we're going to try to keep it under a hundred. All right, Under a hundred. So as you guys know, when I, um, go to Las Vegas, when I do things out there, I'll rent, I'll go to the Las Vegas Motor Speedway and, uh, rent those nice cars.

Oh listen to that. It's so nice. It's because I'm not gonna lie, it's it's so nice. It's really amazing.

Um, and the view is incredible as well. I'm gonna put this in Sport Plus mode. So there we go. I don't know how much you guys can hear the exhaust, but it's it's on point.

So when I go to Las Vegas, I'll go to the Motor Speedway and you can do the racing. You can race in in race cars. So I've driven Lamborghinis and Ferraris and Porsche Gt3s Oh so nice. And uh.

so. I kind of compare this car a little bit to some of my experiences driving those cars and I would say that with 500 horsepower, this car is pretty serious. It's impressive. It's as I said, it's a bi-turbo So just to clarify, that's not the same as a twin turbo.

Here we have a tunnel. Oh, that's that. that snap on the back. It's it's got power.

And here's the one thing because it's a bi-turbo and a twin turbo is sequential. so you have one turbo and then the second one kicks in at a higher rpm. So it's kind of like punch punch whereas a bi-turbo has two turbos of the same size. So they hit at the same time.

So it's like pow with two fists right at once. And this car is pretty ridiculous. If if I floor it, I lose traction on dry pavement and you know that's One thing that I would note is that this is a rear wheel drive car. It's not, It doesn't It's not going to be a it wouldn't take a lot.
Let's just say to get this car sideways and compared to like a Porsche Gt3, it's not. It's not going to handle anywhere near that. Granted, a Gt3 is a lot more car and a lot more money. so they're not in the same ballpark in terms of cost.

but you know just for what it's worth this it almost feels like this raw, untamed power and you just feel it at the back wheels as as they start to spin if you lose traction really quickly and that could be the tires on here as well. but that reminds me a little bit of the um, the Lamborghini, Huracan or the Mclaren was even more so. But the Huracan has this kind of just brute like force power. But being on that Audi system, it's it is all-wheel drive.

So it it. actually. it definitely handles better than this. Again, it's twice the the cost.

It's not a more, it's not really a comparable car, it's just what I'm comparing it to because of what I've driven in the past. But for the cost of this car under 100 grand by turbo V8 500 horsepower, it's It's pretty sick. And the thing that I like about this car is that it's pretty luxurious. I mean it's it's not trying to be super super sporty like it is as far as Mercedes goes, but it's It's very comfortable.

It's it's very nice to drive and the steering is is tight. The exhaust sound is great. You can't change the exhaust sound. That's one thing I would note.

uh, in contrast to like a Porsche, you've got the the buttons. Even the Bmw M5 looks like it's going to have that as well. So you know you want it to be a little noisy. You can press the button and boom.

It's going to be a little noisy. But if you're on the highway for six hours, you don't want to hear the droning, you know exhaust note. You just want to turn it down and you can. Definitely, you can do that with those cards, but this one you can't And I would say I'd be okay with the exhaust being a little louder personally.

but because you know it's a sedan and maybe you're driving around with your your mom, or your wife, or someone who doesn't really want to hear the exhaust, it's probably they found a good happy medium. The cool thing with this is when it's in sport plus mode, when you start putting on the brakes, it'll start downshifting pretty aggressively. And that's when you can start hearing the exhaust. You know, pick up because you're coming down in gears and Boom! the Rpms come up.

So you know after a good day of trading, driving through the Canyon is is pretty fun. You got to have something to do to take your mind off of the work. And I say this just because trading can be so it can just be so consuming. It consumes your entire energy, especially when you have a bad day or you're having a bad month.
It's all that I think about personally and for me. the last seven years trading and building the warrior trading business. My days have been 12-hour days, 14-hour days every single day. I don't take days off.

I you guys know, I haven't taken a single vacation. The longest vacation I had was when I got hurt skiing and the doctor said I wasn't allowed to trade for a couple days. so you know I wasn't that. That's the longest vacation I've had in the last seven years and that's fine.

you know I love what I do, but it's nice to have an outlet to. Kind of just let that stuff go a little bit and I kind of think about it is like all my trading stuff right now is marinating on the back burner and doing something like driving, riding riding my road bike. Um, you know, something that's very rock climbing, so that's that requires you to be there. 100 percent gets me out of thinking about trading.

In contrast, if I mow the lawn, I'm just going to sit there the whole time thinking about trading because it's kind of a mindless thing. If I'm gardening, I'm usually thinking about trading so those for me aren't really good escapes because they don't require as much, they just don't require as much from me in terms of like, mental focus to do the activity. So something like driving it takes. I mean, we're just cruising now, but if you're being aggressive, it takes a hundred percent to really be there.

and that's I think that's good. It lets all the trading stuff kind of marinate and you'll come back to it. And one of the things that's nice is when you kind of step back, walk away. When you do finally come back, you come back with a fresh, fresh point of view.

You hear that exhaust as I break there. It's nice, you know, I'm just gonna say and this is probably not relevant. California has interesting license plates. It says California on the top and what they have is an opportunity.

If you go to Vermont, those of you who like to travel or have been to Vermont, you say you see that the plate says Vermont and then it says Green Mountain State, right? The Green Mountain State. What does it say in New Hampshire It says New Hampshire Live Free or Die. It's a little, you know, a little dark, but but it's good freedom. That's that's good.

New York, The Empire State And what does California say? Well, this play says California and then it says absolutely nothing and so they must have done that for a while. They're like, no, we don't We don't need to market California. California is is so awesome. We don't need to say anything more.

California and then someone's like, well, you know what guys, We're missing an opportunity here. On the license plate, We have an opportunity to promote something to promote something really special. California, the way of life. And so what did they decide to add on the bottom of the California license plate? Given that they could have added almost anything, someone made the decision.
Instead of Green Mountain State, Empire State, they said California Dmv.ca.gov Let's get some traffic to our Dmv website and I think that's crazy. That was the decision. Let's promote the Dmv website. We can promote anything about the state of California.

Let's go for the website. I would have chosen something different. I'm just saying just saying. All right.

So we're going to get on the 101, we're going to hit the freeway here, and then we'll go back to the Canyon Road. Going back the way we came, I don't know what's beeping. It could be almost anything. All right.

So I've got the green light. All right. First, I have to merge into traffic. We're gonna merge responsibly.

Use directionals. Okay, this looks good. looks pretty good. Now we're gonna gently apply the gas pedal.

Yeah, it's incredible. It's absolutely incredible. All right. So we're heading back towards this Canyon Road, and, um, going to head back over to Malibu and then drive down to Santa Monica and check out the boardwalk.

So that's my game plan for this afternoon. You know, again, it's just nice to get out of the office for a little bit. I know one of these things that I noticed with my trading is that especially when I have my headphones on and I'm just, you know, staring at the screen, I can get myself into a real bubble and I may be up five thousand dollars, right? Maybe down five thousand, or anywhere in between. And I'm just.

I'm so focused on that that when I take off my headphones and kind of walk around outside or do something else, it's like almost disorienting because I'm just so. I've just been So in this zone of trading, which is a good place to be, but you can't spend all your time there. Um, you know it's one of these things where you have to practice a lot. There's this um, golfer who was being interviewed and the guy said, um, you know you're you're you're Inc, You're so you're incredibly lucky to be such a good golfer and uh, I guess he didn't like hearing that And so he said yeah.

The funny thing is, the harder I practice, the luckier I get. And you know, with trading. Yeah, I feel fortunate that I have the skill set to be able to do it, that I've gotten to a point where I've been able to be successful. but I don't feel like it is really luck.

I mean it's it's something that I learned how to do and I had to spend a lot of time practicing and I had to go through a lot of ups and a lot of downs before I finally got over the the hurdle. And as I think back on those days when I was a beginner trader, doing things like going out for a drive and you know, getting out of the office was so helpful in giving me space so I could kind of let the strategy and the good things and the bad things just marinate on the back burner and I could come back to them a few hours later or a few days later. Whatever it is with a clear head, you know it's You can't just sit down and try to bang out like learning how to day trade, going through all the classes and do it all in one sitting. it's impossible.
It'll be too long anyways. You have to just kind of go through these processes of learning and applying what you learn. And this is sort of the thing where you have. Like when we teach the classes, we're giving you knowledge and that's kind of like reading a book.

You're gaining knowledge, but that by itself is not a skill. If you read about how to use a clutch or you read about how to fly an airplane, it doesn't mean you're going to have the skill. to be able to do it. you have to practice it.

So in the chat room every day, those are the opportunities where you're able to practice side by side with me. And that's where the knowledge that you've gained starts to transform into the development of a skill. But it is a long process and you know, for me, it was like three years. So anyways, today just getting out enjoying the open road and um, yeah.

so another episode of Driving with Ross. We'll do another one soon next time I'm in a cool car. Well we'll see where it'll be. My next trip will be Orlando, Florida in about two weeks.

So two and a half weeks so that's coming up soon. But I don't know if I'm gonna rent a car for that. I'll think about it. Maybe I will.

Maybe I should. All right, So that's it for me. If you guys have any questions, any comments, leave them below and I'll come back and answer them later. Bye guys, if you're still watching.

Hey Ross, Thanks for the drive and sharing your love of cars. It does have a great sound and I can relate to the way you say your driving takes your mind away from stress as you concentrate on something else and feel the exhilaration of the gearing and power and the sound of the pipes. Got an older Porsche Cayenne that does that for me! Not as rad as this AMG but its within my price range and its paid for! The cost of maintenance on German cars is pretty high but if you like good engineering i guess thats the way it goes.

So let us know if you settle for a GLC to replace the Rover and get car play. Bob. Good trading!
