What's up everyone? All right? Well I'm finishing today in the red. What a day! Man this was crazy. I started, uh, down 17 000 on my first trade on Edsa, I made seventeen thousand. then on vi uh, Zivo Zebo made seventeen thousand dollars on it.
you know, trading it kind of as it squeezed back over the V web. Uh then I took a big position right around 7 39 and it flushes. I added into the flush. then I lost internet Internet comes back on.
I'm down 33 000 on the trade and I cut the loss. I guess I stopped out just like that. Went from break even on the day to down 30 plus thousand one trade. Well you know that's that's life and that's that's also part of how I trade.
I trade big, I trade aggressively, and when I when it works, you know I crush it when I when the pattern resolves the way I thought it would. In this case it didn't But you know if it had would have been a huge winner. but it didn't And so with that I knocked myself out for the day below my max loss which is set at 20 grand and I'll be back at it tomorrow. It's a Red Monday, so starting the week in the red? Disappointing.
But I had a great week last week. There's no no doubt about that. I had a great week last week and um, you know trading is risky. There's just no way around it.
It's you know, I, you know could all say I wish it wasn't But it is. I mean, you know, it's just how it goes. So unfortunately, today I'm on the wrong side of the red green line. But uh, you know, back at tomorrow, back in the saddle and you know, a day like today, it's not going to blow up my account.
It doesn't You know? it's not my biggest red day ever. I've read 16 000 on one, 17 000 on the other. I've had much worse days so it happened quick. Both the losses were quick, so I'm just kind of like whoa.
All right there we go. That's that. Yeah, Back out of tomorrow so I'm back at your box. All right.
As always, trading is risky, trading a simulator before you put real money on the line. because uh, unfortunately, it's easy come easy. Go. Today they went all right.
Thanks for tuning in. I hope you guys enjoy the recap and I'll see you first thing tomorrow. Wow. So uh, I just lost internet in the middle of a trade that sucked.
I was in uh zevo for the break of 750 right here and I lost my internet. By the time I came back up it was at 780 a 688 down 50 cents a share. right down here. So I'm down 16 000 on Xevo and I'm down 17 000 on Edsa which makes it a Red Monday on that trade right there.
I just lost 35 000 that trade right there. I really thought that was going to break through 750. I sized up pretty aggressively considering the time of day is nearly 11 and I added on it through this consolidation. So my initial starter was up here around 7 45, Then it dipped.
I added in the 720s 730s, it came back up. Average was 7 39 and then all of a sudden big drop. No, no fun, nothing fun about that at all. Stopped out at 6 69. So that's a That's a real bummer because 10 minutes 20 minutes ago I just did a recap of how I was up 300 on the day, but read after commissions. Now I'm definitely red after commissions. I'm also read on the day and it's another Red Monday for me. So you know I shouldn't even trade on Mondays.
It's like so ridiculous right now. I don't know, but you know, hey, it is what it is. It's part of trading. Um, my first trade of the day was on Edsa, so Edsa on this one.
I got in. I didn't trade it at all. pre-market Not at all. I didn't trade it at all pre-market in my main account.
In my small account I did and I got green on in my main account. I waited for the bell to ring and I was looking for the break through this pivot here and it broke. I chased it a little bit adding for the breakthrough ten. It then flushed and I lost seventeen thousand dollars in that one minute candle right there.
Lost seventeen thousand dollars in one trade. It was like an instant loss and it was not fun. I then spent the morning digging myself out of the hole on Ziva and I did. I dug myself out of the hole on this break of V Wap right here I bought and then I kept trading it all the way up here to 790..
And so at this point right here before it broke back over view app I was up 17 or 16 16, 17, 000 on Um on this level. So at this point unfortunately I chased it. I got back in right in this area and then it didn't didn't end up working. So where I lost internet was at Um.
It was right as it was bouncing uh, sort of off of seven. So I was in and I was trying to manage it. I then lost internet when it was at seven and when I came back on it was at 686 and I I took too much size on this one. I mean I did.
There's no question about it, I was in. like with like 60 thousand shares. I thought it was going to make a big move. So those are my last trades: 722 added added at 705, added against 705 and then stopped out at 679 671, 669 So you know I averaged down on it a little bit and um and then I lost my Internet.
So by the time the Internet was back up, I was cutting the loss and it came back up quick. But even a momentary a loss of internet on a stock like this is completely just unacceptable. So I'm sitting here with deep regret for continuing to trade. You know, past being break even on the day.
Why did I do it? Why did I go back in right here? Well it just put in. I mean you know the funny thing is this is like one of the biggest moves of the day and I missed it. Puts in this really big move and just like that I thought okay wow, this thing has a shot at getting back to the high. So I stepped up to the plate and you know, had it broken over 750 and we squeezed up to 798 dollars.
I would have had a nice trade but it didn't So I'm gonna eat the loss and live trade another day. That's that's life. that's trading. That's how it goes. You win some and you lose some. That's just the way it is. I had some great days last week. I'll have some great days in the future.
I'm red. Today I had some red days earlier in the month. I'll have some red days later in the month. I'll have some red days later in the year.
33 000 is not the biggest red day I've ever had. Uh, you know 33 000 in the green wouldn't be the biggest green day I've ever had. So you know one trade isn't gonna end my career by any means. It's just one day.
That's all it is. It's one day and you know this is the thing here where as this comes back up um you know I can't get back in it and I I panicked. Sold. I Internet came back on and I was like oh my god I'm down 30 grand on this trade.
I've got to cut the loss and I cut it. That's what I had to do. So Red Red start to the week read on Monday, but I'll be back at it tomorrow as always so a reminder is always how risky trading can be. but that's life.
I'll see you guys tomorrow. I hope you really enjoyed that video and make sure you hit the thumbs up and subscribe to the channel if you haven't already. Our goal is to hit 1 million subscribers this year, but we won't get there without your help. So please please please hit that subscribe.
Im waiting for the day my internet goes out and it HELPS me….. Never seems to work that way. Lol
Have you ever had a big plus when losing internet? What is your P/L for when the internet cuts out? I would say it balances out over a long period of time.
Backup internet ? I think this one is going to be number one in your tools required to trade for high value trading. π
Vids like this are what motivate me to keep going as well thank you for being so transparent man!
That happened to me in July 2020 lost internet and lost $60,000 it happens to us all at some point just most people donβt have that much in to loose I lost 20% that day
Hi Ross, I want copy your trades, I mean I have a broker which have a option to copy other people, you have that system?
You probably need to consider a backup internet line as you did for electricity. You can spend an extra $100/month with a different internet provider to ensure connectivity. Good luck Ross!
Ross, use your phone via mobile hotspot. I myself lost internet connection a few times so when that happens, I connect my laptop through my phone via hotspot.
I'm sure everything will be better tomorrow. Thanks for keeping sharing the content, I really appreciate your efforts.
I was trading forex on a volatile day, then the internet conveniently down.
Lost a lot, what should have been won a lot!
I still suspect that it wasn't coincidence.
Maybe should have backup like cellphone. Make sure different provider.
yeah I stopped out on edsa & then later in the day watched it rip…..oh well tomorrow's another day another trade π
When the market is in a down turn I would guess it's hard to make money long … Trying not to form a bias is tough for me so I set back for a bit and wait for the right timing
I am sorry Ross, but this is nothing compare to you. Thank you very much for all your sharings and lessons, this is my first comment for your channel but I am seeing all your videos
This is why I have a UPS and a backup 4g router. Its so worth it for avoiding Something like this!
Glad The number wasnβt higher! Losing control Of your tools while in a trade is My nightmare!
i trade de same price u do . I traded at 7.58 but price keep rejecting 7.40 , den i know i fcked up , when price drop pass 6.82 im all out .
So yes I've been through the same way just emotionally pulse of trading like whenever I lose the trade I make more trades to make it back and I lose some more like it's a death spiral and it's just really quite frustrating it's really is quite frustrating like why why try to make it all back knowing that there's always tomorrow risking it all. But one of the things I have noticed is ask something to deal with anxiety and fear but mostly exciting it is really stressful when a loser day comes and lose some more I don't mind a losing day and minimize one but like this is bad but it's also anxiety on a lot of things I do at least some of the things I do I mean
As I install sprinklers and trade during the day I try my best not to cut the homeowners cable line. They donβt like the no internet.
Donβt let this one get to you! Fight through the internet issue that was something out of your control! Come back stronger tomorrow!!πππ
Ross… always have your hotspot on your cell phone turned on just in case. I'm sure your computer has WiFi
WIth that much $ on the line, Get another ISP, you can have 2 for a backup. You plug ethernet, if it ever stop, you unplug and plug the other wire.
So I have a question regarding when your Internet went out. My understanding stops do not disappear because you lose Internet correct? Or were you trading without a stop?
Bad luck. I usually avoid trading straight at market open unless the position is already up from premarket precisely because of price action you saw on EDSA.
Ross boss. Will there ever come a day when here you can tell us loyal fans your %return per trade?
Most mobile phone Carriers allow you to use your cell phone as a hotspot which allows you to have a secondary/back up wifi connection.
wow. just last week I asked the question …..Have you ever lost internet while in a trade?…..no answer from Ross, but others said you have hot spot on your phone, so that will not happen to you, but I hope I didnt jinkx you…………Love your vids……..always a thumbs up!……..You'll be back.
I'm 15 and getting financial education from you and other creators, I'm way ahead of kids my age for finances, I've made 7850 US dollars and I'm investing it into crypto and Chevron!!
Just curious, Ross. With stakes such as yours isnβt a redundant internet connection worth the cost?
