What's up, everyone? All right. So Monday morning, starting the week in the Red. Overall markets are red and I went red today too. I tried to recoup the loss and I couldn't I went down 7000 on my first trade, made back four thousand on the second trade, lost nineteen thousand on the third trade.
I'm down twenty three thousand on the day, and that's it. I'm below my max loss. I'm done for the day. Twenty thousand is the daily goal.
If I go twenty thousand in the Red, I stop. In fact, my max loss is set at 10 000 right now. So if I'm down more than 10 000, I'm done. And I I dropped well below that.
So it is what it is. It's a red day. Not a great way to start the week, but you know the market. Uh, overall was red and I was probably too aggressive today considering market conditions.
So uh, you know, as you probably already know, trading is risky. Easy come easy go. Just like that it's gone. and I've traded for like 15 20 minutes today and lost 23 000.
It can happen super super fast so you've got to manage your risk. You should do that by trading a simulator before you ever put real money online. I hope you enjoy the red day recap and I'll see you guys first thing tomorrow morning. What's up everyone? All right? So a Red Day recap here for me.
Started Red on Sgoc. That was my first trade. Was not one of our leading Gappers, but it was on the Gap scan. Ended up gapping about 11.
unfortunately this one. well I kind of thought this might happen anyways. uh the trade that I took, I tried to buy it uh as it approached uh 14 and then pulled back. I tried to do a dip trade at 13, 75 or 80.
and then it flushed down here to 1310 popped up and I had to stop out right here before it went to the low. so I lost 7 000 on that one, then got green uh, 4200 on ahpi as it was squeezing up here so that was 4200. So I was down 3000 on the day and then crtd squeezes into a halt. I did the dip on halt resumption right here, looking for the breakthrough 45 and then the half dollar 50.
it drops lower and I averaged down. I got a little stubborn on it. I kind of said no, I'm not going to cut, I'm going to average down, added more to it and then had to stop out right down here. So I went a little too heavy on size on that one and you know, lost 20 grand.
So unfortunately that puts me right on the day. My daily goal is 20 000 green. so 20 000 red is my hard stop. I don't want to lose more than I'd make in kind of a typical good day.
So just leaving it at that there. it's only you know it's about 10 a.m you know, so It's only 30 minutes in the day. There certainly may be other opportunities, but unfortunately I hit my max loss and I got to walk away. So keeping the loss moderately small relative of course um is important and 23 000.
I can recover that on one good day. But man to lose 19 grand in that one trade was really discouraging that I just I thought right in here we were going to rip right through that level. Um, and that micro pullback did not play out the way I thought it would. So you know it's the ebb and the flow of the market. Easy come easy go. We all know that trading is risky and today's a day where I was not able to get green and I was not able to recover the loss and I just went deeper into the red so got to stop the bleeding and then come back when the market is better. You know, on a day where the market market was hotter, we might have gotten that break there through 60 through 50 and then 60 and then move up towards 75 which is what I was kind of thinking. The market just wasn't hot enough today to get that kind of action.
so it was the wrong idea for me to try to be as aggressive as I was, given the fact that our leading gapper well aehr, one of our leading gappers really didn't have very good follow-through Uh, Nrxp didn't have good follow-through either. And the overall market is red, which doesn't usually have a huge impact on small caps, but maybe today it did. so. In any case, that's it for me.
Quick recap in the red. Not a great way to start the week, but uh, it's it's a red day. It is what it is and I'll be back tomorrow. so that's it for me.

This was quite interesting to watch! I’ll love to share how I’ve been able to understand the cryptocurrency market and I’m currently buying into the dips. Monday made 2.65 ended in the green. Called it quits after things just were not working out.

I've been trading for over a year and a half now and for everyone that day trades for good practice use a simulator and practice with GME when it went big.
You'll make it back Ross. Your a great trader and a great teacher.

Trading only one or two shares, or whatever is a very small position size for the account, totally blows away sim trading.
There is always the law of large numbers. Today the market was simply too weak. Let's move on.
I'm excited to get to 23k… 100$ up, but could have been 2 if there was no pdt. CRTD also lunch dip, I don't trade till 11ish so I go with the flow.

Do you watch ema50 and ema20 crossovers? It’s a good indication of when to buy and when to sell
I made 24.00 I got out and wished ida stayed in. I should have just stayed out till 11am and it took off aehr

Thank you for sharing! I've entered on what I thought was a pullback before and it kept pulling back. And got stuck on a halt before that ended up dropping after the halt. It happens. But the good days make up for the bad 🙂

Is going an extra 13K below a max loss of 10k a disciplined strategy?
Is continuing with trading after an opening loss a wise plan?

I'm still in the paper trading phase trying to figure things out but I was able to go up $100 into the green on just 3 trades.
