Seriously, how tf do you lost money on SPY weeklies? The SPY has done nothing but go up for over a decade. There should be one rule for SPY weeklies… is the SPY above the 50-day MA? If so then there's an 80% chance its going to be higher one week from today so enter a PUT credit spread at the 30%/20% delta and enjoy the free money.
I don't get it, why did he buy short term calls? Isn't it rule of thumb to buy Leaps and sell close to expiration options?
If his calls were >6 months long, he would have made a decent amount of cash.
