It is true that centurion does not impose a specific limit for credit spending. However, for any large items (e.g. buying car), you still need to inform them (concierge) or maybe submit a deposit before purchase. I use it to serve me (e.g. elite upgrades for hotel stay, concierge service, attending gala dinners and functions etc) rather than having this expensive toy as a purely prestige symbol. As far as I know you don't free upgrades for flights unless you purchase special offers tickets (promotional) with certain airlines only.

Its a heavy card because it is made from Titanium, when you close your account you return the card to Amex to be disposed of, it can't be cut! Ive been an Amex Card holder for almost thirty years and I have had all of them – I love Amex Customer Service , I currently have an equally exclusive but not quite so costly as Centurion, Amex Card, The Harrods Amex Card, up until recently Harrods had their own Bank and offered an Amex Card by invitation, the Card still is available but only offers Rewards in store, but it suits me as will my Euro Card, I don't travel enough to warrant anything more than this at the moment! Great post, most of the facts are correct – I think ultimately Amex judges your circumstances and Credit by what you spend and how you manage your account over time…

American Express bank cancelled my blue cash card. This is my opportunity to become debt free again! The service at this bank is outstanding! I will continue to bank with American Express after all my debt has been repaid back to all my banks! I checked my credit report yesterday. I am ok.

Good start…lots of info missing but the centurion does not have a limit based on your spending..that is the plat. Centurion has no limit so one step beyond plat.
