The problem with housing in America is that piece of shit like Andreessen prevent the construction of housing. They can't even hire cops because of that.
They won't 'revolutionize' anything. Andreessen will sell after they sell stock in an IPO and the price rises. It's a pump and dump. He's not interested in the long term. Same with Adam. It is surprising that this can be repeated. This idea does not even qualify as a business school example. It's a fail from the start. How did they get $350 million? It's a pump and dump.
I live in Dominican Republic, in capital’s downtown. Lack of housing regulation did a huge damage to a city in less of decade: 10+ story apartment buildings are constructing constantly, and so close to each other…like window to window. Not something you’re expecting by paying $150-300k per apt. I’m not talking about horrible traffic, continuous construction noise and property devaluation. So…I’d say there SHOULD a be balance between need of housing and damage of existing neighborhoods.
Real estate is a joke. Cities, counties, and HOA should not be allowed to tell you what you can and cannot build on your own land. It is 100% rigged to tie you down to a massive property tax bill every year. Annual property taxes are serfdom 101 and goes against everthing America stands for.
Although a poor manager and with failed execution there is no denying that Newman is study worthy at the art of the pitch and generating investment.
