Great way to start the trading week with some decent premarket gappers. I bought X United States Steel stock for long morning breakout, and shorted BNTX stock with the earnings gap up and sell off. Some other tickers for small scalp trades were $PRTY $EFOI $LEDS $PRPO

So i'm sure we all know about bill gates and melinda gates divorce by now and over the weekend since it was mother's day. I was kind of discussing with my mom over the phone about how this divorce and the details about it might affect microsoft stock. But actually i was telling my mom the divorce details wasn't really that bad at all, melinda gates took the house and bill gates took the windows. Okay, it's monday, i'm really excited to trade coming into the pre-market session today, looking at a lot of these gappers.
So, let's get into it so the first stock i traded was x. This one was gapping up pre-market and if you look at the daily chart, uh pre-market was gapping up around, let's just say, uh 28.70, and if you kind of look at daily, it is a daily breakout, um and uh, and it is a 52-week high breakout. I believe this is not all-time highs for x. This is united states steel, i believe yeah they make steel.
So that's part of the recovery sector, with a lot of manufacturing, et cetera, et cetera, but what's more important, is that this is a very significant daily breakouts and also 52-week high breakout. That's why i was long biased on this. So if you look at the way this is traded, yes, it had a small gap up pre-market it sold off at the open. But if you look at this line here, 28 40s - that was the pre-market, low support and the consolidation level, and that's why that was the key level for me to go long on the stock um.
So if you kind of zoom into two minute time frame - and you can see at the open this thing popped and sold off back down to the key level um so once it consolidated around the key level, i got long starter 2850s. So again, that's very close to key level starter size and i'm only going to add into confirmation if the stock actually breaks out with decent volume. So i got long starter and added some more starters. Still, you know trying to stay small until we confirm right, especially in this market.
I want to see confirmation on the breakout to add into the long side, and once i got into all these long starters, the stop would be loose, stop under 28 or even 2810. So the risk reward makes sense because if this thing breaks out, if you check the daily chart um the resistance from maybe like two years ago, uh was about 30. So you know a lot of room to the upside over a dollar 50 cents per share moved to the upside um. So that's why it's worth a trade um and once it all crosses over v lab um around 28.70.
That's why i got long to full size. So i did sell some around 29, but i was holding a majority. I actually added back into the my original scale out around 2910s. So after this breakout above 29s, we spiked to 2960s and we sold off back to vue up level, but it was picked up.
Really fast, a lot of the buyers coming and no stop got picked up. The fact that we had this long wick down around vue up tells me that the stock is strong, all the weakness, all the dips major dips are being picked up. I did try to add here, but i didn't get filled that stock literally wicked so fast and then immediately jumped back over. So i had a one final small ad um. Ideally, the ad would have been around like the same 29, 29 um 20's area closer to vlab, but i had one final small ad and sold some into 29 60s and then most of it the rest of it into the 30 as close as possible. 30 price target, so we missed it by maybe like five cents uh, but i sold the majority into uh, 29.85 and 29.95. This is um my biggest trade on the day, i'm very happy about it. Um - and i think i did take the meat of the move on this breakout because you can see after this uh almost touching 30 price target, the stock just went all the way.
Back to my my initial entry. Had a small runner didn't work, so i stopped out of the rest of the super small position. Runner position size stopped out break even and the stock went back to test the highs, but unfortunately it's setting like a lower high around 2970s and we're just kind of selling off back to where we came from. So i think we have talked about this before in the previous few recaps i've done in this market.
It's very important, whether it's long or short, to take the meat of the move. Yes, it could have gone up. You know 10 20 more cents, but you know it also came all the way back to my entry as well. So i want to take the meat of the move.
We're just taking advantage of the momentum and for this is like over a dollar move to the upside, so this is definitely a very decent trade. To start the day on the long side, the next stock - i also traded, is bntx, but this one is on the short side. Another thing similar gap up. You can see this gapped up overnight from like 183, all the way to pre-market around 200 and the key level.
You know same idea. Key level is going to be this 198 60s. So i was looking at this thing in the morning. They had decent earnings um.
They beat on everything, guidance, sales, revenue, guidance etc, but uh the stock. If you look at the the daily chart, it looks different right. It doesn't look the same as x. So if you look at b and t x instead of keeping up and consolidating around the key level, 198 60 60s a rough area instead of doing like that, which is what x did earlier, we saw this stock actually broke down.
So i shorted, i did anticipate a little bit around 200 201. You can see the spike and failed. I got in around 200, i added some more into 199 30s and then once i broke down to the key level that we talked about, i was trying to short the bounces, so i got in final size around 198 on the stock and on bmtx um. The spreads are really wide, so it's not something i can just go in full size right away, it's so important to start scaling in right.
So that's what i got in. I had a very decent average after that final ad about 199 190, almost 199 um, and then we got a pretty decent flush down, move to 195 uh covered some, and it was all out most of it by 192, and i had a small runner on the Short side and that got stopped out over here gave back a little bit on the final small share sizes, but this is a very decent short from average 199 down to 192's and even hits like 191 on this um bottom wick. Here but again, i'm just trying to take the meat of the move you can see after uh. You know this thing: yeah consolidated around my majority, my covers it did bounce all the way back to the same key level that we talked about key level around 9. 1. 98. 50S. It went all the way back there and then slammed right back down to the lows: um, even like crack to 185, which is very impressive, a lot of big range.
It almost filled the entire gap. If you look at it, um previously closed was 193. 180. Sorry.
183S, so it almost filled the entire gap, but unfortunately i i was out of the short. I have final small share position around 196, but i was out of it. Here was a small long, scalp um small size, 185 to 188, and then the stock just went all the way back to where it came from the same key level again but um. You know the the long was just a scalp uh.
For me, the biggest the bigger trade is on the short side of the open for b and t x, so those two trades x on the long side and b and t x on the short side. Those were my main watches and were my kind of like the major plays on the day. I have a couple: that's like smaller ones, kind of like little scalps that i never got full size in. If you look at prty um, this one also had a nice gap up.
If you kind of look at it, it looks like the similar chart is x key level. 850's. You can see the same idea right after this thing: reclaimed um the cell initial selloff from 870 down to eight dollars. Once i reclaimed the key level volume came in around key level and this thing spiked to about nine dollars, which is the the pre-market highs.
While i did not catch the initial um morning sell-off or the the big balance from key level 850 to i guess 890s i had a small scalp short because same idea: nine dollars some resistance. Now it's time for our q, a um yogi is asking that what is the time frame i use when i'm trading and what kind of moving averages and indicators i use when i'm actively trading? I look at one minute or two minutes today on x and also on bntx. I was using two minute chart um for today. So that's what i use and i don't use any moving averages.
The only indicator you have i have is um you can see. I have is um this um v wap this yellow line, and it's set at like default, which is zero time period or something, but you just use a default um. I don't use indicators for those who's been watching for a while. You know that indicators are lagging and i don't use those.
I only use v-wap as a rough guidance. I don't use it for entries or exits. I just use it to look at whether a stock is relatively strong or weak. Okay. Second question is from everyday jojo. He or she is asking: how do i track my trades and portfolio? Is there any apps or tools, i recommend? So, if you want, i have a trading journal, you can use to track your entries and exits and your profits risk reward, etc. You'll get that if you sign up for my free weekly watch list in the link below, but once you sign up you'll get a trading journal emailed to your inbox. So that's one way i track my trades.
The second way is with trader view, that's something i use kind of passively on the side just to track the big picture day. Trade trader view is a paid service, but it's pretty decent for tracking your overall um day trading progress, and i do use it myself. If you're interested, i have a discount code below for like 10 off, but i would still recommend tracking your individual trade with an excel spreadsheet, like the trading journal, i'm giving out. The final question is from kenneth he's asking: if i trade options - or i guess, do you feel any reasons to branch out to other securities from stocks.
So i'm a firm believer that you should. You should stick with. What's working really well for you and for me it's working really well trading, just stocks um in the future. Maybe if i really do feel really inclined to learn more about options, i might um, but some of my biggest losses in my, i guess more beginner stages in my year, one and year two i did explore trading options and those were my biggest losses and since Then i haven't gone back.
I think you should stick with what's working for you, so if op trading options is working for you, you should absolutely stick with it, but if you, your losses are from options and trading stocks are working better. Then it's probably a good idea to stick with trading stocks. If you have any more questions, feel free to ask me in the comment section below and also if you're interested in the ht trading journal or the free weekly watch list, the link is below as well. Thank you guys for watching and i'll see you guys next time.

Very impressed with your growth but day traders can hurt short sales. Your short term minor gains can destroy the potential for high returns for those who are in great need. Still love you though, best of luck.
Where’s the video with how to make the gappers list? I know she posted it a while back
The Jokes, I come for the Jokes. Gets me every time.
Your Bill Gates joke was really gay. Enjoy your weekend.

Hello Shay Great Video
A lot of Daytraders out there use 3 or 4 different Moving Averages to plan their Entriss. Do use them ?
Sarcasm always has more volatile sense of humor then any humor. I personally can't live without sarcasm, this is one of the reasons love this channel.
You are the best!!!
what time frame do you trade and what time frame is your reference
Showing P&L would make the videos more interesting

When getting in and out trades are you mostly hitting the bid or ask? Thank you for all that you do. Very helpful information.
What makes you decide to choose the stock to trade or add them into your watchlists? Through stock screening tool, news or only pick market movers?
Humbled Trader, every stock i buy, drops down to the crapper. Should i be short selling everything i buy?
Dang you are a badass! you look awesome… love it! thanks for your motivation and explanation in the video!!!
Another very helpful, informative video – Thanks Shay – and thanks for making me smile with "Windows"!

the biggest bonus on this video for me was the Bill Gates joke 🙂
I still say the cannabis sector is about to Boom! To the moon!
CGC and TLRY are really undervalued holdings worthy of their amazing herb and thankfully the USA legalized safe banking… It's only a matter of time. Please do some vids on the sector.
Thanks Hun
Top quality. No compromise, I even asked for the best from the Russians and the other top Disease and Biowarfares manufactures.
So.. do as I say and by whom I said it must be done, with witnesses , reliable ones.
And also, if I do not get ill, I have stated what is to be done and how it is to be done in and also by Israel also.. and yes, please and dress well and according to the event, do not look like papers, but it is not the weddings.. it is a Biblical Law and Obsercance and Carrying out of GOD'S Command display.. do so or be damned.
