What's up you guys? All right? Well, I'm here to answer the question that everyone's been asking. what is it like to day trade in Saint Martin Well I really can't complain. It's beautiful here and so I'm gonna give you my review of The Island from the perspective of a day trader. so this is I'm appealing to a very Niche audience.

So what kind of questions are we asking? how easy is it to get here? How's the internet and like that, that's it. That's it. Okay, so the internet is good. Uh I've been trading here.

Today was my eighth day and I'll also do a recap during this a little video. So today was my eighth day of trading on the island and uh, internet has been fine. I had one day and I know it's hard to take me seriously but you have to protect your skin so you guys want me around for a long time. So I got to make sure I you know, protect myself.

So um I had one day where I had a little bit of latency issue so I was hitting the buy button and kind of like nothing was happening and then you know three or four seconds later I would see my position show up I'd press the sell button. nothing was happening three or four seconds later I'd see it sold. So that's just the way it's like to trade at a commission-free broker, right? But for someone who's used to fast trading, that was a little unsettling because you feel disconnected from the market. All right.

So that happened on one day. Um I've been trading eight days. not not that big a deal and to be honest, you know I'm trading on Wi-Fi uh which you just never know. Oh look this little C just flew by see can you guys see it? Oh it's gone again.

so beautiful here. uh it doesn't feel like January but it is. So that guy's wearing a speedo. So anyways, um yeah, the internet's not too bad.

uh and to be honest, so we we invite my wife I'm here with my wife, my two boys. we invited my mother-in-law she's been, you know, driving me crazy. so I I wanted to get over here to do this video for you just because I was like I'm just gonna get a little bit of a break. um I was you know I was thinking of where we've been at the house.

they were listening to music and uh we have. There's a Sonos at the house that I rented so she keeps putting on music and then like every every like you know few minutes, 10 minutes, 15, 20 minutes I just change it to something crazy. She's so confused she thinks there's something wrong with the Sono system because it keeps you know. Yes, yesterday I was doing uh, dolphin whale noises.

It's very, very strange when they come through the loudspeakers anyway, so that's that's something that you can and if you really don't want her to come, you could always report her for smuggling. Uh, if you have a mother-in-law and she's not even going to get on the island, they're going to send her right home. So I I That thought crossed my mind and I was like oh, you know, I I shouldn't do that Maybe, but maybe I'm gonna keep that one in my back pocket. So yeah, the internet's good and then so I I'm on the East Coast right? So I Flew here from JFK and it's about a four hour flight from JFK non-stop super easy which is one of my criteria for traveling with two toddlers.

I Don't want to be doing like layovers and or having to get on a small Ferry or get on a small boat or a small plane I Don't want to do any of that. not not with them at this age. so this is non-stop I Had to leave for the airport at like 2 30 in the morning, but to be honest, that's not even a big deal for me. I That was easy because the kids slept the whole way and we got at the airport JFK and then flew down here and we were here by like two in the afternoon.

So easy flight and the place I'm staying is close to the airport so super convenient and um yeah, overall it's been great. You have to bring a plug adapter if you're on the French side, the Dutch side I Think you can use your regular plug but I brought plug adapters and I brought my laptop and two USB monitors. So laptop, two USB monitors and that for me is um, you know that that that's all I need. That's that's adequate.

Um so yeah. I would say this is a place I would definitely come back to Turks and Caicos it's a shorter flight so that's a place I would consider if you haven't been there already. you know you just have to do a little research about what the internet speed is because that's that's kind of the biggest variable for me. My feeling on it is that I want to be able to trade while I'm traveling because you know the fact is like and I this will probably be true this year that maybe 10 days will contribute 30 percent or even 50 percent of my profit for the whole year.

and if I miss those 10 days, you know it's going to cost me a lot. So I try to show up every single day and even if it's only for two hours, I Just try to show up, stay kind of in touch with what's happening in the market, and capitalize on those opportunities. So right now it's January 18th I think I've had one red day for the month of January otherwise it's been all green. I'm on a nice green streak and even though it's not super hot I feel good that I'm just showing up I'm catching some opportunities.

That's what being a Momentum Trader is all about. You have to be here to trade the momentum. So I always whenever I travel I trade I Bring my laptop with me. Um, in all my years, 10 years of trading, over 10 years trading I have taken a one week vacation maybe two or three times.

it's so rare for me. I I Don't feel like trading really. Is that inconvenient that I can't do it while I'm traveling unless I was going somewhere where the time zone was a big issue here. I'm one hour ahead of New York East Coast time Eastern Standard time So I'm one hour ahead, but that's not really a big deal.

So I traded from about 9 to 11 local time or eight to ten eastern time and that's fine. You know that's my two hours and and then I'm good to go. And of course I'm going to do a recap during this episode. I'm going to talk about my trades from today.

today's day eight and um I'll go over those for you. My focus today was trading the leading Gainer Where did I find it right on my Gap scans I use Gap and High Day Momentum scanners. These are custom scans that I have a development team that built out for me. So I Want to give you guys a chance if you want to do a two-week trial and use these scanners the same ones that I'm using, there'll be a link right down below that you guys can check out.

It's a two-week trial so give it a shot, see if you like it, and over the next two weeks of course they'll be trading every day and it's pretty much same routine as always. sitting down bright and early and looking for stocks on the scanners, looking for stocks that are moving up trading Momentum All right. All right everyone. So I'll give you my day 8 of trading in St Martin recap So today was one of those days where I focused on the Momentum strategy.

This is Momentum Trading I traded the leading percentage Gap in the entire market and that's the one that I did the best on. So today it was Nrsn gapping up 95 Biotech stock with News Alzheimer Drug News and uh, we got a really nice move on it now. I traded a couple other stocks as well. At the time, each of those stocks that I was trading were either the leading second or the third leading gainer in the market.

But you know the leading Gainer changes. So what is the leading Gainer at 8 A.M might be different at 8 30 or at nine as news comes out on other stocks. and so as others move up the rank, you know some can move down and that's that's sort of the fluid nature of the market, but my goal as a Trader is visit each day. I'm looking for at least 15 to 20 cents per share out of the market.

Now if I trade with 100 shares, 15 to 20 cents is 15 to 20 dollars. If I trade with a thousand shares, 15 to 20 cents is 150 to 200. If I trade with ten thousand shares, it's fifteen hundred to two thousand, right? So it scales up based on how much size you're willing to trade. So for me, today, trading with my kind of regular positions of anywhere from five thousand to fifteen thousand shares I was able to lock up about uh, well, 2500 on Nrsn and a total profit on the day of 3 107.69 That's not a bad debt I Mean look, this is a great day and to do this on vacation is phenomenal.

My goal when I'm trading and traveling is to spend as little time in front of the keyboard as possible and that means I need to consolidate my trading into the hour where I'm the most efficient, where I typically will make the most and then the hours that I might typically trade at home but not make as much I just won't do that on vacation. So that means I've been trading between 8 AM and 10 am which is Eastern Standard time. So I'm an hour ahead here in St Martin So it's been trading from uh about 9 A.M to 11 A.M which you know does kind of stretch the day. it's all you know, it's already 11 A.M and I kind of am ready to go to the beach and go exploring and do other things.

So Nrsn as you can see is on my Gap scanner. This is custom software that I developed I have a development team that works for me and they built out this software. You've got the scanners here, you've got the charts which you can see as well and Nrsn it hits the scanner, it starts squeezing up and that was right at Uh, let's see where was this. The news came out at 8 50 which is kind of a funny time for news to come out, but in any case, usually it comes out the top of the bottom of the hour.

So as soon as that news came out right here, I mean this thing was Off to the Races and it it moved fast which is often the case. I call this the Algo Spike So you have high frequency trading algorithms that are actually trading the breaking news faster than any human Trader really ever could. So uh, we got this first initial pop here up to 215. pull back and then a pop here up to 244.

this is where I got in it right here. In this move, we got up to 244. so I didn't get in. Of course this is like the first traders that got in.

this would have been probably high frequency trading algorithms, but it held this level and so then I got in uh for the Breakthrough 244 and we hit a high there of 245. Let's see. so I must have gotten in uh would have been. Let's see this is a 15 second 10 second chart so we're in a very short time frame.

Um I got in right in this area here for the breakover 250 and I took my first position of 9 000 shares and let me just check my um my order on this. So I had already traded Apgn which I made 43 dollars on. so that was like enough kind of nothing trade. So I'd already trade Apgn and I already traded.

nuze those were both Breakeven trades for me. uh and then I got that first trade on Nrsn um so sorry. um yeah. so I got that first trade and I bought 10 000 shares on my first trade which is which is solid I mean that's a good position and on that first trade I made about 15 cents per share so that was about fifteen hundred dollars and then I kept trading it as it moved higher and we ended up getting a squeeze uh, really very quickly up to a high of about 260.

it then pulled back I got back in so it broke through 260. we got to move up to 265 to 75 279 and then it started to pull back and when it started to pull back there, this is now on the five minute hit the Hive 279 and pulled back at that point I was like that's good I've done enough on this and I did not trade it past 9 am. so I had a very small window where I traded the stock. it was about 10 minutes and in that 10 minutes I made 2 559.94 there go my glasses again.

This trip has been kind of ridiculous. um I uh anyways um I broke my glasses. uh well I say I I'm not I'm not I'm not totally sure it was me that broke them. um I found them broken on my desk I think it was my one of my kids.

Um so anyways and then the lens popped out. so I lost the lens for a little while Anyways, they're they're back. they're they're back up and running now. Um, sort of as long as I don't move my face too much.

so I gotta gotta pull it back a little bit here. Okay so uh, this false breakout candle here on Nrsn notice how it popped up to 260 and then flushed here all the way down that for me when I saw that I was like I'm not touching the stock again this stock wants to shake out Traders and I don't want to be one of the traders that get that got shaken out So I said I was done and this is something that is so important as a momentum. Trader We want to trade stocks that are moving quickly. We want trade stocks Generally they're on the front side of the move.

We do not want to over trade. That means as a momentum Trader Often we buy High we sell higher and you have to know when to quit. You have to know when to walk away because if you overstay your welcome, that's when you can give back your gains. which I did on Tuesday on Tuesday I had probably ten twelve thousand dollars in winning trades.

Uh, or let's see no. I had probably six seven thousand in winning trades. but I had about ten thousand or eleven thousand and losing trades. And so I I over traded I found myself on the red side of that uh, you know P L line which is part of trading.

So I locked up my first red day of the month on Tuesday but you know that's that's part of the deal. Anyways, today is day eight of trading at say Martin I'm locking up a green day today I am not going to overstay my welcome. Nrsn was the biggest winner. Everything else.

These were stocks that hit scans I jumped on them. We got a little bit of momentum but they didn't open up. You could see nuwe was on there. uh, sorry, um, that one was on there.

but I meant um and use Ze that one's going to be a little bit further down the scan. Anyways, we had N-u-z-e on there. We had Hudi Pbla so this for me is basically like radar. This is showing me what's moving in the market and it's giving me different metrics that I can use to assess whether or not something um to me looks good and so Pbla you got a spike there at uh, top of the hour 9 A.M that was a nice one.

350 up to 450 and RSN that was the one that we got there. So this is the tool that I use to find stocks and this is kind of cool thing about trading. You can do this from anywhere in the world. That's the reality.

Uh, the the accessibility to the market has never been better than it is today. From your phone, you can access the market from really almost anywhere in the world as long as you've got an internet connection. So um, Market has never been more accessible. The software that's available for Traders like the software that I've developed here, but also just general trading software that has never been better than it is today as the technology improves.

but all of that is great but useless if you don't have a strategy. So for those that want to learn more about Momentum Trading, we'll put some links down in the bottom of this video. you can come over and check out at Warrior trading. We've got a two-week trial.
