The accidently buying is extremely horrible. i once wanted to buy in a dip and wanted 50 shares. entered the market order REALLY quicks and little that i know seen i am in a position of 5,050 shares (the accident: i entered 50 twice, lesson learned). and the dip kept dipping, minutes later i am down 1,500 and i got out with a loss. the problem is that it went parabolic after i went out and passed the dip. OUTCH. in trading there are days where all the day goes against you in each and every trade.
I can't thank you enough for making this video. Guess what happened to me last week? I trade on Fidelity and I bought 2500 shares and had a trailing stop loss for (accidentally ) 3000 shares! So when my trailing stop loss hit with $800 profit it shorted me the negative 500 shares I oversold. I was on the phone with Fidelity for 70 minutes trying to get it cleared up. It locked me in and I couldn't get out even trying to buy to cover! In the meantime I was watching the stock continue to go up which meant my short cost me a net loss of $7,000 Why any system would let you put in a buy order of 2500 shares with a trailing c stop of 3000 shares onnthe exact same order is beyond me. I was beyond furious and upset. This weekend I am filming a video about the top 10 rookie day trading mistakes and I hope it's OK if I put the link to that video in These comments later. Thank you once again so much for uploading this video and being humble enough to help us all by learning from it.

Are you using TOS Charts with Lightspeed Level II buy/sell orders? Is there a way to link them so that they stay in sync and not cause a fat finger situation like that?

It is just a matter of time before it happens again, its the curse of having two separate platforms , at least 5 times a year for me trading the wrong ticker. UGH i know your pain .

my first red today in Dec… i started Red on NIO, Then a wash out long on LAZR got me back green by 21$ . then i went yolo on SPY puts at the close for 370 break down. they freaking held it. tape was all red then changed to green i got out for a decent loss 10 cents loss on 70 contracts. Yesterday spy sold off 15 minutes towards close then they pumped back up like nothing happend.

You might want to reinstall TOS. Also check your computer is clean and not dirty and all your ram is being recognized.
