Warrior Trading // Ross Cameron // Day Trade Warrior

What's up everyone? All right? Well, it's a big red day In the small account down over 4 500. This is brutal. This is very disappointing. Uh, I started well.

what was it? Uh, on Wednesday I was up three thousand dollars and that put the account at twenty six thousand. Which meant I was only four thousand dollars away from finishing the challenge. Well, one more setback before I could cross the finish line. and sometimes that's the way it goes.

In fact, that's the way it went. When I came up to just under a million dollars. Uh, when I did my first small account challenge from less than 600 bucks to a million, when I got within four thousand dollars of a million, I had a I think it was a forty thousand dollar red day. It ended up taking me like six weeks to kind of emotionally mentally recover before I ended up crossing the finish line.

So here we are once again getting your finish line and read yesterday: 2000 Red 4000 today. So now the account which started at 23 93 this morning, we'll be at 19500 on Monday or Tuesday, so I'm back to being about 10 000 away. Um, but it doesn't change the fact that I've made some really nice progress, which is good, but obviously this is a step back and so I've got to re kind of recalibrate and slow down a little bit. focus on base hits.

I got too aggressive yesterday, even more aggressive today, and that resulted in two red days in a row. So trading is risky, and if you didn't already know that well here I am telling you, trading is risky and most beginner traders lose money. It's not just because trading is very difficult to learn and there's a lot of things to keep straight. And you've got your computer skills and all the software.

it's also the mental game. It's the dealing with loss and it happens on such a regular basis. It can really be difficult so I still struggle with it and I've been doing it for a long time, so you should assume my results are not typical and as a beginner you'll struggle. Do yourself a favor and trade in a simulator before you put real money on the line.

I hope you enjoy the recap. It's a Red Day recap. Biggest red Day of the small Account challenge. both in dollar and percentage.

It's not a good one, but just like every other time I will rebuild, I will recover and I will get back to where I was before this red day. Uh, you know, before too long. So stick with me on the journey. We'll get there today's day 35 in the books as a red Day recap.

Alright, see you later. All right. Well, it's a Red Day recap. This is the biggest red day that I've had in the small account challenge.

Uh, it's super discouraging, but it is my own fault. Of course that's how trading goes. Can't blame anyone except yourself. I am Lp News out.

Uh, this morning. Fda approval halted. Uh, I thought the news seemed great. I was uh, bullish on the headline and I jumped in it at Uh 38 right around here.

As it started squeezing up, it moved fast, it moved up and I chased it for sure. hit a high of 45, then pulled back and on my first trade I lost 2 000 bucks on this pullback and then I got back in for a trade at the open. Uh right here. I got in for the break back overview app and I lost another two thousand bucks.
So two two thousand dollar losers puts me down 4 500 bucks. I the second trade was risky because I was already down two thousand and I took it anyways. I thought we would get a break a view app at the Open. I I thought the news was great and you know it's confusing.

You've got Fda approval. Um, that seems like a great catalyst. It's a recent ipo stock all times. all-time highs were 28.

I thought this looked great. You know I was thinking on Glsi and some of these others that you know had good news come out when their recent ipo stocks and boy some of them can be phenomenal. Well I guess that was wrong. So unfortunately my account's down big today.

I started with 23 993 dollars and 59 cents and I'll be back around 19, 000, 19, 400 tomorrow or on Tuesday. when I get back. So you know, two big red days in a row. It obviously was read 2000 yesterday, so now I'm down 6 500 in two days.

I've given back, um, more than 20 of my account from a high of 26 you know, to now back to 19. I think that for sure on this one I held too long and I went for big moves and I thought big big potential and this was would have been a hard one to take really quick base hits on because the spreads are big and so wasn't really an appropriate one I suppose for the small account and I took it anyways. Maybe that was partly for lack of anything else that looked better. Apop was our leading gapper and that one failed as well.

So well, it's a red day going into the weekend. That's not a fun way to start a long weekend and I'm red on the month now. But I'm not really looking at my stats on a monthly basis in the small account. Um, which is sort of freeing in a way.

I'm just focusing on the account, but I'm going to have some work to do. It's going to take me. It's going to take me a week to make back the losses of the last two days a week at best. I mean, it's going to take some time to make it back.

So the small account continues. It's day 35 and I thought that I was, you know, kind of lined up to finish the small account challenge this week with two more decent days. And those two days instead of being two two thousand dollar green days were two days. Six thousand, five hundred in the red.

And now I've got over ten thousand dollars between me and the thirty thousand dollar goal. I suppose it's a reminder that trading is a marathon, not a sprint and just to take it one trade at a time. And if you have to take a couple days off, there's nothing that looks good. It's better to do that than to force it and take high-risk trades and have unnecessary losses.

But I don't know on another day maybe this one would have worked. It seemed like a great setup. I'm not sure why it didn't continue. I'm really not not sure, but that's trading.
You know there's there's no sure thing, there's no guarantee, and as hard as I might try to avoid big losses, they're gonna happen from time to time. And I I got I got one today. so that's day 35 in the books. I will live to trade another day.

I didn't blow up the account, but I did take a good loss. I'm glad I cut the loss where I did of course, but I am a bit discouraged, uh, by this red day going into the weekend. So again, like I said, um, if you can't handle that, discouragement, trading is the wrong career for you because you're going to deal with a lot of it. As a trader, you know just the way it is.

You make money. You lose money. You make money. You lose money.

and those who succeed make a little bit more than they lose. It takes a long time even to get that good, but you still have to deal with losses and you have to be able to brush them off and get back on the horse. And when I get back on the horse on Monday or Tuesday, I'm gonna have to try to. Just you know, put this day behind me and focus on just getting a couple of base hits and smaller goals of 500.

You know, 250 500 just to get a couple green days under my belt, after two red days and get back into the in the groove. Uh, so 35 days of the small account challenge here. I think this is my second little red streak that I've had. I had another one um, or in the 20s stage one about 10 days ago.

maybe 10 trading 15 training days ago. So this is the second time I've had kind of a little red streak. This one's been bigger with two back-to-back losses. but um, you know I recovered from the last one.

I'll recover from this one, but I'm sure there'll be another one in the future because that's the way it works. So I guess I'm glad it's the weekend, gives me a time, give me a chance to kind of reset and come back and maybe recharge next week. So that's it for me. Man, I hope one day i can deal with the losses as well as you do. I guess that's what makes you a pro, and such a successful trader. I've had two bad weeks in a row where i basically gave back all my previous month's earnings. And it burns, man. Trying to shake it off, but confidence is shaken, now i'm like cutting my winners even shorter, as long as they win. Back to the "no no"s… sigh

What size of the account balance (like share size or percentage of account balance) would u recommend trading with for a beginner in a small account??

Having the same experience here Ross. This week was all red for trading and I am down about the same 20% like you are.

  6. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Donne Sids says:

Was having 5 day green streak, took my little account from 1,050$ to 1,839$, and then I saw $ANY fall down hard in pre-market, so I decided to buy "the dip" at 7.63$ average, and sold for a loss at 6.67$…
    Cost me like 240$.
That sucks but now I learned that I have to be super careful on buying the weakness in these types of movements…

Good luck to all next week!

It looks like someone or group of people are buying these shares at previous day close, watching it rip the next day and dumping them before or just after the bell rings, when they notice the volume increases. Been like this for a good Month or so now. It'd say its not a good time of year for small accounts atm.

  8. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Brett Alan StrollS says:

You are a monster. I see how you have those huge gains. Your style is enticing but seems like it could be exhausting. I think i am gonna grind my small account.

Glad to be following you on your small account challenge. So sorry for the loss. Hope you can have a great weekend with family and refreshing your mind. (Also, I still think it’s pretty darn impressive that you grew this account to $19k in such a short amount of time with no leverage)!

Would it have been better to wait until it broke and retested above VWAP? My take is that you take more risk simply because you can, unless you think it wouldn't have made a difference? Any input is greatly appreciated. Thank you for all your recaps!

  12. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars noor alansari says:

  14. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Pier Alvarado says:

It was super risky, we both chased it and I entered higher than you, but sold 7 seconds later for 1.14$/share profit. Thank you for your continuous teachings, support and transparency

Ross trying to force that smile on his face as he said see ya laterl lol, God red days hurt!! Ive had a red month! I wish someone would take me under their wing and show me the way! Id kill (or save) to be able to know what im doing and to make even a fraction of the funds you make ross! Please KImo sabe! instead of doing a small account challenge, can you do like a teaching a guy with no experience how to successfully day trade and watching him go from broke to financially comfortable challenge!!! I call the first one if so!!! could be a side project, hush hush whiile we go through it and record and released upon success or fail!! BUT IT WOULDNT FAIL CAUSE I WILL SOAK IN YOUR TEACHINGS AND MAKE YOU PROUD KIMO SABE!!! IM 31 LIVE WITH MY MOM and HAVE 2000 dollars to my name!! IF YOU COULD SHOW ME HOW TO DO WHAT YOU DO AND CHANGE MY MISERABLE EXISTENCE THEN IT WOULD SOLIDIFY YOU AS THE GOAT TRADER OF OUR TIME!!

  16. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Matt says:

Hey Ross did you notice urself focusing on that ending amount and trying to get there? I feel like every time i do it trips me up. Been using a little mental hack and instead of focusing on the next round number i start focusing on a larger number so the current one doesn’t seem like a finishing target but a stepping stone.

  17. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars P N says:

Next week let us all hope and pray that we make back our losses. I lost $400 today. I cut my losses really quick. If I stayed in one more minute I could have lost thousands from my small account. All I know is that Ross can recover this on Tuesday or any day….we live to trade another day…enjoy your long weekend everyone. Peace and looking forward to green days ahead πŸ™

  18. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Shafiq Shinwari says:

I had a red day today lost 2 trades on APOP . lost 10% thanks God i stopped after that otherwise it would have been a disaster . I am sure you will hit 30k next week .

  19. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Bret Wickstrom says:

Thank you so much for being honest and transparent. Today was a hard day for my trading but it helps to see that even professional, highly profitable traders have moderate losses regularly.

  20. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Kain Thomas says:

Got πŸ’© on yesterday so little green today.
This small account is a 3 act play and this is the sad part just before you crush it next week and put this baby to bed. πŸ’š $ROSS

  21. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Ghost Peppered says:

Maybe day before a 4-day weekend is a no-trade day? It might be interesting to see if we analyzed certain calendar days year-over-year if there are any special days, or days before holidays, that are consistently bad days which we could just mark as permanent no-trade days.

  22. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars All We Do is Twin! says:

I have been doing this challenge with you and was at $29k today and now I'm back to 24.2k (back under the PDT rule with my broker)… This should have been a no trade day…. The momentum sucked today

  23. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Christian M. says:

There was nice stock today, but the opening where full of booby traps. Sorry to ear that. Take a nap, you will feel better. Happy labor day… Market is close.

  24. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Ryan SM says:

IMPL now down on the day -22%!! Glad I avoided that one. I went short on all three plays that I took today, went 3/3 and got a much needed confidence boost. Enjoy the lengthy weekend Ross!

  25. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars xenoxParadox says:

Gave back half my profits today and yesterday. Astrology is a real thing. We're all taking L's while those that move with the stars are the ones winning all our lost money. I knew I shouldn't trade Thursday and today but FOMO got the best of me especially Gold. If you don't plan on trading, avoid watching the charts.
