What's up, everyone? All right? Well, today's Day 15 of the Small Account Challenge. Slow and Steady is the name of the game today. I'm up. 396 dollars.
Not bad. Two trades between day 10 and 20. I'm taking up to two trades a day. Remember, between days one and ten? I was taking one trade a day.
So one and done for the first ten days. Now going in here. Uh, two, two, and and doesn't have the same ring to it. But that's okay.
So two trades today. Green on both of them. 396 dollars and 20 cents. My account this morning had 7 550 to start the day, so producing just under 400 bucks is good.
It's a little over five percent, six percent. a decent return. Nothing outrageous. Of course, I'm not using any leverage right now, which is certainly slowing down the growth in the account.
But Slow and steady is the name of the game, especially with a small account. Because when you use leverage, you put yourself in a position where you could lose the entire account and then owe your broker money. which is the worst case scenario. But it happens.
So in case you didn't already know, trading is risky. A lot of beginner traders who come into trade, they are just gambling with their money. They don't know what they're doing, they throw money at the market and they lose it. Do yourself a favor, do not trade with real money until your first proven profitability in a simulator and remember my results are not typical.
Yeah, I'm doing a small account challenge. I've also been trading for a long time. All right, So that's it for me. Day 15 in the books.
I hope you enjoy the recap. Hit that thumbs up and I'll see you tomorrow for Day 16. What's up everyone? All right? Well, today is day 15 of the small account Challenge. It's 9 25 and I have locked up my two trades only took two trades today.
the first trade on Nete news broke right at 8 30 A.m Uh, news that they were entering into a 60 million agreement to purchase 1200. this. uh, dispensary? entering into a 60 million agreement to purchase 1201 electric delivery vans. I thought that seemed like a good catalyst and I jumped in it as it was spiking up at 13.50 but with only 250 shares, it squeezed up to a high of 14.45 and I took profit into that squeeze.
One entry, one exit nete, the next one. whlm. Whlm was our leading gapper this morning. I took the trade on the break of view app at 6 27.
I got in right as it was breaking view app at 6 27. A little bit risky, a little aggressive. I took the trade because it was the leading gapper this morning. Leading Gap is the one I like to keep focus on.
It squeezed up to a high of 55. I held through this whole consolidation with my final exit right here following a false breakout on this attempt to break through 655 double topped at 6 55.. this may still be in play today, but it needs to get back through 6 55. But in any case, doesn't really matter because the small Account Challenge at this point through Day 10, Day 20 is two trades a day. I took my two trades and I'm done for the day of 396.. my starting balance in the small account this morning was 7 550. So another nice day. It's not.
uh, I guess it's like a five percent gain. about a little over five percent. Six percent. So that's not bad, making progress slow and steady.
Tomorrow, Uh, I'll be closer to eight thousand dollars of equity. No doubt. trading without leverage is slower. so the progress is slow.
but slow and steady is the way to go. So there you have it. Day 15 of the small Account Challenge. As always, my results are not typical.
Assume as a beginner trader, you will lose money. With that assumption in mind, trading a simulator before you put real money on the line. I'll see you tomorrow for day 16. And that right, There was an entire video with no ads.
I don't monetize my youtube channel with video ads, which means you guys get to enjoy the content. But do me a favor, please hit that subscribe button and give me a thumbs up and let Youtube know that this channel is the channel to watch if you want to learn about Daytrade.
Why don't you show us the actual prices you bought and sold. Just because the stock gap up and pulled back you always bought low and sell high. When I put limit price to buy I did not get a fill until price reversal. When I put market order I always got bad prices and had paper profit for a few seconds and then took a beating!! I am a little guy and got creamed by the big boys and computer algo more often than not..
I am with you Warrior. I am going to follow you rigorously going forward Sir..
Iβve been studying and trading for 2 yrs now (l have lost 24k trading so far)and Iβve recently accepted I will be in the SIM a minimum 1 more year hopefully ,which is not long π my biggest problem is l want it to bad
Hi Ross. What platform are you using to execute the trades here? No esignal, the other one. thanks!
Have you ever traded a stock with a smaller float than WHLM? It showed 143K on the scanner.
I learn alot from watching these the only complaint is that realisticly no one with a small account shoul be making a trade with over 50% of there account or even 25% but i understand that the same emotions doesnt apply to you bc obviously u have a ton more money than someone with an actual small account lol. Keep doing what u do lots of knowledge given for free on this channel π€
what resources/books/videos did u use to become this good? I wanna be just like u when it comes to day trading and I know I have the passion, but I lack the resources and tools.
Very disappointed you didnβt have the discipline to stick with ONE trade… come on man
Use CMEG as well. Up 130$ today, but down about 130$ with fees and commissions. Its a struggle to not keep trading, but learning less trades is better by watching you Ross! Going to try and stay disciplined.
how is it he is not under pdt rule with such a small account? which would be only 3 trades a week.
Nice your reporting percentage gains, finally transparency is surfacing!
If I could get even $100 a day, I would be the happiest guy alive. π
Ross keep your eyes on LOKB.. when you get a chance itβs coming out as an IPO in Septemberπ
Do you have any discord servers that are useful? that i can sit and read while im learning?
He bought 2200 shares on WHLM which means that it's over his capital. I thought he was not using leverage. Did I miss anything?
Ross I just wanna say THANK YOU for all you do. All of the videos, the wisdom, everything. Thank you a million times over.
If you are not trading FLGC this afternoon you must be Ross Cameron.
Spent probably 20-30 hours over the weekend tracking patterns from the last few years so proud of nyself cause now I see them forming everywhere and I can make money in it 85% of the time
haven't been here awhile can someone gv an update on the percentage growth of the small account
Iβm expecting to see you have a 5 figure day today in the big account. WHLM provided a lot of opportunities today.
@Warrior Trading,
It's One and Done and Two and Run. Two and Through. Two and Revue (journal). Two and Subdued. Two and Taken-to-the-cleaners. Two and FLEW. Two and Pheww. Two and whooooo. hehe π
I choked down my fear and traded again today, unlike yesterdayπ I ended up breaking even on the false breakout over vwap on AUTO this morning. To me that's a win, I didn't lose money and I got myself to stick to my strategy and hit the buy button when it was time. I got off around 12, other than the whole dollar move on WHLM around 11, everything was having repeated false breakouts and I had already spent half my capital for the day anyways. Crappy market day
This is what I need to watch to how to grow my small acct, thanks Cameron
Just hit a nice little pull back at about 1.45pm EST on HLIT. Bought at $10.35 and stock shot up to a high of $10.53. Boom!
When you make it to 25k you should give away 5k to 5 people or 25k to fund one lucky traders day trading account.
How did you deal with the emotional side of things once you started earning substantial income per day Ross? I'm ready to go with real money after 2.5 years in the trading sim. And often have high strike rates of 78% by just trading the best and leave the rest. Very little trading tbh.
Ross's steady growth on this small account is like a granite support column of discipline.
Hey Ross, can you advise where do you get these early catalyst news from? Thank you.
Iβm struggling boss.. I feel like I canβt get a good read on the price action these past few months
