The minute the government started giving kids money to go to college, the colleges were like Whoa We Could raise our prices and they started increasing prices because of the access to money and they started throwing things in to college. You know, nicer dorms, nicer gymnasiums, different things because the kids had the money. Well then tuition went up and then the government kept saying oh, college is now more expensive. We need bigger loans.
We need more money before the government got involved College was affordable. nobody had to borrow money to go to College It wasn't cheap. Maybe you had to get a job now if you were Rich you didn't have to work. your parents can afford to pay you and it wasn't anywhere near as expensive as today.
But the government came in with student loans to make College affordable. And they made it astronomically expensive. And in fact, not only did government artificially increased the cost of a college degree, they also destroyed the value of it. Because now, because the government loans all this money to kids to go to college, everybody goes now.
everybody gets a college degree.
this also leaves out the racial riots that these colleges instigated not only during BLM riots but decades ago during the race riots of the 60s and 70s, which they then used to clear out areas around the colleges to buy up for expansion.
Anyone that goes to college for a job that doesn't really need it is a fool. ๐๐๐
The problem is that government used to give that money to the colleges but the regulate the cost of the college. Instead they loaned the money to the kids and removed all the spending controls off colleges. Now colleges spend huge amounts of money on bs recruiting and giving free rides to top students and charging out the ass to the average ones.
He's right. My tiny college has a huge and expensive gym with pool, rock climbing wall, etc. I'd rather a vocational school over any college.
This only makes me wonder what's the point of the economy in the first place. ๐คฆ
