As you can see, this is a screenshot showing tons and tons of empty desks and people here disconnecting computers and clearing out the desks, there's. Obviously, some on this side of the office that haven't yet had the screens removed, but over this side of the office, there's not a screen in sight. There's also tons and tons of other screenshots from this video showing the citadel logo on the top of the building and obviously citadel owned every floor in this building.

So it looks like citadel absolutely are moving out of their current chicago office, but have they been margin called or could there potentially be another reason? Well mcbiggham says so far, i'm putting it down to one of these three things: upgrading computers. My company did this earlier. This year, and they had people come in after hours as to not disturb people during business hours. I don't really think citadel employees would appreciate coming into the office at six in the morning or seven in the morning and finding somebody fiddling with their computers and being told sorry mate.

You can't use a computer for another hour or two, because we're doing some upgrades number two they're getting ready to move into that new york city office, but they weren't supposed to move into their office until 2022, and that office was only mentioned once in an article Back from march 2020 and therefore they might not even be planning that move anymore and number three, they could be doing some layoffs and therefore, if they are shrinking the size of the company, they have no need for all the additional computer equipment. Now there is some pushbacks of people saying well. If it was only pc upgrades, they wouldn't really need to be packing away. The extension cords those would stay there either way they just replace the screens or replace the pc units themselves, and they also have two offices in new york already, so they probably wouldn't be moving people from chicago to that new york office, because they've already got two That are full, and somebody says, let's resolve this citadel was moving to a new location once and for all from what i've watched and the analysis i've heard from wrinkled brain apes, i'm confident to say that citadel is bailing out.

The clue which has the most weight is if they were moving people to new york, a location referenced in a post article in march of 2020. They'd have already moved some people there. By now it would have been a gradual move department by department or job function by job function or even level by level, for example, as of right now, there's no evidence that the new location mentioned in that article is even ready. It's not supposed to be ready until 2022.

Very rarely, the companies move on a dime and move everyone at the exact same time and also there's other minor clues in the video, such as who leaves their desk plants in the office during a scheduled inter office. Move. You take everything, that's on your desk photos and plants with you when you go, although, interestingly there's some other points that we should consider as well, don't forget that kenny sold most of his homes this year for a loss in the middle of the best time possible To sell homes he's been selling his at last citadel currently owned this office, so maybe they're selling the office to get cash in and they're gon na rent somewhere else, maybe rent a whole floor or rent an entire office elsewhere, but they're just selling the current one. Because they're desperate for cash, so actually maybe they are just around the corner from a margin call if they have to go into such extent, such as selling offices and selling homes just to get cash in the door.

If that is the case, it'd mean that business is very, very bad because it means they can't get loans from other banks or institutions and they're having to resort to extreme measures like selling off offices and selling off assets just to get that cash. I guess really we'll just have to wait until monday morning for any news announcements. Maybe citadel will announce that they've closed their office and they're moving elsewhere. Maybe they had to sell it off or maybe we're going to get the announcement on monday morning.

The citadel have gone bankrupt. It would also be a very funny time for them to plan an upgrade just as evergrande is about to default. That's obviously going to spill over into the u.s markets and therefore u.s institutions are going to need as much cash as possible and therefore it'd be weird for citadel to spend multiple millions, upgrading and moving offices right now to potentially tile this together. G-Dog tweeted saying i know you've seen this before, but for others citadel's top holdings.

As of the 16th of september, which was friday marge, please ring, this is obviously citadel's top holdings, the s p, 500, the qq trust apple, google, amazon, facebook, microsoft and more and obviously, for the last few days, the s p 500 has been very, very red, as You can see from this trend line the s p 500 actually broke quite significantly under this trend line, and maybe that was all that was needed to push citadel over the edge into bankruptcy and marginal territory. Now that i've just looked to my next tab, the 17th of september was friday and the 16th of september was actually a thursday, but on the 17th of september it looked even worse in the markets. This is obviously a screenshot of the s. P 500 split by sector and pretty much every single sector.

Every single company in every single sector was read on that friday, so maybe all of that red across the s p, 500 trips citadel into that margin called territory. And that's why they've spent all weekend clearing out their office but, as i said, we'll just have to wait until monday morning to get that announcement. Maybe they have gone bankrupt, maybe they've just moved offices, maybe they've sold up and moved elsewhere. We can't really assume until they announce it now.

I also wanted to quickly touch on the reverse repos. On friday, we saw a new all-time high in that overnight reverse repo facility of 1.218 trillion dollars, which is absolutely obscene, and finally, we've also got some good news from adam aaron you're gon na, like this amc, theaters just got the rights to direct tv's sunday ticket Starting tomorrow, at 40, theaters on sundays watch pro football games at amc. Adam aaron is having massive breakthroughs in the sports industry. Getting mma and wrestling, and now football in there as well.
